Fay, we're just ordinary people of all ages, woman and men, who have gradually come together since the first thread started last July I think.
We were united in agreement that the type of stuff being posted on social media was a real cause for concern, and some of us had personal and distressing experiences either directly or indirectly with MLM companies and their representatives. These experiences were far from the fairy tales being promoted by reps of the companies (which we later found out where built on lies and deceit).
As time went on, we started to do our own research to see exactly what MLM was, and it is due to what we have been uncovering that we are here now, thread 13 (each thread being 1000 posts).
We have created facebook pages now too highlight the illegal and shocking behaviour of these MLM companies. We have created a website too, which (a) parodies the way MLM companies work and (b) shines a very big, very unforgiving light on the reality of MLM companies, and (c) provides a platform for people who have been involved with MLM to come forward and tell their stories. These are often harrowing to read, but they are typical of the reality for most people who have got themselves involved in an MLM company.
MLM does not make a living for the vast majority, but it promotes a fairy tale lifestyle that is a lie from beginning to end. MLM is terribly destructive to individuals, families, women and men.
