sminkypink The fist time I showed video footage of a big 'Amway' rally to a British journalist, he said it looked like a cross between a Nazi-party rally and a rock concert.

When you watch film of Nazi rally rallies, remember everyone had paid to to attend, and publications, accessories, recordings of speeches, etc., were sold to the faithful. 'Nazism' was a vastly-profitable fraud, long before it's authors took control of Western Europe through violence.

twunk Flowers

throwingpebbles · 02/03/2016 10:40

eyes what has changed recently is that there are a number of law firms finding new and innovative ways to finance large group actions
There is also a big push for lawyers to do more pro bono work
I suspect the legal landscape is changing enough to mean FL need to start to worry about big claims round the corner...

Eyespying · 02/03/2016 10:44

throwingpebbles You can be my pro-vodka legal adviser.

Seriously, that is encouraging news.

Twunk · 02/03/2016 10:51

How pro- vodka are you pebbles?

Grin
cozietoesie · 02/03/2016 10:53

I think as long as we avoid the T word, she's OK. Grin

Eyespying · 02/03/2016 10:55

Twunk - Since I restricted my use the 'T' word, Smirnoff shares have fallen.

eyes your restraint with the t word recently has been very good for my liver and my sanity Grin

throwingpebbles · 02/03/2016 11:32

Wow cita !

Patzy85 · 02/03/2016 11:33

What I want to know is whereabouts in the plan do they manage to change an individual from normal to desperate and money driven.

Is it in the mindset training that this 'thing' that you're doing, pushing people to recruit more people and part with hundred of pounds, is 'positive'.

Because it's not. Honestly what makes you look at a new mum and see £ signs? Especially when you have seen people lose out.

They all (appear to) genuinely believe that they're saint like, saving these people. Hmm

Kanga59 · 02/03/2016 11:46

The more Bots that come on here and the more they say, the more confirmed Eyes' cult theory becomes.

Kanga59 · 02/03/2016 11:51

Can anyone make out the numbers/words on the cheque from the "AMAZING INCOME STREAM FROM AUSTRALIA" cheque on the Success Inspired facebook business page?

Eyespying · 02/03/2016 12:02

Patzy85 In reply to your question, I would simply say that 'MLM' cults are faith-based.

It's time to post this video clip of Christopher Hitchens again, because in it, he explains how easy it has always been to bring ordinary, morally-normal unbelievers to acquiesce to evil and to regard even the most heinous criminal acts as being perfectly righteous.

Kanga can't see an Australia one - the New Zealand one appears to have a 'ONE' in the hundreds column, can't make out the rest (zeros before the hundred, obv Grin). $200NZ dollars is less than £100 so I guess this amazing income stream is about £80. About how much it will cost to cash the foreign cheque!

Patzy85 · 02/03/2016 12:22

Eyes - it's scary, isn't it. I wonder if there's a stage at which people start to realise/have doubts and tie is what deciphers the snakes from the decent human beings.

In my opinion, you cannot be decent if you see a struggling mum on maternity as an chance to score some CCs.

They must know that most of these people will not be able to make it work as a business, and not because of effort but because they have other priorities such as children and previous work, but this is when the snakes don't discourage. They just care about their own targets.

cozietoesie · 02/03/2016 12:33

Patzy

They're generally dog tired and under pressure - from various sources - to make it work. Add to those the huge belief that the training has engendered and you have people who - in many cases - would do most anything. Many of them are - or rather were - decent people but being pulled into The Life, robs them of the ability to think critically about what they're doing.

They're victims also.

darceybussell · 02/03/2016 12:38

That's a great find cita but I'd repost it with the name blacked out so that MN don't come along and delete it

MrGrumpy01 · 02/03/2016 12:42

I'm sad, my bot is getting in deeper, full on recruiting, full on about sacking the boss and a nice selection of inspirational and passive aggressive memes.

The odds are just stacked against them.

Citaborca · 02/03/2016 12:45

How do I delete the one I've already posted?

cozietoesie · 02/03/2016 12:52

Hi Cita

Only MNHQ can do it. Report your own post and ask for it to be done, giving your reasons. (They might do it or they might not - it's not automatic.)

I rather suspect, also, that people simply aren't given time in which to reflect on their actions? (There seems to be a great deal of rushing from pillar to post involved.)
