n0taBotfan Unlike WWC, I'm sure you realise that in my proposed inverted version of the Turing Test, I'm not trying to detect an actual machine pretending to be a human, what I'm looking for is whether humans have been deceived into mistaking a totalistic/cultic fiction for fact - making them respond, or refuse to respond, just like programmed computers.

Sadly, there are a hell of lot of people outside of cults who would fail my inverted version of the Turing Test. Politicians immediately spring to mind. That said, I have met a number of politicians who would pass.
