Confused and delurker - did either of you hear the term 'fake it till you make it'? A certain top bot you have both mentioned said she had never heard the phrase.

What kind of training and advice were common place from your upline?

Did the success days involve any real training?

Patzy85 · 25/04/2016 18:03

Sorry about the double post.

cozietoesie · 25/04/2016 18:05

I doubt they're actually thinking much any more, Bostin. (At least untrammelled thoughts.)

NorbertDentressangle · 25/04/2016 18:05

Great to hear from newcomers to the thread.

It's fascinating hearing what it's actually like within the organisation as opposed to what they want you to think it's like.

Have you all realised though that these poor bots with 19 hour working days now have a couple more hours added to it by having to keep an eye on these threads, tv etc Grin When do they sleep/see family?

Also, any pointers on where I can find the video please?

throwingpebbles · 25/04/2016 18:13

A note from a dear friend who is watching from the sidelines and who believes FL UK is about to fall apart...

"I also wanted to explain to the MN folk that 'MLM' hides some very serious criminal cultic activity and that certain 'MLM' shills have wound up dead in the USA.

The latest research from Bill Ackman's people seems to confirm our long-held view that 'Herbalife Nutrition Clubs' have been routinely used to peddle drugs and that 'Herbalife' has also been used to launder drug profits for Mexico and S. America gangsters.

That video is truly tragicomic."

Ouch.

Twoodle · 25/04/2016 18:24

Disappointed cheque bot is trying to claim they weren't disappointed but rather overwhelmed. I can totally see why she is trying to save face but the video evidence paints a very different picture. She looks gutted Shock

Delurker2016 · 25/04/2016 18:31

Yes fake it till you make is used.
We are selling a lifestyle in Facebook.
If you have a bad day, do not tell anyone. If you are feeling negative, do not post about it. Only happy. I know of people who take multiple pictures of a day with their child/ren and then use this one day over a period of weeks to make it appear they have lots of family time.
There is training at success days but it is normally just a PR stunt for the top bots, look at me, look at me on stage with my minions hanging on to my every word.

I believe a certain bot recently said he had broken the record for people asking to take selfies with him. He's a manager. They do believe their own hype, what they should realise is outside forever they are just like everyone else, well, I say that loosely.
The training is basically exactly what is said every week on rolling training, but then you couldn't charge people £50 if you told them that.

confusedbot · 25/04/2016 18:39

Twoodle did you see how her nickname was mentioned on her page? Someone said "Wait wait wait a minute..... Do you mean to tell me the cheque wasn't written out to "Insert nickname" ??? Most disappointed X

worriedaboutjob · 25/04/2016 18:40

Hi,
Sorry to just jump into this thread but I have some concerns.
My partner has been working at a new company for a couple of months. It seems to have all the hallmarks of your usual MLM but is in an actual office so to speak. He is essentially trying to sign people up to charity on the street. Job is commission based and long hours.

A quick bit of googling makes me think it's dodgy. He's just so sucked in by it all and I feel so so uneasy about it.

I don't want to mention his specific company's name but it is under the larger umbrella company of Credico. Has anyone heard of it? Any advice on how to broach the subject when he gets in?

confusedbot · 25/04/2016 18:45

Yes I have been told to "fake it til I make it" but recently they are trying to come away from that term. I'll show you an example....

stopfaffing · 25/04/2016 18:45

worried have a look at this. Not good news.

cozietoesie · 25/04/2016 18:48

Is he classed as an 'independent contractor', worried?

Twoodle · 25/04/2016 18:50

Yes I did confused and how one of her friends tries to be positive by saying that the size of the cheque doesn't matter Grin

confusedbot · 25/04/2016 18:50

This was posted today on team pages. They have had to back pedal on the term fake it til you make it....

The video is really sad

Twunk · 25/04/2016 18:54

Worried yes sounds like you should be worried. I would do a bit more research but by the sounds of it steer well clear! Does #teamyouknowwho have anything to say about it? Seems up his street.

Twunk · 25/04/2016 18:55

There's a bit of (simian) spin going on about that cheque and none of it is terribly believable. If it was me I would be gutted.

Patzy85 · 25/04/2016 18:57

"I know of people who take multiple pictures of a day with their child/ren and then use this one day over a period of weeks to make it appear they have lots of family time."

This is just so terribly sad. Sad

worriedaboutjob · 25/04/2016 18:57

Have never heard him use "independent contractor" but definitely self employed.
He has reiterated the open your own office and retire young thing many many times.

I'm not allowed to mention anything negative about finances/working long hours as it "ruins his mentality" for the next day.

Shit.

stopfaffing · 25/04/2016 19:00

Her body language speaks volumes. She was devastated (or overwhelmed with disappointment). It is all there in painful clarity.

cozietoesie · 25/04/2016 19:01

I'm sorry.

Could you open the page that stopfaffing linked to and see how he reacted to it?

worriedaboutjob · 25/04/2016 19:01

Twunk not entirely sure what #teamyouknowwho is! Sorry Blush

cozietoesie · 25/04/2016 19:03

Don't concern yourself, worried.
