People on this and similar threads have huge respect for people who manage to leave MLMs because we have some idea of the courage and steadfastness required to do it. There's really no need for 'appreciation'.

I second that cozie It doesnt require any appreciation ;-) we are normal people, that hate seeing other previously normal people getting conned into mlm scams and losing so much (not just quantifiable in pounds), It is very brave of you to get out, and we more than 'appreciate' you all sharing your stories x It all goes towards supporting others to do the same x

And hopefully preventing others from being sucked in xx

Oh - and would it have to be a relative? What about a partner or formerly close friend, for example?

Just spotted a really 'interesting' post on the Colitis UK page from Tuesday:

All this information and wise debate from the last 10 or more pages and the only thing I can contribute is a clarification on time zones. South Africa is currently one hour ahead of the UK. So say you were up at 7 or 8 am in South Africa to participate in charitable work, other less conspicuously charitable types in the UK (with children/dogs/jobs) probably wouldn't still be in bed

My upline are actually very nice people who have been doing forever a very long time
I really like them

I told them I was stopping and they said okay but I would regret it.
Since stopping I have actually felt a sense of relief and freedom. No more Sunday night training when I should be with my family no more trying to sell products no more feeling pressured to attend Business presentations and success days!!! Or speak at these events

Pretty useful. I also found that funny at the time implying I would still be in bed considering there is only an hour time difference. It makes me believe that fanboy/girl thinks I am someone else.
They seemed to jump on me the minute I mentioned the we do things for charity but we don't tell you about it but telling you about it now post just so we can prove we do it but normally don't do it.
I especially love that the person in question had been told to pose, knowing what she is like I shouldn't imagine much telling would have been needed. My favourite bit though, please don't share it in public because she will get stick.

We got told today it's now against company policy to do more than one MLM. In the past it was frown upon but now it's flat out against policy.
Need to ensure time is spent solely on FLP business and not on any other.

So 0.00944% for Forever business owners worldwide received chairmans bonus cheques. If I'd known these type of statistics before I joined I would have stepped away.

I felt relief when I finally did. Shame I walked away with debt on my credit card trying to make it work. I do still like some of the products though. Just dislike the marketing plan and all it brings with it.
