A brief history of the threads so far-

A few people were bemused at their friends' strange personality changes when they joined MLMs.
Eyespying told us they were tragicomic, thought stopping cultic racketeers.
We told him to go away, he was clearly obsessed, and can he go to his own serious thread?
We delved a bit deeper into the issues.
Eyes started creeping back. We told him he was too serious.
We became more horrified at the information being turned up and were sharing links.
Eyes told us aboutMerchants of Deception.
Timeless Vie was set up as a parody about MLMs.[[www.facebook.com/timelessvie
Facebook,]] Twitter, blog, Instagram and YouTube were all used.
People started coming forward, telling of their experiences in MLMs.
We became more horrified.
Bot Watch started on Facebook where links were put up of interest to do with MLMs.
Botwatchblog started and produced factual analysis of the discussions from MN.
MLM members (bots) waded in saying it was all ok. You can earn great money. You just have to work 19 hours a day and not worry about morals.
Bots complained about their names being used. Their lawyers complained to MNHQ so that MN now do not allow us to use bots' names or show screengrabs of their writings even if it is in the public domain.
Blogs and FB posts increased, with the increasing amount of facts and whistleblowers coming forward.
FL lawyer tried to get TV YouTube video banned.
Bots claimed we were bullying them because we were asking them questions they couldn't answer. we were called middle aged women and accused of being drug dealers.
It got a bit nasty so we ate some cheese for a bit and they went away.
Health claims from FL bots now reducing dramatically as a result of pestering from all of us.
We stopped telling Eyes he was too serious. We all started thinking in his language and realised he was right.
Eyes turned out to be very funny and entertained us all.
Sunday Times article produced exposing FL. With a little help from people here.
Lawyers still persisting in trying to ban TV's videos.

The thing is that Eyes is perfectly prepared to defend anything he says. If someone wants to throw legal threats his way then he is ready with facts to defend himself, he's not even anonymous so there's no need for the MLM's to go running to MN.

I was wondering how long it would be until a spanner was thrown into this thread, it was a bit too informative wasn't it, too calm and interesting.

We will still Post here our examples of fake claims, as they're shocking. Ex bots will still come here looking for information

The bot who continues to troll these threads was identified ages ago and is making a complete idiot of herself here. Best not to feed the troll, or the thread gets derailed

Chucking - I was accused (or my username) of attacking Melaw21 - which I believe I did not btw, why you are surprised that I am back does mystify though as I did state previously that I would be watching (or lurking as is the term used) - my contribution has always been to offer a balance to very often a onesided lambasting of an industry to which I am part of. I have stated before not all MLM people are exactly saints, and there are a lot that try to re-invent the wheel, don't follow their company rules of engagement or plan - you are always going to have Mavericks who think they know better. Many have tried to offer an opinion only to be slated on here as a fraud, or fake, and vilified as you say you may not defend their behaviour - but you do know it went on - and I did not see too many jump up to protect them and put a stop to it.

Toobusytowee · 01/04/2016 19:52

I googled the definition of 'public figure' and found it had a legal definition as well as the standard one. Perhaps bots are refering to this definition?

I ask again - Dollytwat - is your post in reference to me?
If so - You quite clearly state "The bot who continues to troll these threads was identified ages ago and is making a complete idiot of herself here"

How am identified?
What information do you hold about me?
Who is this information shared with?
Now you see why this become subversive?
This thread and user names are anonymous I was led to believe.

workingwithchimps · 01/04/2016 19:59

That right there Cubic - was an own goal!

DollyTwat · 01/04/2016 20:11

Ignore the troll guys

Let's get the thread back on track
I'm sure we can get Eyes back

workingwithchimps · 01/04/2016 20:13

Sorry DollyTwat - are you going to answer my question (for fear of not looking stupid) or not?
Shall I repost the question for you?

worcestersauce29 · 01/04/2016 20:14

Is anyone familiar with the mantra what other's think of you is none of your business ?

Essentially it's about being happy with you and your own actions/thoughts and deeds.

If you are happy and comfy with you and your actions why would what others say or think be worthy of comment let alone concern?

If you are not fundamentally happy nor comfy however …………….. think on

DollyTwat · 01/04/2016 20:16

The legal threats are standard stuff by big companies to scare people away, especially MLM's. These threads and the Facebook posts are having a big impact. They don't like it.

So, as long as we are careful when we post we have done nothing wrong. Let's not be bullied into stopping these threads.

Because that's what it is, bullying
Eyes may have been bullied off here for now but we don't have to be

workingwithchimps · 01/04/2016 20:23

Sorry DollyTwat - you seem to think you can brush this off? This is exactly why this thread is in trouble - when you make wild statements like that and accusations that many others have made against a number of people - to use your words bullying cannot be accepted or tolerated. I asked you point blank to explain your statement and you continue to side sweep your way out .... how did you identify me? what information do you hold about me? - I understand why other people get paranoid, when you publicly post and lambast them here, but yet you say you are helping people? - Helping who exactly - when stalking is involved?

chuckingstones · 01/04/2016 20:26

One would suggest that a thread where the industry is "lambasted" is not the place for someone to come and try to defend their industry. I would expect a man to receive a similar response on a thread utterly designed to provide take downs on men. If there was defending of the industry to be done I would expect it to be done at the highest levels. If FL/Younique/ITWorks/etc were genuinely upset about what was being said here I'd expect them to be all over it. The thing is I suspect they're much more worried about the behaviour of their distributors and about the untruths that TV and Bot Watch are uncovering.

Downlines are being unravelled and I can understand the fear in some of the upline bots, they have the potential to lose their income stream that they've been relying upon. But we're interfering because of the ways people are recruited, because many of these people cannot afford to come into an MLM, but are blinded by the minute possibility of earning lots of money (the probabilities, I expect, aren't what recruiters lead with).

BSintolerant · 01/04/2016 20:31

Which genius seems to think we're not allowed to discuss company information?

The whole point of Companies House is that registered companies, their accounts, directors' names, annual returns and reports are freely available to the public.

If the bots don't like it, they shouldn't register with companies house. Instead, they should carry on their alleged businesses as sole traders with all the personal liabilities which come with that territory.

It's that simple.

mmmkayyyy · 01/04/2016 20:32

Wow this thread just went really dark! Glad to be on the light side #teameyes

stopfaffing · 01/04/2016 20:34

Quote from chimps 18:49 "...MN has a business to protect - simple, they don't need the legal headaches that a few have stirred up and havoc some are trying to wreck against an industry that totals millions of participants and companies that have "deep" pockets willing to protect their interests as well. No own goal - just simple economics..."

When I read that comment, it reminded me of this youtube video eyes posted recently which showed me the enormity of what we are up against.

It features cult expert Steve Hassan of the Freedom of Mind Center who leads a wide ranging discussion on multi-level marketing with MLM expert Robert L. FitzPatrick author of False Profits and creator of Pyramid Scheme Alert, and also Attorney Douglas M. Brooks, expert on franchising, MLMs and business opportunity solicitations.

It is 35 minutes long but please do bear with it because it will give you an insight into the lengths that people with a vested interest in MLM continuing in its current form will go to to protect themselves and allow them to continue to fleece and exploit the population.

Chimps has pointed out what I already realised after watching that video, these companies will not allow anyone or any group to be successful in causing a change in the law which will hinder their ability to exploit the masses. They just won't.

This is why eye has been banned. He is making a difference. He must be stopped. It is nothing new to him as he has been doggedly campaigning for protection for people from MLM for many years now.

workingwithchimps · 01/04/2016 20:36

Chucking - you may be correct there ordinarily, but here it's much different as you know. People has been identified here by name, by where they lived, their company accounts have been mercilessly paraded, their mind set and income disbelieved and work shunned. If these actions are supposed to represent people who are supposed to be uncovering an industry that preys on people - then you have gone about it very wrong indeed. DollyTwat by her own admission has hinted the way you have tried to get any morsel of information to use to discredit anyone in the industry - and now when challenged - a mass of tumbleweed appears on the horizon. This is how you treat another human - because you don't like how they earn their money and feed their kids? Really??

DollyTwat · 01/04/2016 20:37

I don't engage with trolls

Patzy85 · 01/04/2016 20:37

If any bots care to read their own company policy they will note that the issues that are highlighted on the threads are also highlighted there.

The things we don't like, they don't like either and they can "terminate" you for being in breach of contract.

Forever Living have made it very clear in the guidelines what is and is not acceptable - including misinterpretation of the opportunity, false medical claims, misleading information regarding earnings etc.

It may be worth taking that in to consideration, as legally they will not defend you. If anything, they should be taking action against the bots who are continuing to lie and deceive so openly as they're the ones giving them a bad name.

workingwithchimps · 01/04/2016 20:40

No DollyTwat - you don't engage with trolls who call you out for what you are.
I will use the term bully - as you know so much about me I can assume that you will be able to post on my FB status shortly about it.... no - you won't engage at all now will you...when you made that horrendous cock-up!

DollyTwat · 01/04/2016 20:43

The screenshots I posted up thread of a bots health claim are a case in point. She said she was allowed to post them until I sent her her own guidelines. She then changed her Facebook settings o hide them!

workingwithchimps · 01/04/2016 20:46

Sorry DollyTwat - come again? Is it the size of the elephant, or is it the size of the room that appears to be the problem?

DollyTwat · 01/04/2016 20:46

Chimps you were identified as a troll a long time ago. I choose to ignore you and I think you should be banned for being a goady fucker. You make a fool of yourself repeatedly on these threads because you think anyone cares who you are
Yes I identified you, as a troll, and you answer to it

throwingpebbles · 01/04/2016 20:50

Great read here a lazy man and money blog - US clamping down big time on MLMs

BSintolerant · 01/04/2016 20:51

There's nothing quite like a piece of cheese
to nibble upon for pleasure and ease.
No matter the time or state of mind
greater joy than cheese you'll never find.
Served on a cracker or a soft piece of bread
a morceau de fromage will please your head.
Roquefort, camembert, brie or blue
served with fruit or in fondue
God gave us cheese- a bit of heaven on earth
to lift our burdens, providing sweet mirth.
And after all our daily work is done
we enjoy simple cheese just for fun.
But remember the ancient custom of the house
leave behind a kernel for the nocturnal mouse

Very poor D'Twat - very poor, you must come round for cheese on toast next time you are in the area. You'll no doubt have my address - mine's the barn on the left, the one with the white car in front on the drive (obvs joking)
