I think what notafan doesn't realise is that most normal human beings who do a great deal of charity work do not feel the need to take selfies/pose for staged photos/tell the world in a gushing Facebook post because -

a) they're not that crass and self obsessed.
b) they don't need nor want the publicity because it was a selfless act.
c) we weren't TOLD to do it to make the company we work for look like it's giving more back that it is taking.

What on earth are you on about, that is slightly different to simply donating a large sum of money to your chosen charity.

When taking part in charitable activities you may ask for donations from family and friends/share the link on your FB page etc but that is worlds apart from what bots are doing when they're posing for photos and saying how "charitable" they are. They aren't asking for donations, it's one big PR stunt. If you can't see the difference then it speaks volumes about your morals and attitude.
