Cubic - that makes sense, it does seem to be manipulation from higher up to believe in what you're doing. I think though that it speaks volumes that you can look at it now and see it for what it truly was.

I'm startled by how much people I once knew have changed because of this 'opportunity'. They certainly aren't wealthier and it isn't for the better though.

Or when some or all of the 'golden people' jump ship as is looking increasingly likely in the very near future?

darceybussell · 02/03/2016 13:40

Cubic, how do people get into a situation where the money is SO important that it is worth making so many sacrifices for? I see a lot of videos and social media posts where people say that they have worked hard and sacrificed time with their kids but it was/will be soooo worth it once they are making loads of money. How do they reconcile that? I thought about going into investment banking after uni but decided that although the money is massive, the people I would have to work with were horrid and the hours were too long, so I chose not to do it - they don't seem to think that though. Is it because they have worked so hard already that it has to be worth it?

cozietoesie · 02/03/2016 13:50

I doubt it's just about money, darcey, although I will be interested to read Cubic's views. Isn't it as much about people being trained/led to believe in themselves and what they're doing? To believe that this is the only real/best way to Succeed and Achieve?

If so, and they fail, then there's some tragedy in that.

Motorheadmum · 02/03/2016 14:03

twunk with you on your why. It makes me mad too. I had my eldest going through treatment for leukaemia when Arbonne conned me

Are there any quiet points at which people might be able to take stock and review their situation or is it an inexorably increasing grind which leaves little or no room for anything else?

Not so much room for 'relaxing baths' then - mainly quick showers I'd guess?

sminkypink · 02/03/2016 14:46

it'd be a more relaxing job if you were a plate spinner in a cabaret

My Ariix bot just posted a photo of all her paper'work', pro planner, iPad and cup of coffee all spread out on a table with the caption 'my office for the day! Today a cafe, tomorrow the world!' Mate, you're in Wetherspoons. On your own, looking for people to harass about 'the Opportunity'.
(I recognised the setting as I was in there having a bacon sandwich earlier with friends. Chatting, not 'working'.

cozietoesie · 02/03/2016 14:53

Sheezz. No wonder there was that oblique reference to 'passion planning' in a previous thread. Grin

(Don't worry - I'm not going any further down that road. Wink)

Twunk · 02/03/2016 14:56

Motorheadmum Flowers
It's a shitty club to belong to, and it's amazing what some people will tell you. Many of them have the best intentions, at least I've always preferred to think so.

Twunk · 02/03/2016 14:57

Damn you for the DM link Cubic Wink

Yet more smoke and mirrors Cubic - well outright lying.

Cubic wow! How do these idiots think they're going to get away with this? Good on the Daily Mail for reporting it.
