NatashaBarnBotShingles · 17/03/2016 20:35

cubic no it was actually TWO actual holidays! ONE of which was FWEEEEE!! 👌🏻

sparkleyes · 17/03/2016 20:35

Hi Natasha

You seem like a funny lady, great response btw! I understand your friend not wanting to be associated with chimps (who would) but a bit of a shame she landed you in it!

You have to admit some aspects of the "business" are fascinating there is so much showing off on public social media, getting up on stage to be applauded it's very unlike real life so you can see why some of us are so fascinated...

Thank you cheeky I'm always too late!

Motorheadmum · 17/03/2016 20:45

Hi Natasha fair play on you for coming back. Can I ask who the friend is who seems to want to make you look silly? Am I being really stupid or did you both work in forever?

jojes aside I've always said from the start I do get it, I get the monotonous posts, the quote meme, the hashtags, the laptops.... I've said before I cringe at my first few weeks on Facebook! Many are just over excited and even a bit cocky (me included!) thinking everybody in a job was mental and I couldn't see why anyone would not want to do this!! Complete inexperience and stupidity with a bit of arrogance thrown in! I'm not sitting here thinking I have no idea why this thread exists! I get it!

My point has really been to answer a few questions to give accurate information on things that had been posted that I knew to be wrong with regards to company policy etc. And to put a few points across about things that were stated about me personally,
I agree with you all about medical claims as do many other "bots".

When you consider there could be 1 million FL distributors getting it horribly wrong.... But that still means there could be 8 million getting it right, doing it properly.
Facebook unfortunately just makes it look far worse than it actually is.
I would have the same opinion if I didn't have first hand experience, guidance from a truly great sponsor & results that speak for themselves.
😊

cozietoesie · 17/03/2016 20:48

Does anybody have the link to the campaign in.....Uganda was it?

inthewildwildwood · 17/03/2016 20:50

Ah bless NatashaBarnbotShingle just wants to be part of the Mumsnet team.

sparkleyes · 17/03/2016 20:53

It just seems that the top people in any MLM have their success at the expense of the majority in the scheme.

The traditional argument is that MLM is better than working for a normal company where the CEO gets all the money but it's a bit of a false argument as everyone is paid relevant to the job they do in a traditional company structure yet many people will join a MLM scheme lured by the promise of "laptop lifestyle" and "multiple six figure income". The whole purpose of the giant cheques, global rallies and lavish lifestyles are designed to recruit more and more people into the scheme. Whe in reality less than 1% of people in the scheme can achieve it.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 17/03/2016 20:53

motorheadmum
She didn't do it purposely to make me look silly, she just got angry that she was mentioned (she genuinely no longer does MLM) and she just didn't think it thru! No malice, she's actually a very kind lady and would never have done that on purpose!

Hence why I will laugh it off after I've finished telling her what a total twat she is! 😂
I don't know whether to laugh or cry right now! Not the best thing to happen is it when you are arguing your case about being honest! 🙈
She was in forever though yes but never took notes at training, never actively looked like she team built. She loved products and helped her daughter by retailing and getting a great discount on what she used. She was always more in it for the social aspect as was I suppose a good outlet for a giggle after a long hard week in the corporate rat race. She still socialises at forever events but as a non MLMer 🙈😂

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 17/03/2016 20:55

inthewild

I actually do! You're all starting to grow on me! 😂😂😂

cozietoesie · 17/03/2016 20:56

Thank you, orchid.

I'm guessing that Uganda is not the only 'less developed market' where the MLMs are moving in in force?

orchidnap · 17/03/2016 20:58

BSintolerant the video is private... what was it?

Motorheadmum · 17/03/2016 20:59

natasha glad you can see it that way, friends are important! Just maybe you could have done without it at the moment!

Patzy85 · 17/03/2016 21:01

Natasha - I guess there will be people doing it right, but I think the ratio probably works more like 1 million getting it right and 8 million getting it wrong. I'm just saying that because of the proven low retention rates.

I have to say through I've only just recently seen your Facebook and you are not really that bottish. You must realise that most however have (at least online) no sense of humour.

The peachy 'aloe is my saviour' crap wears thin, especially when you have more than a few.

It's the like IT works ONE WRAP posts where somebody has lost 12 stone in the space of 1 hour. It just makes people Hmm

The scripts are AWFUL and disingenuous. We have seen some terrible training videos about prospecting (top bots too) that were shocking.

I think most people feel this way about MLM after having been prospected and I think that coupled with the same ol, same ol look 'I'm on a laptop in the garden and you're at work, you loser' posts are what caused these threads to start in the first place.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, I don't know enough of the ins and outs nor have I spent time digging deep. I'm just happily going about my business and to be honest I'm not really that interested in what all the "big bots" are doing or any others to be fair! As long as my team are ok and happy it's really all that matters. I do have huge respect for those earning big money because is it hard work.... Not carrying bricks up a ladder hard but still hard. They do work hard contrary to popular belief and they have earned their income. I have seen and watched my own sponsor do it part time around a corporate job, put time into supporting team properly, do it honestly and she has built an incredible team and income and one with great spirit. That's how it should be done!
What you are .... you duplicate!

sparkleyes · 17/03/2016 21:03

I actually agree that no one on this thread should try to second guess who the posters are or "out" them from behind their username. The benefit of this forum is that we can be anonymous unless we choose not to such as Natasha or David Brears (eyes).

It was unfortunate then that the chimps poster started making reference to knowing who melaw was and various inferences as to who s/he was and gates being in paths, bitcoins and the like which made us all go 🤔

It is human nature I guess that people will then question who this person is.

This thread has moved on from the first threads and we've all learnt that even though people post stuff on the Internet for all to see when others make comment on that or share it it all becomes a little close to home.

As I'm sure we are all teaching our children we need to be careful what we put out there as once it's on the web it can be saved copied and used for something other than its original intent. It's like those posts on Facebook about sharing something to see how far it goes.

I'm so glad the Internet wasn't around when I was a teenager and my teenage mistakes and musings are all safely in my diary rather than the www.

Peace and love all

Bovnydazzlers · 17/03/2016 21:05

natasha I think people are more horrified by the Uganda statistics rather than your holiday. What's your take on Uganda stats? At least people who lose money in the UK have some benefit safety net to fall back on.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 17/03/2016 21:08

patzy85
I have been guilty of those "look at me in the garden while you're at work" posts too!! But I was actually in the garden on a laptop working while you were all at work! 🙈 (Mean this for giggles not to offend!)
I pissed off more people than I care to remember! But to be fair I have done that on numerous occasions throughout the years so nothing new lol!
I do however have a sense of humour... Recently a guy I know posted taking the mick about "bots" (he is with a good friend of mine so knows I do it) and I liked the post and laughed..... Because it was funny! 😂

Motorheadmum · 17/03/2016 21:10

sparkle that's a brilliant post. I agree with you totally.

sparkleyes · 17/03/2016 21:11

Yes it looks and sounds like hard work. We've seen the videos where they tell us how hard they work and how it's not easy to get to the top. Fine. It's just that is interspersed with posts telling us how you can work it flexibly and a replace your full time income working part time!

It's the preachy I'm your saviour type posts that get my goat and the disparaging of anyone with a job.

FWIW I have my own business and work flexibly around my kids meaning I work in the office school hours then come home and start again!!! When my children were babies I often worked lying on their bedroom floor with my laptop in the dark! Work is all consuming 24/7 yes I have and enjoy my weekends etc but work takes up all my thoughts and mental energy so that's what really gets my goat with all the business owners "working" from their garden or such like it's selling such an unrealistic life

sparkleyes · 17/03/2016 21:14

I'm sorry I said "gets my goat" twice in that last post! FFS sound like me mum🙊🙊
