It was on a local page yesterday and the FBO said that you don't need to reapply it, which was blatant lie. In messages she back-tracked and stated she herself does need to reapply. Note that she stated this on a post from someone asking for a good sunscreen for a child with sensitive skin . Apparently it has a 5 UVA rating, though I have no evidence of this, just the same FBOs word.

I used to have a ........literary disagreement....... on Orwell with a former poster, Bov. They were more inclined to 'Animal Farm' but I've always felt that '1984' better related to MLM activity.

If any of you can find a copy of 1984 lying around - DP/DPIL bookshelves are often a good place to start - then I'd strongly recommend it as posters' weekend reading if you haven't already placed it by your bedside. Apart from anything else, it's a thundering good read.

Ches my child had cancer. You wouldn't believe the shit you hear about what might cure them. Not funny, no, but a bloody relevant point. As someone directly affected I have no problem with it. But I can see why you find it close to the bone.

I say my child had cancer - he is in remission. We can probably breathe again in another 2.5 years.

I'm in the same boat Twunk sadly there are a lot of us around and yes it's ridiculous what cures people suggest to us. The rest of the bingo card tries to be funny which is why the cancer child 'joke' is so inappropriately to be there in my view.

UK is obviously No.1 because they are (or rather were!) receiving more CCs than anywhere else. The rest of the world wasn't happy and now that they're being brought inline I doubt they will retain that title!

I suspect that there are a lot of disheartened bots right now, that many will drop out over the coming months and that Facebook will become full of direct selling posts with the increased pressure on retail.

I see the child's IV line as a horrible deceptive thing that some bots say to people with sick children. It isn't funny but it is real. I read about a person who was breaking open JuicePlus tablets and putting the powder in a child's TPN line. A completely sterile line that goes directly into a large vein. They were putting non sterile powder designed to go in the mouth, directly into the blood. The consequences of that could be very serious.

I think the concept of parents of sick children being targeted is the tragic bit of tragicomical. It isn't funny but needs to be raised as a dreadful thing that is happening.

At the best, there will be a great deal of preliminary re-writing of presentations etc. At worst, there will be a great deal of re-assessing of people's own positions.

r.e. the changes at FL: once again I'm thinking that I'm really lucky to have a decent contract and the rights of an actual employee. My bonus plan is written into my contract, and the company I work for would have to consult staff before any change happened.

The company I worked for 3 years ago actually did change its bonus plan (they wanted to reduce the % of our income that was bonus). We were all sent a letter with the estimated shortfall that this would create, given details of how we would have 6 monthly reviews where we would have an opportunity to have our baseline salaries increased to compensate (based on evidence of achievements/ competency), and were actually told about the changes a year ahead of implementation so that we had a final bonus as a 'parachute payment' in between.
