Our focus is on the MLMs. But their modus operandi is to let the individuals do the diirty work for them.

Melaw21 · 14/03/2016 22:19

Yeah, thats the thing isnt it last... Have no problem whatsoever with a business person working a 60 hour week And using childcare, its utterly realistic and expected in order to be successful, butbtherein lies the problem, why do these bots/adherents (hic) insist on selling mlm as a part time opportunity that can be easily worked in "the nooks and crannies" of your life (to quote one video I watched earlier) for mega riches and unlikely/unachievable returns? Not all bots are guilty of this, but many many are... And its just not on.

really? bumbags? huh.

smiinky · 14/03/2016 22:22

Yes we do have far biiger things to think about. This top #bossbabe here has given herself at least a couple of weeks off from her #laptoplifestyle. Ok ok ok I admit the last contract I completed has almost killed me.
So, time to do my own books #pampertime (I'm at my mothers in a bathrobe and poundshop argan oil footsocks, you're not getting any smug selfies you can all fuck off) And I plan to watch a shit load of traiining from newer, more siniister batshiit mlms. Personal attacks? Naaaaah, far too busy doing proper research to get swept into something as superficial as that, make no doubt about it, the bots aren't and never were the reason for our anger. We are flippin angry on their behalf. I just wonder if accusing us of bullying is a way of not having to deal with the far scarier truth of we've uncovered. I can imagine the fear and insecurity they feel, because someone is attacking your belief system (i.e. The mlm). When you've been conditioned to think the outside world is doomed, then it's a great excuse isn't it. I mean, anyone who questions it is a hater isn't it? So reactions like this just confirm what we've studied. It totally fits with a cult victim mentality. It's horrible.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 14/03/2016 22:24

What's the deal with herbalife?
Someone on fb invited me to a 'coffee morning' for people wanting to lose weight.
The promo video features her wearing a herbalife t shirt....
Thought that one was banned?

MrGrumpy01 · 14/03/2016 22:25

Fay welcome to the thread Smile

Everyone is vulnerable to being recruited, if not today, then maybe next month or next year. We all have our weak spots, a 'clever' person will spot them. It is also wrong to think 'my friends wouldn't recruit me, I'm OK' I have been approached twice by complete random strangers. I also could have been softly pulled into one as well had I not been so dog tired from a non-sleeping baby

I am sorry if persons/people feel they are being bullied, that is wrong and shouldn't happen, however there has also been lots of genuine sorrow and sympathy expressed for those involved especially regarding the time involved and some of the seemingly unwise financial decisions being made in the name of their MLM. Most people are left wondering who is behind the MLM persona.

But I still don't understand why they all seem to want to live in a barn conversion. Grin

DollyTwat · 14/03/2016 22:25

I think that's the problem we have here. The bots ARE the business. That's how it's sold

The lies range from the health claims to the fake lifestyles

So in calling out the lies we can't help but to target an individual, if they're the one telling the lies

The whole business has been built on lies.

DollyTwat · 14/03/2016 22:28

And you're right Smiinky everyone here is very welcoming to the brave bots who escape it's our rage on their behalf that drives this. Even if the ones still in it can't see it

fay81 · 14/03/2016 22:29

Last.. What are you waiting for? Is it a response to something from me?

Patzy I do sometimes post pics of the gym/designer shoes/bags but not to entice people to believe a 60 hour week almost having heart attack and almost getting divorced is a great lifestyle

cozietoesie · 14/03/2016 22:31

lazycoo

Remember to pass it in the right direction. Wink

Aloedofcrap · 14/03/2016 22:35

De lurking again.

I believe I twas me who brought attention to the particular MLMer who is being discussed re bullying.

Firstly I have engaged in no bullying, the description I used came from a particular post she made on her own public profile, prior to me posting, taking the mickey out of her (now) identifying feature ( I have a screen shot of this post date if ever needed!)

The reason she was flagged up was because on her publicly available profile she frequently makes suggestions of large country home ownership as a show of her success within this dubious industry as a way of enticing others to join her supposedly successful business. It is a very misleading tactic which is employed by many MLMers to purport an air of success to try and entice others to part with their cash and join this misleading business venture.

DollyTwat · 14/03/2016 22:44

I didn't know that - so she referenced her own awesome

I think most people are just in awe of them, and the fabulous eyeliner skills. I'm jealous if anything

Toobusytowee · 14/03/2016 22:44

I would like a TV mug please. Someone keeps leaving a Forever Living giant water bottle at work. I need to balance things a little.

Fay, please don't feel that you are immune to MLMs because of your money. You are vulnerable to them because of your money and also because you think you cannot be tricked. Anyone can be duped into it.

With regards to individuals being singled out in FL, I think this is due to the strange culture there of trying to make celebrities out of some of them. They are brought out on stage, mentioned in magazines, endless You Tube footage. They have to get their image and lifestyle out there to get attention and followers and more victims. They are encouraged to lie, to use attraction marketing. They want people to look at them. Then, when people investigate the MLM, you can't help notice these individuals and what they are doing. They are the face of the company. You cannot ignore them.

Also, you need to remember this is a public forum. The people chatting here have not been vetted or signed a contract or agreed to any codes of conduct specific to the cause. We are not an official body. We are a bunch of random people. Some stay calm, some get angry, some become emotional and all this spills out into an interesting conversation. If a few comments were made a whe ago about a particular person/persons, you cannot then say the whole group or our cause is at fault.

We are freethinking individuals and that is great. Well most of us are.

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 22:48

almost all the top bot/MLM recruiters are gorgeous. just sayin'.

^^ well said toobusy

DollyTwat · 14/03/2016 22:48

I'm going back to Arseliiix to work out why I think the bots are going to be ripped off more than usual. I have this AWFUL feeling about it. I think some of the top bots are going to leave their current MLM where they are superstars and fall on their faces

DollyTwat · 14/03/2016 22:49

And well said Toobusy

I'm a loose cannon though. I might call you a cunt at any moment

fay81 · 14/03/2016 22:52

Too busy I don't accept that I am vulnerable- I simply have no interest in working at anything now. I have done my graft, made my money and now wish to pursue other things that don't have financial reward. I have no desire to start any new business mlm or traditional. And if the time comes that i do consider it I would go down the path that I have proven works.

I take your point that people put themselves out there but still don't think derogatory identifiers are acceptable or the term bots

I also accept your point that you can't control as a group what each individual says.

Bananasmel · 14/03/2016 22:53

If I made all my Facebook posts public or I had a public page and posted every crumb of my life on it and LIED or did fake crap to try and recruit people into some dressed up pyramid scheme.... Then yes I expect eventually someone would call me out on it.

That would not be bullying, it would be my own fault and tough shit frankly.

Aloedofcrap · 14/03/2016 22:55

Yes dolly it was referenced by the public figure in question before I posted, hence why it was stuck in my mind before posting (and vary aware I could not use initials, screenshots etc as that was against MN guideline!)

Yes quite
This thread has been quite successfully detailed though. Just saying

throwingpebbles · 14/03/2016 23:00

bot isn't intended to be derogatory. More sympathetic and concerned. It originated when we realised just how brainwashed they become and how cult like these "businesses" are. Then eyes waded in and opened our eyes to the fact they truly are "cultic rackets"
Instead of raging at us you should be raging at the high level cult organisers that have sucked in your friend (s)
