Twunk, apparently he told the bot to "take his/her face for a s**t. Shock

prettyusefulsometimes · 09/05/2016 15:28

Sorry Twunk, I had to go and look at some lambs, dandelions, sheep poo etc. (I looked just like the stock photo woman on the LTW home page)

Under 25 (points) is £4.99. 25 to 49.99 (points) is 3.99. Over 50 (points) is free. This is at the bottom of the home page. First glance looks like it's money spent not points; and you can't know the point value unless you join (?) They seem to have spent a lot of time copy/pasting information about each product from the manufacturers websites instead of revealing prices. Weird.

People on this thread care about those who will be adversely affected though
Of course. It's the big corporations who could put restrictions on LTW and others and save potential recruits from the false expectation of future reward.

Twunk · 09/05/2016 15:53

Seenthelight and everyone - it looks so much like a ponzi scheme I don't know another way to describe it!

Twunk · 09/05/2016 15:54

Whilst a tiny bit amusing, it's not exactly satire is it Annie? Wink

LeafTreeRaker · 09/05/2016 15:57

I was just so excited to share it! Get Yazoo for free. FREE! FREEEEEEE!

Ponzi scheme? LTW? But that would mean that bots' bonuses are paid from the money the lower levels put in to the scheme.

Oh, wait. They are.

cozietoesie · 09/05/2016 16:00

Thanks for the update, Toobusy. Everyone should have a read - and re-read - of it, I think.

Nolongerconfused · 09/05/2016 16:06

Is Richie on here?

Toobusytowee · 09/05/2016 16:09

If he is, he hasn't made himself known Nolongerconfused.

LunaLoveg00d · 09/05/2016 16:16

Saw a post today from a FB friend that she has signed up with a company called Kyani. Never heard of them, but it appears to be a juice based supplements MLM.

Oh dear.

Worst thing is she's emigrated out of the UK so I can't even march round and give her a good talking to.

Toobusytowee · 09/05/2016 16:16

Seenthelight, your friend was right, you get paid £200 if you, the three people under you and one each under them all pay £165 in the same month. Then you get a crappy hamper full of stuff you don't need. And £200. So essentially, you earn £35 and get a box of crap.

What if one of the people drop out or don't spend that month? You will have spent £165 on a box of crap. That you've had to drive to the post office to collect because they tried to deliver while you were at work.

Twunk · 09/05/2016 16:20

Toobusy it's all new and shiny at the moment - the shit will hit the fan when people at the bottom of the pyramid start dropping out

Luna I did my Google Fu with Kyani. I would advise you do the same with "Kyani" and "multiple sclerosis"

Yes. It's MLM.

Twunk yep. My foof has been proper badgered.

bsintolerant it's meant to 'soothe' apparently. Ain't nothing soothing about it.

I have since replaced my loo roll with my usual brand. The itch is no more. Totally blaming it on the Aloe. Dread to think what would happen if I drank it. I have IBS 😱

stopfaffing · 09/05/2016 18:18

I noticed this quote from the link, Camel:-

"Harvard University recently did a study on what makes a good network marketing opportunity and what makes a once and a lifetime opportunity. Kyani is ranked as a once and a lifetime opportunity. "

I have asked (in the comments section at the bottom) for a link to this study. Not holding my breath...

I've actually sent an email message to Harvard Uni asking if the quote is correct, and to let me know the link to the study. Will let you know if I get a reply Grin.

RaeSkywalker · 09/05/2016 18:37

chesara I'm glad that your friend is stepping back. I think it's really brave of her- and you are lovely for supporting her Flowers

cozietoesie · 09/05/2016 18:38

Well done, chesara - and well done to your friend for realising what she was in. Smile

You should get her to read these threads - and if she feels, sometime, like posting, well she'll have a warm welcome waiting for her. People here have a lot of respect for those that manage to leave an MLM.

RaeSkywalker · 09/05/2016 18:38

Twat I have IBS too and am horrified by the number of claims I've seen surrounding the condition and drinking aloe...

TwatbadgingCuntfuckery · 09/05/2016 18:56

rae me too. The amount of sugar in the drink would screw up my insides on its own. I follow a FODMAP diet and wouldn't touch it.

chesarasara · 09/05/2016 18:59

Thank you but the thanks isn't mine to keep, its all down to you all adding your experiences on these threads and providing a way through the smoke and mirrors.

TwatbadgingCuntfuckery · 09/05/2016 19:01

Just in from 'Shit Suffolk'

Given it is a page and all posts are anonymous under the 'shit Suffolk' name I'm hoping this is allowed. After all no bots have been named and shamed in the making of this post Grin

A bots response to the picture.

"I have reported the picture and shall now be making an illegal health claim in retaliation of your lack of decency."

Delicious irony Grin
