Natasha - I'm not a prolific poster on these threads but I have been reading them all and have a burning question.....

When you recruit and have meetings with your new team members/online training/whatever, what do you actually tell them about how they should portray the laptop lifestyle, the "my life is just so great" social media posts?

Are they told to fake it? Are they told to word things ambiguously so that it's implied they are, for example, considering private school for their children/about to book an amazing family holiday?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 17/03/2016 21:16

So am I.... Although it would prove the point that I've always been exactly the same! 😂😂😂🙈

DollyTwat · 17/03/2016 21:22

I really respect you for coming back Natasha, your mate did make you look very silly by not being honest with you and there was no point as Boone here had even mentioned her. You should stick around MN we are a nice bunch and by the sounds of things you don't like the lies anymore than we do.

Do you have a view on selling FL to third world countries where you know they won't be able to sell the products? I'd be surprised if you could defend it, but would like to hear your views. You do seem to be one of us deep down, you do see what we see

Oh bollocks I missed the video too.

BUT the TV video is utterly brilliant. Keep up the good work. And keep spreading that video around the net.

Patzy85 · 17/03/2016 21:23

Natasha - be honest, do you roll your eyes when you see the top bots post stuff?

You seem very normal (that is not meant to sound offensive, YKWIM) so when you seen some of them being a bit botty and braggy do you not just think 'oh do shut up!!' Grin

cozietoesie · 17/03/2016 21:24

And for those readers who might like a reference, here's the Timeless Vie link. Some of the posts from ex MLMers might prove particularly interesting to you.

🙂

kamchatka23 · 17/03/2016 21:27

If you're truly unhappy with the making medical claims side of it, Natasha, you should probably steer clear of making claims about aloe vera having an effect on the immune system - there isn't any legitimate medical proof of that. How would you propose to sell it without those claims though? I can't see the point in an overpriced drink that tastes like rancid snail slime myself!

Honestly??
I tell them to be themselves! Not try to be someone else!
And there's a good reason... I was told to be professional and behave professionally and do it properly (absolutely fair point if you want to be taken seriously) so I did.
I stopped having sarcastic rants, stopped being so open about my opinions and what happened??
I got messages from people saying "who's hacked your Facebook?"
I made a choice to show ME!
I didn't come from a corporate background and I didn't want to be a "corporate" personality it didn't suit me. So I went back to the odd sarcastic rant I just made them with less swear words! I am proud to be a part of forever and I'm known for that so I do try to represent professional behaviour when I have to but I am still very much about showing people me. Letting people in on personal stories and allowing people to watch the story of what the last 2 years has been I think has contributed to the team feeling they have an honest view of what to expect. Hence even telling them about this thread!
So I advise they do the same as me... Be professional of course but be yourself! Show your personality don't try to be someone else. I would tell them to show what the business gives them personally... That may be confidence, social life, excitement whatever it may be. But to show what it is they enjoy about it.
The barn rental for me wasn't about being in a big dream home and showing off... It was a huge need to put my children in a home with space and a big "sorry" for letting them down!! I wanted them to live somewhere they wanted to bring friends to, I had been sleeping in my living room for 4 years and my children sharing a room smaller than most bathrooms so I could squeeze my mum in to look after her. There was a whole long story behind that post that was obvious to those that knew my history, on reflection of course it looked to you guys like just another "look what I've got" post.
May be I show too much of me if anything! After all....
You attract what you are.... Probably why most of my team are gobby sarcastic little so and so's! 😂

DollyTwat · 17/03/2016 21:40

We have made such a difference on these threads guys. The bots on my FB don't Put the outrageous claims anymore, which is good. It's a shame we know that the claims are still being made in private, perhaps Natasha is in a position to try to stop this too.
I think we've cleared up the confusion with notabot and whether they were in FL or not.
No lists exists, except for the one I'm obviously on as I'm blocked from lots of bots FB pages and I've never even heard of them! I'm a big girl, I don't care!

You wouldn't want to look too closely into what some MLMs are saying in the 'less developed markets' then, Dolly. Remember they're not regulated - or only by morals and ethics which seem to be of little import in eg Tanzania? Fascinating material out there.

DollyTwat · 17/03/2016 21:48

I'm glad you've stuck around Natasha, you are very straight forward and that's really appreciated on these threads. You know we'd like to save you from MLM doom, but we do respect your considered choice to make your living that way. You know we would support you if you left and needed our support.
As you ARE the only FL person who comes here to chat, we do treat you as though it's a live web chat, and you are to us the face of FL. So, what are your thoughts on FL being sold in Uganda and places like that ? Does that sit well with you?

OP posts:
BSintolerant · 17/03/2016 21:48

orchidnap The video which has been made private was a private video: hardcore Forever Porn. Burnt my retina, so it did! 😎😉

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 17/03/2016 21:49

In response to my thoughts on Uganda, I'm gonna be honest I'm not going to give an opinion on here. Not because I agree or disagree I just really don't want to discuss anything that I don't know enough about!
If anything yesterday's drama has made me at least think before commenting on subjects I don't know the ins and outs of!

Do I roll my eyes at some posts?? Oh of course!
But I'm sure some roll their eyes at me too! We are a huge range of different personalities even with our "bot" brains on so what some see as great posts some see as cringe. What some see as inspirational some see as cringe!
What annoys me more is some of these posts only make it look less genuine! I have always been open (go back to oct last year before I knew about MN) I stated on business page posts that I sacrificed time etc very public post! However I wanted to do it fairly quickly. It would still be achievable part time though and flexibly IF you time managed well and gave it a longer time frame. I wasn't a good time manager! And I'm very much all or nothing! I am certainly not patient 🙈 So I was just jump in and get it wrong which I think many on social media are! It's also laziness or the lack of communication that many cant have a conversation with a stranger in the street so hide behind Facebook expecting that will work! It doesn't! It's old fashioned conversation .... And that's probably where most struggle truth be known.

NorbertDentressangle · 17/03/2016 21:53

Natasha - I tell them to be themselves! Not try to be someone else!

I think you might be in the minority there.

I seem to live in an area flooded with FL bots and the majority post the endless the "my life is so great" posts . FFS how can sitting in your car at a motorway services be given such spin to be a positive, life-enriching experience??

They are your average person until recruited and then it all starts with the vomtastic posts which is why I'm intrigued to know what they're told.

cozietoesie · 17/03/2016 21:53

I'm sure you'll agree, Dolly, that it would be difficult to conceive of a 'straightforward' person who would not be able to give an opinion on the ethics of trading under an MLM banner? In Uganda and Tanzania for example?

Lovewineandchocs · 17/03/2016 21:54

Hey happy St Patrick's Day all! Smile recruitment ads like this one really annoy me as they are so misleading.
natasha
Hi again! Do you cringe when you see FBOs put up ads like this one?

Bovnydazzlers · 17/03/2016 21:57

I couldn't work for a company which causes poverty. What does it mean in Uganda? That the people who have lost money will have got hungry, their children would have missed out on education, they haven't been able to afford vital medicines. Lives destroyed. Of course you can't voice your opinion on it natasha, because it is indefensible.

cozietoesie · 17/03/2016 21:57

Is it true that they dye some rivers green in the States today? Grin

Twunk · 17/03/2016 22:00

The GDP per capita (based on Purchasing power parity) is $1752.

U.K. is over $39000

What else do you need to know Natasha?

Twunk · 17/03/2016 22:00

In Uganda - whoops

Lovewineandchocs · 17/03/2016 22:01

It depends which services your talking about!
Watford gap not so great but south Mimms is always a completely positive experience!

Jokes aside I don't think it's any more sinister than people getting over excited, it is an opportunity that OK may not be perfect but is a far better option for some. It is also achievable (and I know there's debate on this) to earn good income on part time hours. You can be flexible with it. But I think people see and hear big incomes and rather than understand exactly how that's done and what it takes they think a few posts on Facebook will do it. Newbies will maybe get coached by newbies and it leads to "quote meme" carnage!
I don't believe there's honestly that many that are maliciously deceitful at all and that may come as a shock but it's what I truly believe....
I do think there needs to be some changes and I do think there maybe needs to be compulsory company training rather than voluntary. I have seen a few videos on here and just shaken my head because I know I've never been told I must buy products to a certain value every month.... Although even if I was I still have a choice to do it or not! I can see that many of the public videos don't do us any favours at all but what I've seen in those videos I haven't personally seen from my upline or coached.
