Seems like Le-Vel is going to be another one to look out for! Having a bit of a dig around for more information so will keep you updated.

acatcalledjohn · 15/03/2016 15:58

I once ordered the veggie grilled halloumi burger in a pub. Fancied some meat, so asked to have bacon put on it.

It was amazing!

CheekySmile · 15/03/2016 15:59

I usually call it squeaky cheese. Turns out that the staff at my local Tesco have no idea what I'm on about if I ask where the squeaky cheese is located...

throwingpebbles · 15/03/2016 15:59

I'm hankering after a lovely earthy slice of Tomme de Savoie ....

throwingpebbles · 15/03/2016 16:00

wild 😂

Melaw21 · 15/03/2016 16:01

artless thank you, any extra info is great!

Yep - the cheese is out now it appears! I got a good idea - why don't we randomly talk about cheesy bites for a bit - mine is cheddar - bit of pickle and some t cut port to wash it down with ....

acatcalledjohn · 15/03/2016 16:02

I meant to respond to your post earlier, artless, but you know with having a real J.O.B and that...

Le-Vel was mentioned in one of the very early threads. It's much of a muchness, all about premium lifestyles the products again appear totally secondary. It died a death for a bit but looks like it's worth keeping an eye out for again.

Melaw21 · 15/03/2016 16:02

We call it squeaky cheese too cheeky you are in good company! Lol

Salami though is what this bully I knew once loved to eat - he used to munch on it whilst biffing people with over sized eyebrows stood up to him - really don't know what became of him after '89 - think he went into advertising ....

acatcalledjohn · 15/03/2016 16:06

On a cheesy note: I was at a 90s party the other week and suddenly the DJ played Jitterbug.

We were all a bit Hmm, but then more Shock when we realised it was EARLY eighties!

Patzy85 · 15/03/2016 16:07

I've heard there is a huge correlation between loving salami and being a bully.

Good job there's no salami loving bullies here! Grin

artlessflirt · 15/03/2016 16:07

It's weird. Most of the people in the group seem to be a part of other MLMs. Is this the norm? They all promote each others 'business' in the hope of selling their own stuff?

It has really bothered me that it's seen as okay to prey on women with PND, all for the sake of selling a crappy product. 'Thrive' it's called. Haven't seen any posts recruiting, it's all selling and free trials and bullshit about weight loss and having more energy. The usual, as you say acatcalledjohn, nothing too remarkable. Still, has irked me enough to want to tear down this bot.

throwingpebbles · 15/03/2016 16:07

Has anyone tried substitute cheese? My boy is allergic to dairy. Have tried soya cheese, it is so disgusting it would probably make a really good pyramid scheme product if we dreamt up some spurious health benefits

The fake ice creams on the other hand can be lovely!

Melaw21 · 15/03/2016 16:08

Thats weird acat I have to say though, 80's or 90's, GM is a guilty pleasure of mine! 👍

Apparently the Russians have waged a war on cheese .... Jeez this is serious !

Same here. Have a compilation album (twenty five) in the car for those longer journeys. The man was genuinely good though. Was rocking away when he appeared during the Olympics opening ceremony!

NorbertDentressangle · 15/03/2016 16:12

pebbles I tried vegan cheese once. Not good.

It was many years ago but IIRC we put it on top of something to melt but it didn't melt. It stayed whole and complete and din't change texture or anything. I swear you could have torched it, driven over it with a tank and blown it up with a grenade and it would have remained exactly as it was when it came out of the packet.

Hope fully vegan cheese has moved on from that nowadays.

acatcalledjohn · 15/03/2016 16:12

throwing, a dairy allergy sounds like hell to me! I have seen an instruction vid on making dairy free cheese, and it looked awful!

workingwithchimps · 15/03/2016 16:13

Charles De Gaul once said 'how can you govern a country with 247 different varieties of cheese' - wow who knew!....

kamchatka23 · 15/03/2016 16:15

Vegan cheese has a texture very much like soap - it still doesn't melt. Sage Derby for me please!
