Have you had a look at these websites, Fay? They may educate you a bit more about exactly what we are campaigning about.

What d'you think of these pictures, posted on social network, taking advantage of desperate people, women who want to spend more time with their families, or ridiculing people who work in a J.O.B.

Its really insulting isn't it? It's really offensive too, Fay. It's why we are shining a light on a business model (MLM) that has a proven failure rate for more than 99% of its reps. They end up spending more personal money than they ever get in income.

FLhahaha · 14/03/2016 19:47

fay thank you for your comments. We welcome informed debate and I think it does us all good to remember that not everyone shares our point of view. We all try to show that it is the industry and the specific companies we have issues with, rather than individuals. However, because of how the industry is run, individual people are their own business. And if it really is a 6 figure profit making business it should be run in accordance with the many laws of the country. And if it isn't, fair enough to point that out, I think.

So to any business owner who does have a 6 figure income, I would recommend you tale some external advice on tax, VAT, personal liability, advertising guidelines, data protection and the rest. Because that is what businesses do.

fay81 · 14/03/2016 19:47

Twunk I didn't mention you being jealous or unsuccessful. Perhaps that's your own insecurity?

Melaw21 · 14/03/2016 19:49

Ahhh... That must make fay 34 then lazycoo? 😉

I am perfectly secure in myself, not having to mention "casually" that I am a multi-millionaire. You really are a peach aren't you?

Ever heard of irony?

Eyespying · 14/03/2016 19:51

'bot is a dehumanising term'

Yes, 'Bot' (short for robot) is a an accurate description of formerly free-thinking humans, who have undergone radical personality transformations and who have suddenly begun to recite a 'negative vs positve' script, and systematically to ignore all evidence which proves their script to be a dangerous fairy story.

fay81 · 14/03/2016 19:51

Stopfaffing I am not going to dispute that some of the tactics used to recruit are wrong

Melaw21 · 14/03/2016 19:54

I do genuinely hope you are, as you claim, unconnected to those in question fay otherwise It would be a bit unreasonable to not announce your true interest? Be it friendship, business relationship etc? (Not asking you to name/identify yourself btw) I was genuinely interested in your industry/and what you did, not your company name btw... I am pleased to hear of your success 😊

fay, you've obviously come on here out of support to one of the bots recently crying about bullying. The fact you feel the need to drop in your worth makes you even less believable. It's all smoke and mirrors.

acatcalledjohn · 14/03/2016 19:56

Snap, Melaw.

fay81 · 14/03/2016 19:59

Thanks melaw. And well done on the quick math. I am indeed 34z I do have several causal acquaintances who are "bots" and I say live and let live. Sticking up for mates isnt my motivation here. I totally agree that for 99% of the population mlm isn't going to work. It is what it is.

My issue is with people trying to tear others down.

Twunk don't be upset #hun being a millionaire isn't for everyone

Twunk don't be upset #hun being a millionaire isn't for everyone

Especially those who flaunt it. Terribly bad taste. Like a dodgy Stilton, or a wine that's been open too long.

fay81 · 14/03/2016 20:02

I "dropped in my worth" after a comment someone made about me being vulnerable to mlm. I truly don't need more money or more work. I can't cope with the amount of work I have. That was my point. Your reaction to my worth demonstrates more...

fay81 · 14/03/2016 20:02

I worked hard for my 3.5 million so I will flaunt it when necessary.

Melaw21 · 14/03/2016 20:02

So Fay, you have no special interest at all then? Financial or otherwise? 100% pinky swear?

OP posts:
fay81 · 14/03/2016 20:04

Financial or otherwise pink swear 100%. (Although if you look hard enough you will
See i am an arbonne "rep" purely because despite my millions I won't pay full price for shampoo)

acatcalledjohn · 14/03/2016 20:05

I work hard for my £22k after tax a year. I work bloody hard for it too. Be proud of your achievements, not a fucking bank balance. It's the sort of behaviour deadly sin which doesn't become anyone.

Patzy85 · 14/03/2016 20:06

Fay81 - all respectable business owners that I know, not to mention some very successful people in marketing, find MLM to be nothing more than a disgusting sham designed to part desperate/vulnerable people with their money.

As a business woman surely you have to find the business plan more than a little suspicious, no? And doesn't it shock you that someone can fleece young mums just to make up the CCs? Would you have wanted to make your money that way?

That's what is being fought here - people are trying to stop others from being drawn in to a S.C.A.M.

What started as a lighthearted discussion became so, so much more and it is having a huge impact on the MLM world. One single person crying 'bully' over a few flippant remarks (carefully leaving out the basis for such remarks since it would mean people would most likely side with us) or a lone multi-millionaire who just happened to randomly feel the need to give their opinion doesn't change the fact that this is a good cause worth fighting for.

throwingpebbles · 14/03/2016 20:06

Yeah, I have to say, I am sooo totes jealous Fay. And I have a lot of sympathy for people who get criticised for their jobs. I am a dildo painter and people think it is fine to mock and ridicule me publicly too

Personal attacks are deleted by MN
Of course it would be very easy for a bot to Post attacks, we're all anonymous here, although I think it would be easy to spot.

If you could screenshot any personal attacks or bullying you've seen Fay and post them here, I for one will apologise.

Eyespying · 14/03/2016 20:07

'I worked hard for my 3.5 million so I will flaunt it when necessary.'

Rupees? Hungarian forints?

acatcalledjohn · 14/03/2016 20:08

Non-tourist Cuban pesos?

Motorheadmum · 14/03/2016 20:09

Hi fay welcome, I can assure you that I regularly contribute to these threads as someone who escaped an MLM and I don't either bully anyone or see people being bullied. A lot of bullying goes on within MLM's and that isn't right.
