The mlm resistance is rattling cages - well done!

And for those ageist bots who accuse us of being middle aged keyboard warriors, just remember:

The keyboard is mightier than the sword ... and Forever Living don't like it up 'em! Wink

Good luck with FL and YouTube Last. Hopefully YouTube will side with you.

Toobusytowee · 26/03/2016 02:59

In response to some posts on here, Bot Watch Blog has produced a post that you can share with friends/family that have just joined an MLM, or are thinking about it. It is a non-threatening fact sheet that lays out why MLMs are bad. I purposely left out the cult element.

Here it is - botwatchblog.wordpress.com/2016/03/26/people-who-care-about-you-are-worried/

daytoday i downloaded Merchants on to my laptop then emailed it to my kindle. It reads as a book just fine. I have a kindle email address that I send it to which is identical to the one I use normally, except it has @kindle.com at the end instead of @Yahoo.com. Does that make sense?

Really fantabulous leaflet!

Sets the right tone I think

cozietoesie · 26/03/2016 09:19

I think that that's very good and very useful, Toobusy.

I'll be keeping it front and forward and I hope that at least some people who eg might be on the brink of joining up will read it and derive use from it.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Well done all at Bot Watch Blog. Smile

cozietoesie · 26/03/2016 09:28

Your approach has to be there, Eye. As do various others, I suspect. This is a very wide group and Goodness knows that we don't need to be a monolith of views.

Testing thought is one thing that we're allowed to do. Smile

Great leaflet Toobusytowee.

Yesterday, I talked to a woman journalist. Lately, her FB feed has been infested with 'MLM' recruiters.

I usually start off with a standard explanation of the fraud, but if the person I'm speaking to introduces the word cult themselves, I then will give a fuller, and more frank, explanation.

This is more or less what happened yesterday with the journalist. She's now fascinated to find out more, and she will most probably try to help us.

Your leaflet will be perfect to send to the journalist.

cozietoesie · 26/03/2016 09:31

In fact, Toobusy, it might be good if you could regularly repeat that link so that people who have just joined the thread can go to it directly? Smile

Eyespying · 26/03/2016 09:34

cozietoesie So true, and this is the great strength of these threads. My very direct approach has been well and truly put to the test by MN members, and in certain areas it was found to be wanting. I love the variety of common-sense approaches which are now being taken by the participants in these threads.

NorbertDentressangle · 26/03/2016 09:40

Excellent work toobusy!

Twunk · 26/03/2016 09:47

Sounds very promising Eyes

cozietoesie · 26/03/2016 10:22

I've just re-read that material, Toobusy. Really good. Smile

I think people on this thread would be interested to know if anyone reacts to a link - or a printed version - being sent out by anyone posting or reading - including reading the Bot Watch Blog.

stopfaffing · 26/03/2016 10:42

A new and very valuable tool we can give to anyone who has a friend or relative enmeshed in an MLM. Thank you for creating toobusy Smile.

And here's that link again for anyone just joining the thread this morning.

People who care about you are worried

Smile
Toobusytowee · 26/03/2016 11:35

I'm glad people like the blog post. I think we needed all those facts in one place and easy to read. Hopefully people who are sent the link will read it and some will come here afterwards. It would be lovely to know that it has helped someone.

cozietoesie · 26/03/2016 11:38

I'm certain that it will, Toobusy, even if no-one comes forward directly in response to it.

ambler21 · 26/03/2016 11:43

Lovely stuff Toobusy
That's gonna help me with a mini project. Someone local to me letter dropped the area with a 'Dear Neighbour' letter asking if anyone was struggling financially and offering free business advice from a Global Business Mentor. You guessed it, FL. The letter directly targeted single Moms and those currently struggling with work life balance. I've organised my own MLM info pack to do my own letter drop. That info sheet will take pride of place within.

Last keep on truckin! Eyes Sounds interesting about the journal. Still trying to digest the info you linked about Dominionism, scary stuff.

ambler21 · 26/03/2016 11:45

journalist

cozietoesie · 26/03/2016 11:50

Positive local action eh, ambler? Smile

throwingpebbles · 26/03/2016 11:50

ambler that sounds brill! Any chance it could be something shared so that others could do the same?

throwingpebbles · 26/03/2016 11:51

toobusy your blog post is really excellent Smile

cozietoesie · 26/03/2016 12:04

I'm thinking that Timeless Vie could maybe do a piece incorporating that Blogwatch post? I know that TV are already working their socks off but a direct reference might serve to reinforce both sites.

It's certainly a good title for a piece if Blogwatch are happy to share. Smile

throwingpebbles · 26/03/2016 12:05

Good plan cozie - will suggest it if bot watch happy?
