Place marking whilst juggling aardvarks... And writing the 2nd in my business princess book series, 'Me, my fairytale castle and the princess at the top of the pyramid' last there will be some colouring pages too for when you have to drag ur kids to #parslai excess days or just for yourself so you can cope with the mind numbing boredom of watching people get on the stage to receive giant cheques for £15.33, whilst you cradle the expensive convention centre coffee that YOU paid for, which probably cost more than that cheque! #livingthedream 👊👊👊💯🙌🙌🍋🍋🍋

For a lot of us it's not about being annoyed by Facebook posts but rather our personal experience of friends and family joining MLM schemes and the problems they can cause within genuine long term relationships.

Where family and friends are regarded negative haters for speaking openly and honestly to loved ones hoping to help them make an informed choice. Where mindset is used to create an us v them, or positive people v negative people (in FL radiators v drains) attitude that damages relationships.

By the way I'm all for positive attitudes and goal setting but not at the expense of all else.

Amazon currently have around 9.5k listings for product from one eminent MLM with the first listed seller having 90 customer reviews going back to 2013. I would love to know what 'eventually' means in the context of 'eventually caught or found out'. Smile

(As for the MLM selling product directly from its own website? Gosh.)

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 18:46

I haven't personally seen that, I can honestly say that from my point of view it's been the best thing I ever did. We work well as a team, the team are happy and i would hope they as a whole work ethically and honestly. Your business wouldn't be stable with bad ethics. I do stand proud for how we work x

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 18:49

It's hard to give a proper response to this without any of you knowing my background but I adopted positive thinking long before forever. I was surrounded by drug users and let's just say "not very nice people" I hit rock bottom in general and I had to adopt a different view to escape. This worked for me and although some people didn't neccessarily support me as such with MLM I've never walked away from family or good friends voicing an opinion but I would absolutely walk away from people that are spiteful and hurtful .... There is a difference!

cozietoesie · 23/02/2016 18:49

A further point.

As someone who was once subject to the horror of a VAT audit - which, like a tax audit, you might have to face whether or not you're found eventually to be liable - could someone advise me of the support which the MLM teams give to any distributors who might be faced with regulatory compliance checks?

Vegodoll never goes to events... That surprises me, as all MLMs since Amway make money of the Salesforce/IBOs, and a major slice of that comes from the tickets IBOs are encouraged to buy for seminars and events. FL must make good money from SuccessDays at £30 a pop. Natasha, does any of that cash go your way? In Amway the Diamonds lived off the revenue from books, tapes and events and FL of course is an Amway-clone.

Melaw21 · 23/02/2016 18:51

Ethics? What in terms of signing people up to a scheme they have less than 1% chance of ever actually making any money from? I dont get it...

Vego/chimp/Natasha (really aimed at upper pins) How do you make sure that IBOs below you are making 10 retail sales a month? I know MLM-frauds try to blur the line between IBO personal use and "sales" by using terms like PV, CC etc but legally, to not be a pyramid scheme, you should ensure that IBOs sell directly to 3rd parties?

Melaw21 · 23/02/2016 18:53

Just read your post barnbot how very sad, what a terrible time for you, so you were actually very vulnerable when you were recruited then?

fastdaytears · 23/02/2016 18:53

Especially if your only answer to the failures was that they weren't cut out for this and it was natural selection

Someone said in the last thread that morality wasn't a part of it. (Or words to that effect. ) I think that that disposes of the question of ethics. Smile

I have absolutely no proper understanding about tax it gives me a migraine! We do however have an accountancy firm that we use and they do support these problems by holding training mornings so we understand exactly what we need to do. I personally just send everything to them and let them do it..... Far easier!
