Thought provoking indeed, Toobusy. Thank you for the link.

cozietoesie · 09/05/2016 10:40

I'm wondering whether it might be worth botwatchblog's while to link in that to the botwatch DSA article?

Mrshumblepants · 09/05/2016 11:07

Hey there! Did you all have a nice weekend? I know my buddy and I did with our TV goodies! Just living the dream folks...

Thanks for the link Toobusytowee - a good read and reminded me to check the UK Direct Selling Association website.

Lifetreeworld is still not listed as a member.

I also made the mistake of looking at the LTW website with its gobbledegook mission statements & will now have to lie down in a quiet place.

I hadn't realised they charge for postage!!!!! And you have to pay to join!!!!!! And you're paying over the odds for items originally bought down the cash and carry!!!!!!!

Would I be naive to think that whilst the manufacturers/owners of the products listed by LTW probably can't dictate who can and can't sell their items they probably wouldn't be too impressed to be associated with this scheme?

cozietoesie · 09/05/2016 11:43

I actually doubt whether manufacturers or supermarket big guns would care too much, in real life, about ephemeral organisations who set up stall. They know what it takes to sell groceries.

People on this thread care about those who will be adversely affected though.

Twunk · 09/05/2016 12:12

How much is the postage?

Shipping charges are at the bottom of the website page, Twunk.

Twunk · 09/05/2016 12:32

Oh they were a long way down!

Free over 50 points which is about £80 by my reckoning, though I'm really not sure.

OP posts:
LeafTreeRaker · 09/05/2016 13:47

Isn't 100 points the cheapest hamper of £169? In which case your £80 is about right.

cozietoesie · 09/05/2016 14:01

Points seem to vary greatly according to the product.

Enough of the wampum, though. If anyone can explain to me how you can make money just by doing your shopping - just by doing that - I'd be greatly obliged. Smile

Toobusytowee · 09/05/2016 14:27

I've just re-written the LTW compensation plan. Apparently I got it wrong last time. I missed off some of the finer details. I made sure to put every little detail in and to make the scenario realistic. I think you would be impressed with it Cozie, it mentions 'wampum' a few times.

And check out the picture at the bottom made by someone on here.

Toobusytowee · 09/05/2016 14:29

Oh, and Cozie, you can't make money just by doing your shopping. If you just did your shopping, you would get 2% back but you are already spending way over 2% more than normal prices.

cozietoesie · 09/05/2016 14:39

Well now you've disappointed me, Toobusy. I had hoped for some help to clamber up this wall of disbelief I'm faced with. Wink

When an ex forever person sent me the info she said if you find 3 people who each find 1 so 6 people shopping you get £200 that then means you can do the shop for free????

Then through building more people and them shopping and achieving bonuses
You get
£750
£2000
£5000
£10,000
£25,000
Etc

Literally just shopping
Obviously new people though are the ones paying the money for the £165 shop but then once it's free you don't need to use your own money.... you just earn of getting others their bonuses

That's how it was portrayed to me

cozietoesie · 09/05/2016 15:16

...you just earn of (sic) getting others their bonuses...

Has she considered where the money actually comes from?
