I think online videos, much like the one Richy Howie did, are a great way to gain awareness to a page. Paid ads could work well but the only problem with TV is a lot of people (like myself - pussy!) love to view it but don't like it simply for the fear of our bots seeing!

Something humorous that gets people tagging their friends and goes viral will get a lot of attention and probably more page interaction than a paid ad.

FLhahaha · 14/03/2016 21:54

Thank you Fay, we are up for using lots of different tactics. The trouble with not making it personal is that ( very cleverly) distributors have to be individuals (at least for FL). Then there is a long document and a bit of compliance training, so the company can pay lip service to how to conduct business properly. Then the company says ( buried in lots of small print) 'and if you do it wrong, it is not our fault'. And then it sets up a payment structure, and a product, and a price, at which it is NOT POSSIBLE to compete in an open market and make money. But because of the structure, the company can wash its hands of all the 'mistakes' of the distributors, whilst encouraging them to make those mistakes in the first place.

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 21:56

hey fay. we're not running a business, we're running a campaign. different idea. different tactics. wasn't really serious about mouse pads. chill, lady.

I strongly disagree that there's anything personal about the TV campaign. So you're wrong. This thread is different - it's a lot of different people talking over the issues. sometimes people don't think before they post, myself included. but, hey, at least we're not trying to manipulate our friends into joining our 'team' of people buying overpriced shite. yay us!

If only I had inherited wealth from my father! Again I will reiterate for the 4th (maybe 5th time) I mention my success in response to a post suggesting that as a result of being cyber bullied I was vulnerable to being recruited! Most of my friends and indeed family have no idea how much I sold my business's for. I would have thought suffering from bipolar disorder would have put me further up the vulnerable list!

Put me down for a bum bag (and socks and sandals)

My "friends" in mlms don't have anything to do with my ramblings here. My thoughts are my own. And again for the record, I don't have a problem with the cause just the personal nature if it.

In terms of my experience of cyber bullying in my experience and info from the police if you feel harassed by someone's comments online (or indeed in person) it is construed as harassment and can be dealt with by way of harassment order...

Ohwoolballs · 14/03/2016 22:03

< slowly and quietly unwraps a Dairylea Triangle>

I would love a mug. Or a Parsalii spice rack.

fay81 · 14/03/2016 22:03

I just spotted an irony I think you guys will love. In order to get where we have in business we had to work 60 hours plus per week and put out children in nursery from 9 months old... Not very mlm boy worthy behaviour

lazycoo · 14/03/2016 22:04

Are you alluding to that again? So, again: who have we harassed? Where? You should know better, particularly given your history, so please stop because it seems to be you who is doing the cyber-bullying, not us.

Are you here to see if you can coax someone into harassing you?

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 22:05

but the person was targetting you specifically- amirite?

we're not targetting any particular person. TV has had posts about younique, jamberry, juice plus, it works, forever living. We've got videos about different lies caught in FL. we're going after MLMs as a whole. BOt watch is more focussed on bullshit health claims but not on one particular person.

I just don't see how it would stand up.

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 22:05

oh and ann summers. we just did one about ann summers.

DayToDayGlobalShit · 14/03/2016 22:06

So fay where was it that you read about MN bullying and making personal attacks?

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 22:06

fay haha fair call.

I say yes to TV mugs!

fay81 · 14/03/2016 22:06

Lazycoo you could not be more wrong. I am here to add a different point of view. I don't wish to be harassed or harrass any one. I was asked about my experience and I gave an example. I could go into more detail about my experience, which was vastly different to this...
Seriously I don't wish to be a pain in the bum. Merely offer a different opinion.

throwingpebbles · 14/03/2016 22:09

The only people constantly dragging up the issue of you know who is you and miss chimps....
We've moved far far from that and have far biigger thiings to thiink about. As, I suspect, do Forever bots generally.

lazycoo · 14/03/2016 22:09

Why do you keep going on about harassment then? What are you trying to say? You don't seem to have much of a 'third opinion' to give beyond vague threats about cyber bullying. Which is of itself bullying behaviour. Care to clarify, rather than just telling me I'm wrong?

Eyespying · 14/03/2016 22:10

Lazycoo asked: Who have we harassed? Where?, but I see no response to this not-unreasonable question, from which I can draw only one reasonable conclusion.

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 22:11

fay, if what you mean by 'don't be personal' is don't go after MLM social media posts then i dont' agree. That is exactly what we need to be doing. I agree that names should be left off them, but they are a really excellent way of capturing the way MLMs work and how people are targeted to recruit.

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 22:12

especially when we can compare what's in social media (work 10 hours a week around the kids! blah blah blah) with actual stories from informers showing the reality is very different.

DollyTwat · 14/03/2016 22:14

I've asked 3 times for the proof, and said I would apologise if it could be supplied. So, changing tactic here ...

Fay, so you're upset that you're friend feels bullied. We get that. We also are sorry she feels that way.

As a result of your friend feeling that way, we will try very hard to not be personal, if we ever were.

We won't stop calling people out on their lies though. That's fair game, agreed?

fay81 · 14/03/2016 22:15

Lazycoo I haven't constantly gone on about cyber bullying or harassment. I have made a good number of valid points that you either haven't seen or are ignoring. Nor have I made any threats.

My issue isn't with the campaign against mlm and the industry merely with the targeting of people in that industry. Using the derogatory term bots and making up names for people based on personal or physical characteristics.

throwingpebbles · 14/03/2016 22:17

Quite, their social media IS their business. Its not a locked down personal page. The selfies, the OMG what an awesome life I have, OMG look at my awesome renta car and my lovely renta castle are intrinsic to and essential to this "cultic racket"

lastuseraccount123 · 14/03/2016 22:17

where did TV make up a name based on personal or physical characteristics?

lazycoo · 14/03/2016 22:18

Your FIRST POST wished the police on us! That's a threat!

I'm wasting my breath here aren't I?

passes the port

fay81 · 14/03/2016 22:18

Dolly that is the most agreeable sentence anyone has said on here all evening. Go after the industry and any unsubstantiated claims but don't bring the people into it. And definitely don't do
Mugs or mouse mats.

Bumbags yes!

Patzy85 · 14/03/2016 22:18

The problem with targeting this industry is that it is really difficult not to be personal since the individuals almost sell themselves as opposed to the products, making the 'opportunity' seem more attractive and achievable.

The ones at the top show off for a living. Look at my car. Look I'm on a plane. Look I'm in the gym and you're at work. Look at this Mulberry bag. Look I can do whatever I like, such as watch this webinar at 10pm on a Sunday.

That is what they sell. The lifestyle.

And Fay, as you're successful, I bet you don't don't that because it just isn't what normal wealthy people do. The bragging is OTT. I'm sure you will find it tacky and distasteful, just like the rest of us.
