Does anyone know how much the blonde bot who rents her fairytale property was given? Interested to know how big her cheque was.

throwingpebbles · 26/04/2016 06:05

gotta if you go on the forever living Facebook page you can see the top 10....

But remember, in order to get that bonus, and in order to get next years bonus they will be spending a lot of it on:

  • overt trappings of "success" (shiney white 4x4, renta house, etc)
  • incentives for the team (spa days, bottles of champagne etc always being flaunted)
  • all those huge team parties she throws
  • possible "purchasing" of CCs...
  • that fancy pants website/ the photo shoots / etc etc
  • her "PA"
Twoodle · 26/04/2016 06:17

You forgot the childcare costs throwing gotta ditch those kids.

throwingpebbles · 26/04/2016 06:18

Just reading back over the thread and shocked by some of the revelations!
Confused Shock at you all chipping in for the top bots "prize giveaway" thing!

throwingpebbles · 26/04/2016 06:19

I was trying to just list the stuff that you wouldn't spend on if you worked in a normal business twoodle Wink

worriedaboutjob · 26/04/2016 06:25

Hi all,
Sorry I'm so late updating. I spoke to DP last night and he has refused to leave his job despite showing him all the articles you sent.
We are making almost no money and he is our of the house for 12hrs+ every day but none of it matters because "no other company will offer him these kinds of opportunities."
We have 2 young DC's and bills to pay so leaving him to it isn't an option!
I'm so worried about it all.

bearbehind · 26/04/2016 06:27

PMSL- just looked at the top 10 on FL FB page- my bot was 11 so has photoshopped themselves into that space at the bottom and removed the '10' from the title.

I though top 11 was a bit odd!

Twoodle · 26/04/2016 06:50

I must go googling to see if there is info on what the non top 10 got for their cheques, I bet it's a lot less than those that made the top 5.

Bear 😂

orangefizzypop75 · 26/04/2016 07:15

bear I noticed that too. Her FB page is sickening. All the "congrats, you really deserve it" posts are sickening and the fact that some of my friends are the ones doing it worries me. She is a devious, nasty piece of work and the biggest narcissist I have ever witnessed. Will do whatever it takes to get to where she needs to be - always has done. Not bad for someone who used to work in a shop selling jeans in her youth lol!! 😂😂

smiinky · 26/04/2016 07:19

just to reiterate if you've left your mlm opportunity and you haven't yet read this book (it's free to download) You'll realize it's not only you. it's about an Amway Emerald, who according to the ants legs (snd his bosses) was on a six figure sum. But the truth was - the Cadlillac was second hand and falling apart. The wifes furs and diamonds were bought from selling his rental houses (before Amway he had a small property portfolio) and the six figure income was more like $25,000 for over 100 hours of work per week.

archive.org/details/MerchantsOfDeception

Basically, if your upline wasn't already independently wealthy and living off that money, or selling the tools (tapes, books, planners, seminars etc), she too may be living a lie like the author of this book did.

Every week TV gets another message to say that another top upline is renting the property they claimed to have bought. With the proof. It's rife. So the training from SA says they have to stop faking it? I can't see them moving out of those big gaffs?

cozietoesie · 26/04/2016 07:21

I'm sorry the discussion didn't seem to be productive, worried. Might he still be thinking about the situation though?

Do you have any other source(s) of income?

smiinky · 26/04/2016 07:24

and the latest Timeless Vie links to a top mindset coaches blog and why she won't undertake mindset training for mlm. I think she explains it very clearly. it's not that mindset training is bad, it's when it's used to bully people and explain why they have (inevitably) failed within mlm.

worriedaboutjob · 26/04/2016 07:26

I've tried to talk to him again this morning but it's like he's lost all logical thought. He keeps saying we need to give it more time and that in 6 months he could be manager!

We are entitled to tax credits but not much else. Had to borrow money from FIL for rent last month and it's looking like we'll have to do the same again. Surely that alone should be enough to discourage him from the job?

smiinky · 26/04/2016 07:30

worriedaboutjob usually people leave mlms when they run out of money to prop it up, so it doesn't tend to last that long. When you get big problems is when someone is enabling it, or that there is an inheritance to raid or something like that.
Is he new to it? He may be in the first flush of enthusiasm. With most people they realise they'e not getting anywhere pretty quick (drop out rates are massive, most people don't get much further than the set-up pack or much further than that).
Try not to criticise the mlm, as you can see, when someones been conditioned like that it's like talking to a brick wall . Try to support and recognise and engage with the 'old him' (it's still there somewhere). Encourage and engage with the non mlm him, not the 'bot' personality. Talk about things other than the Mlm that he liked to do. what job did he have before? what did he like doing?

throwingpebbles · 26/04/2016 07:42

sorry to hear that worried you must feel a bit helpless. smiinky s advice is good though.
Would another option be to flag your concerns to your father in law. Just sending some of the information in those links might help?

(I watched a relative in forever living get propped up more and more by her parents, but didn't have the confidence to explain to them then what she was really involved in)

confusedbot · 26/04/2016 07:49

Had to go searching to find out who no. 11 was. Didn't take long! #blusheroverload #woweasyontheblush

cozietoesie · 26/04/2016 07:50

The advice above is good, worried. I'm conscious, though, that you have two young DCs to protect so I'm wondering whether you should actually start a separate thread - either here in Money Matters or eg in Relationships - just so that your very real issues don't become lost in this thread and to seek advice on what you could be doing to protect your financial position as best you can right away. (I say this because on that front at least, it doesn't sound as if you have the 'luxury' of time to sort things - eg the 'six months' that he mentioned.)

shirleyknotanotherbot · 26/04/2016 08:11

I notice top bot #10 is listed as a joint venture with her hubster. Odd, I was sure she was a "Female - One Woman Business of the Year" contender. Puzzled.

(I can't find the vid either)

seen, delurk, confused - I salute you.

shirleyknotanotherbot · 26/04/2016 08:22

And worried, I agree with the above. Whilst we are all sympathetic of your situation and would like to offer help and support, I feel you may need more immediate and personal help than we can provide.

Can you persuade hubby to write down everything he has spent and earned to date? then have a(nother) serious chat with him?

GreenGoblin0 · 26/04/2016 08:39

Have you noticed the no. 2 country is "scandanavia" Hmm

confusedbot · 26/04/2016 09:09

Haha Greengoblin I noticed. Number 1 is actually UK, Ireland and Iceland too. All the sales from all three countries together to make number 1

WhiffyBiffer · 26/04/2016 09:12

Hello bot-watchers, I'm after a bit of reassurance that I'm not going mad and am not a horrible cynical person!
I have a MLM bot in my midst, of the Herbashite variety. She's a school mum, I've bitten my tongue from saying anything to her directly about it. On the towns fb page there was a post about a free bootcamp, no catch etc. no mention of HL. I was curious so did some googling and it looked like it might be connected. I posted on their page just asking if it was. My comment got taken down twice. I got a long personal message the gist of which was that yes it is connected but products won't be promoted people can just ask more if they want, that their only motive is for the good of the community, no hidden agenda etc and isn't it sad there are people like me who can't accept people just doing things out of the kindness of their hearts etc. I recognised that there was no merit in continuing the dialogue so have managed not to reply. This person doing the bootcamp and I are mutually friends on fb with 'my' HL bot and I think since then the bot has been blanking me. She also put on her fb a thing about who you're hanging out with and how you should be friends with people that make you feel energised and positive and don't bring you down.

I'm right aren't, I? Why wouldn't the 'free' bootcamp person be more upfront about the HL link? Why would they take down my comment from their page if they've got nothing to hide? I hate being thought ill of and I am feeling really horrible that these 2 women, one of whom I have to see on an almost daily basis probably think I'm cynical, negative, jealous of their success etc.

Other mums at school find it annoying too but no one else seems to feel as strongly as me about how awful and harmful these mlms can be. Starting to doubt myself a bit.
