What happens if people do not manage to make 4CC every month? How important is being 'active'? Are people supported when they can't do this, even part time?

You Only paid on your own orders

Like seethelight said if you aren't 4cc active you don't get paid your Team leading bonus and that is the main part of most people's bonus (def the main part of a managers bonus). Also I know I was told NOT to work with people who aren't 4cc active (even if they have just signed to retail as they obviously aren't serious about their business.
If you aren't 4cc and you have a team the bonus you would have got goes to the next active bot above you

So that's - at least partly - why people have whole shelves of gloop etc in their basement?

No it's really not easy to do 4cc. The products are expensive. People also are now so used to seeing the products cheaper on buy and sell pages / eBay so they expect all FBO's to sell at discounted rates. eBay is against company policy buy selling pages aren't.

Are people told about the 4cc when recruited or afterwards? I'd feel a bit duped if I signed up and then was hit with the reality I had to hit 4CC. I see a lot of literature that states their are 'no fees', 'no targets' and 'no pressure' but it clearly isn't true.

I have also seen weekly rolling training asking people to have 4cc in their first week of every month - I assume this is so their upline can work out their own earnings, but seems like a big ask.

Local buy and sell groups on FB....they are frown upon but not against Company policy

I was told that there are no penalties for not doing my 4cc (which I suppose there aren't) just that I wouldn't get paid a team leading bonus when I reached supervisor and above. I later found out if you aren't 4cc every month (or 12cc open business when you make manager) you aren't Eligible for incentives like global rally and eagle (the months you don't reach the target areNt counted) Plus say you recruited someone who flew up the marketing plan. If you aren't 4cc in the two months they make manager then you go "unrecognised" and a lot of people would worry about this. Oh and when you make manager you have to do 20cc outside of one leg....eg one leg can't push you to manager.
I didn't understand any of this when I started and it probably is overwhelming to you too. It certainly caused me many sleepless nights

May I ask - how does the 'frowned upon' manifest on the ground? Eg what action would uplines take if they found you were doing something that while not strictly a policy breach..............

Its meant to be completely baffling, it's deliberate. Hence the disappointed look on thingys face when she unrolled that cheque. She obviously couldn't figure it out. Maybe there's no rhyme or reason to it? Many mlms break the law, they do continually get shut down in the UK. Vemma I think is the most recent one, ask yourselves, how much different is this to other mlms, such as Ariix and Juice Plus?

So, if they break the law how much trust do you have in them to honestly figure out your cheque amount? Do the poster girls and boys deliberately get more? Who knows?
It's a bit of a rollercoaster being freelance (but I'm used to it now). But I've got an idea of what I'll be paid. And I have some control, unlike f.b.o. who are sales reps rather than truly independent businesses.
Who I work with, what day rate I charge and how/when I get paid are all my decisions. I write my own terms and conditions, not the other way round. And I would not accept a cheque in dollars, for instance, giant or otherwise. That would end up costing me money in bank charges. They can pay the bank charges. My USA clients pay me using Paypal in UK £ sterling. And I can't have my business terminated. It's 100% mine.

Frowned upon - I have seen some people get completely attacked on secret groups when they unknowingly post to say "I posted this on a Buy & sell" but I have to admit I posted in the early days as I seen my upline do it so I knew no different. So I'm SURE some people turn a blind eye to it!

I think a blind eye is often taken. I know a top bot who recruited someone and the recruit was ALWAYS posting non compliant posts on FB. No way the top bot didn't notice!

Frowned upon means public suicide by top bots. Not just one. Your picture and profile will be posted in ALL manager pages (there are 4 I was in) with a title of 'who's team is this please'

What annoyed me is it doesn't take a genius to figure out who's team and a simple private message wild have sufficed, instead they seem to weirdly enjoy the public humiliation of people.

Having to be 'nice' to people so much of the time probably takes it toll. Their lives don't have depth or balance, sadly.
