My friend has just moved from pampered chef to norwex. She seems happy enough and isn't pushy at all.

worcestersauce29 · 14/03/2016 20:37

mine is 'leading' online training at the mo, what better way to spend a Monday evening…………….not ;)

Worcestersauce i finished work at 2 and now I'm watching tv I know that's what i would rather be doing.

See, I do get what you guys are saying...

acatcalledjohn · 14/03/2016 20:40

You're watching Timeless Vie?!

How many page views is that now, Last?

Melaw21 · 14/03/2016 20:40

Yes thank you fay very nice they are too! Factoring the debt would take care of that for the conference organiser though, so cash up front wouldnt necessarily be needed, account can then be cleared by the client within 30-60 days with proceeds received from the sale of event tickets. Almost zero risk to both parties really? Also, I have seen many a daytime event in bot pages, so conference centres/meeting venues are missing a trick there! 😊

That made me really laugh (snort like a pig) acatcalledjohn! No actual television! Not TV

worcestersauce29 · 14/03/2016 20:42

exactly fay81 but sadly those caught up in the whole scam don't get it and that's what we endeavour to do here……….raise awareness :)

throwingpebbles · 14/03/2016 20:43

better ways??? funny, people like eyes and others have been observing these MLMs with horror, and writing factual, calm and insightful blogs. so much information already out there which points out very clearly that these are a "cultic racket". Yet the regulators have kept their heads in the sand, despite it being "obviously a criminal and/ or cultic cover" (the words of an eminent and highly experienced lawyer)

Finally, finally, our jokey threads, the spoof MLM and the amazing, factual and calm bot watch have managed to get some serious media focus on what is going on. The fact any FL bots or their friends and associations are trying to stir things up here just shows that actual this has been quite an effective way of dealing with things.

The horror stories I have read here and elsewhere, of real, serious bullying and manipulation within MLMs like Forever, mean make any occasional personal comments that over stepped the mark on here pale in comparison.

the majority of commentary on these threads has focussed on the deceptive practices, the highly misleading claims etc etc. those right at the pinnacle of those practices are inevitably going to feel a bit singled out and under pressure, because they generally seem to have 'led the charge' towards escalating levels of deception to draw in new recruits. (not singling out any particular individual here by the way)

I have seen people dragged into Forever, people watching helplessly as family members are dragged into forever. I have seen people spend a small fortune on foul tasting aloe gloop because a nurse working for forever told them it would work to cure their serious and chronic illness. I have seen the widespread claims across the internet. Of course those who have spearheaded the deception are feeling jittery right now. Ariix is drawing people away and the media and the regulators are breathing down their necks. focussing on the occasional comment of someone on an internet forum is a red herring. It is clear from the stories coming forward, and from various public statuses posted by ex bots, that bullying is endemic in Forever.

Wonderfulworcestershirelady · 14/03/2016 20:43

Isn't there a famous euro millionaire eurobot?

throwingpebbles · 14/03/2016 20:45

apologies for the slightly, erm, chimpish, grammar and typos in that post. its late, and I've been working hard painting dildos all day. and I still haven't had an apology from the people who thought it was ok to mock me for my job

worcestersauce29 · 14/03/2016 20:46

damn wwl you have outed me ;)

fay81 · 14/03/2016 20:46

Melaw

Sorry to
Disappoint but I can honestly hand on heart say that we have never had an mlm use conference rooms. evenings we don't open. During the day we have limited parking and we are usually fully booked way in advance with our regular customers. Most mlm people local to me use a variety of pubs and other venues depending on meeting size. It's not a market place we are in too.

I know a number of mlmers (I won't call them Bots) through school (they are parents at my children's school) my gym, business networking and friends. And I have no business from any of them. I have bought product from them but they have never returned the favour...

throwingpebbles · 14/03/2016 20:51

why would you buy their products? surely as a successful businesswoman you must be able to figure out that all MLM products have to be heinously overpriced for the MLM to function.

anyway I hope you haven't brought any forever products. if you read bot watch you will see that they don't even have the necessary herbal medicine licence which would at least confirm they are safe to consume Shock

Twunk · 14/03/2016 20:52

Seriously Fay we are not bastards. All this genuinely comes from a good place. And Mumsnet IS a nest of vipers. I would accept that the humour can be a bit...cutting...at times. It's the way of this forum (and many others to be fair).

fay81 · 14/03/2016 20:54

It's quite scary how quickly one of the forum members tracked me down.
How long until my address and appearance is posted here in the same way that "bots" have been treated in the past. I am seriously concerned that my identity is now common knowledge thanks to miss marple (melaw) and private messages. Scary world!

This is my issue with these threads. If it's purely about the mlm go after the CEO not the vulnerable (your own words) on the ground.

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 20:55

the only thing we're interested in tearing down is MLMs.
next!

fay81 · 14/03/2016 20:57

I bought Argi. I train a lot and don't eat huge amounts and was very fatigued. I tried a sample and was undecided so I bought a bag- £32 (at cost) to try it over a longer period so I can make an informed decision. I try lots of supplements to
Complement my training and somei continue to use others I don't as i feel
No benefit.
Jury is out on Argi this far...

Twunk · 14/03/2016 20:58

It's a good lesson Fay. Posting your name was a bit of a no-no. But it depends, I don't particularly stay anonymous - others do.

fay81 · 14/03/2016 21:00

I find it amusing that someone would go on face book and trawl through all the fays on there. Not being a keyboard warrior I dont feel the need to hide behind a pseudonym.

acatcalledjohn · 14/03/2016 21:01

Really? With that username you thought you'd be anonymous for long?

Hmm
stopfaffing · 14/03/2016 21:02

Fay, why would your address/appearance be posted here? Puzzled?

The CEO doesn't post lies in order to lure people to join the company (far too clever to dirty their own hands).

fay81 · 14/03/2016 21:03

Nope
Again what I find amusing yet slightly creepy is that someone would be arsed to go and Track me down for the sake of a two bit mumsNet thread...
It's tedious and a bit scary/stalkerish. (Like the bot stalking)

stopfaffing · 14/03/2016 21:05

Well, you don't have to come here and read or post stuff, Fay.

fay81 · 14/03/2016 21:05

You have in the past posted the address of a bot. And nicknames are often based on appearance. Maybe as I am not a bot I will be safe!
