So that's why I'm seeing a spike in recruitment posts. Explains it all

noyouarenotalifestylecoach · 10/05/2016 23:24

To our ex managers here - how would this change have impacted your business?

What are the positives that others are mentioning?

Mrshumblepants · 10/05/2016 23:26

They will be all be swapping litres of green goo, for litres of yazoo very soon!! who makes that stuff anyway? im thinking now would be a great time to buy shares! 😂😂

Twunk · 10/05/2016 23:26

You know for the average bot (and by average I mean the ones who make nothing or close to nothing) it didn't look like a particularly amazing plan anyway. Going by a top male bot's video on getting to manager, it took a hell of a lot of effort to make less than £400 gross (excluding inevitable discounts, training, expenses, etc).

That's per month. Per MONTH!

And now it's going to be harder,

Fuck that!

Awaiting the inevitable "Haha youve all got it wrong you stupid haters!" Bot tsunami on this thread... 5. 4. 3. 2.....

Nolongerconfused · 10/05/2016 23:29

I was thinking this is rexy's way of controlling the uk and keeping himself from having to pay out on the cheques / holidays etc. The CC's from their recruiting business is now halved and they will have to sell buy what they can't gain from recruiting meaning the chances of qualifying for the incentives is reduced. We did have it easier than the rest of the world. Now he knows he has the U.K. Bots brainwashed and doing well they can keep things ticking over while he tackles and grows exploits another country

Mrshumblepants · 10/05/2016 23:32

On a serious note though, any bots who are lurking here and considering getting out now, even if there is just that twinge of doubt...think very very seriously before hopping from one dubious scheme straight into another even more dubious one!!! Read the threads, visit timeless vie, ask some questions here, DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Take some time to consider your options, there is support here for you either way xx

Nolongerconfused · 10/05/2016 23:36

I can't think of any positives. You go through the same effort to recruit and get less CC's. There's no positive spin to that. Less CC's through recruiting means more must come from retailing - that takes time to build and isn't stable as they are saying. Harder to get 4cc full stop and newbies will feel the same and quit.

Only positive is going to be watching those cheque amounts dwindle Grin

Toobusytowee · 10/05/2016 23:38

New blog post on MLM Bingo. If any bots try and come up with their usual daft remarks, point them here. botwatchblog.wordpress.com/2016/05/10/the-things-mlms-say-or-mlm-bingo/

HopefulHamster · 10/05/2016 23:44

Interesting change. I'm worried about my friend who is new to the business.

I'm torn between not wanting her to make any money because I despise FL but wanting her to do ok through retail alone because she's a friend and I care about the fact she's invested. She was focused on retail over recruitment anyway (because she doesn't know how to network!!) but now it will be tougher for her even if she does miracle of miracle find some recruits.

I did buy the suncream off her (slightly embarrassed to say that) so if anyone finds out if it actually stands up as suncream okay please let me know!

Toobusytowee · 10/05/2016 23:56

just caught up on the evening's chat. Someone asked about why the UK has a limit of £200 for joining an MLM. Apparently there is a law that it cannot be over £200. According to the DSA.

Mrshumblepants · 11/05/2016 00:08

toobusy do we know that law to actually exist then? Or is it just a guideline recommended by the DSA themselves?

Toobusytowee · 11/05/2016 00:13

The DSA say 'the law governing MLMs' has put on this restriction. Are they talking about the trading schemes act? I'll have a quick look .

Toobusytowee · 11/05/2016 00:24

Actually, I'll a look in the morning. Off to bed now.

Mrshumblepants · 11/05/2016 00:24

I have been looking, but havent found anything yet too hope you are having better luck?

Mrshumblepants · 11/05/2016 00:25

Crossed posts! 😊 Night night!

cozietoesie · 11/05/2016 00:30

Try the Trading Schemes Regulations, as amended. (It's not straightforward, though.) Smile

chesarasara · 11/05/2016 05:46

The bingo card is great, one I can see me printing out and keeping in my bag but could we not have the iv reference on it as that doesn't feel funny at all - yes to 'I feed my child every day' but the iv one implying that a bot have it to their own child to cure cancer isnt funny at all.

chesarasara · 11/05/2016 05:54

Hamster don't feel conflicted as your friend needs to get out now before they get in too deep. The longer you stay in a mlm the harder it becomes to leave.

Also look back on the earlier threads as there is great case study of a retail only bot who was actually a great salesperson and they went all out on just retailing the aloe gloop. They made some money but the profit high enough in their view all that time and effort. There was a great video of them telling others how retail only doesn't work in FL.

Bovnydazzlers · 11/05/2016 07:39

The recruitment cc change and the positive spin on it (there clearly is no positive at all) it all a bit 1984-esque.

All hail the generous Rexy who has reduced the cc requirement to only 2 new recruits and 2 retail! How the party loves it's followers!

Bovnydazzlers · 11/05/2016 07:43

And there definitely isn't any positive changes to outweigh this (huge) negative? E.G bigger percentage commission on retail to compensate?

Seenthelight21 · 11/05/2016 07:54

Your right it is a HUGE negative!

They will be doing same amount of work for less cc's! It's not going to go down well
It's going to make it even harder for people to achieve now

I did wonder why I kept seeing recruitment posts and shake posts as they are all scrabbling around desperately like I used do trying to get someone to join there team and buy some products!

I felt stressed doing the 4cc before! I dread to think about the pressures people will be under now

Twunk · 11/05/2016 07:54

Nope. Nilch. Nada. Niks. Zero. Bugger all. Rien.

DoTheMLMHustle · 11/05/2016 07:58

So even though we all concluded that the whole compensation plans and recruiting shizzle was impossible enough, turns out that it's been easy compared to other countries. Looks like those big chequers are in serious danger now doesn't it

LeafTreeRaker · 11/05/2016 08:09

The minions will be working themselves in to a great big whopping burn out to try and make just the tiniest bit of money - for a big cheque which is now not going to be as big as they were during the Jo'burg rally. It's not to stop pissing other countries off, it's to save Sexy Rexy's bank account from slimming down too much. He likes it morbidly obese.
