Patzy - the article you send me to is just that - a journalistic article written by someone neither of us has heard of - was there a follow-up? - did the Ugandan if not all African heads of State propose a ban on MLM in their respective countries - no - I thought not - MLM's still exist in these countries - why because they appear to be ethical and rely on the indivdual concerned. Bear in mind it was this country that raped and pillaged not only the people - but their wealth and minerals many years ago - though no-one seems to bring that up as a topic - wonder why?

throwingpebbles · 23/02/2016 17:57

So you don't mind about the Mormon homophobic origins and the prevalence of false medical claims .....?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 17:57

No, personal cc includes customer retail. You only have to do 4cc to be paid on your team... The idea being everyone doing a little and not one person sat back doing nothing. If however you don't want to team build you will get paid a bonus on everything you sell regardless of how many cc you do.

Powertotheparalai · 23/02/2016 17:58

natasha I have a question

If you had a downline who was clearly a crappy upline. How would you deal with that?

For eg.

I have a friend who was in the same situation with you when she started (different MLM), she's doing rubbish basically. She just fills her FB with the spammy drivel, memes and has the fake it until she makes it attitude.

From reading a lot of this thread and seeing on Facebook there's a certain knack to getting into the positions you are in & I imagine specific marketing techniques (Aweber/ active campaign style email marketing lists with lead magnets, LBOs and follow ups as one instance)

My friend's upline clearly has no idea what she is doing, and as a result, my friend has no idea what she is doing, and my friends downline will not be effectively mentored and so forth.

My friend and my friend's downline would be the typical failed MLMers who have lost time and money to the MLM scheme they have joined.

If you saw this happening within your downlines, how would you handle it? As this would negatively reflect on you. Do you make the effort to nip it in the bud and ensure your downlines are mentoring correctly or is it not your problem?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 17:59

How can I make judgement on someone's personal beliefs??? Come on that's not for me to answer!

throwingpebbles · 23/02/2016 18:01

Ok well how about the medical claims about non-licensed products? And why don't you just put money jnto getting them licensed?

And to be frank, you should care as that is where your money is going!

bossbabebot · 23/02/2016 18:02

Natasha we are not asking you to make comments on someone's beliefs - we are asking you for your thoughts on being part of a company who's main guy is homophobic to the extreme as in actively stopping the right for gay marriage - I for one could not work for that person - or do you have the same beliefs/morals?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 18:02

I've seen this happen, I work with any team no matter where they are if they want me to. I am always working with downline sometimes 7 deep for this reason! Everyone is different and needs different support and I've actually been very direct about my thoughts on people signing people and then not supporting them. Of course this does sometimes happen for whatever reason but I personally would work with them if their sponsor didn't

ambler21 · 23/02/2016 18:02

So back to question one from eye.

fastdaytears · 23/02/2016 18:02

Do you think homophobia is ok if it's an individual's personal belief?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 18:05

I suggest if that's what you think that you go into work tomorrow and find out whether your CEO supports any cause you're not happy with! I don't know what our CEO supports and I don't always believe what I read so all I can say is would he pay my bonus if I was gay???? Yes he would! Nothing more to say on that

Powertotheparalai · 23/02/2016 18:06

thanks natasha

So if said down (x7) line was an absolutely hopeless cause, and they were squandering money away just for the sake of making their 4CCs would you tell them so even though I imagine this would effect your overall income?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 18:06

What is this??
I've come here to answer a few questions people have about MLM, not pass judgement on yet again a googled search of possibly wrong information!! Do u still buy from McDonald's??? Didn't they support the IRA! We could go on with this all night! Pointless!

fastdaytears · 23/02/2016 18:07

I don't always believe what I read

There is no confusion whatsoever about how much Rexy has contributed to homophobic causes.

Cheekysmile, I don't think anyone has ever been able to prove this long term residual income thing. Many in this industry say they are " retired" though, but unless you have big money in the bank I don't see how you can be retired at 19 really (for example). I am guessing that the few VERY successful people in MLM, invest their money into other things and live off the residual income until it dries up. That's kind of what I am planning on doing. I consider those earning in excess of millions a year to be successful. And I am definitely not in that category, but I am happy with what I earn.

I know absolutely nothing about the FL practices. All, I can say is that to the best of my knowledge MLM doesn't require you to recruit to stay active. I am not required to recruit anyone to stay active. I only need to have £85 personal volume each calendar month to be considered active, and I sell on average three times that. So, it is not out of my pocket. But the big earnings are dependent on volume, and because I can't sell a million pounds worth of product each month on my own, I recruit. With that said, there are hundreds of people in my team who go in and out of being active all the time. Nothing happens, they don't get their account shut down or anything. Other companies are not so relaxed, and will delete inactive accounts from what I hear.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 18:10

I would and I have! I'm very honest with people in my team, I'm sure I've had a few not happy with me but it's probably because I'm straight talking and don't sugar the pill. One lady was particularly unethical in my 2nd line, she lied about her income and never supported her team, I spoke with her numerous times and still she didn't listen. We can only do our best to keep ethics but we physically can't make people do it properly and professionally. Unfortunately it's that attitude that makes my job harder

keeptheaspidistra · 23/02/2016 18:11

Re the posts on the last thread that this site makes no differences to the "MLM industry" (playing catch up, apologies)...
After being subjected to boring spamming that aloe Vera could cure my anaemia (really?!?!) & random invites from old colleagues (who happen to now flog aloe Vera cringe) I've not seen in years to meet up for my maternity leave I googled forever living to see what the fuss is about and ended up here. Everything I have read has made me want to avoid MLMs like the plague (an overpriced gloopy aloe Vera never-ending spamming plague).
Also if these threads are nonsense and making no impact why the need for MLMers to get on the defensive?
And finally, confused how people can choose to post about their lives and children etc openly on the internet then complain when this is referenced openly on the Internet? Surely that's the price you pay when you try "brand" yourself and sell a lifestyle?!

PonyoLovesHam · 23/02/2016 18:11

Ive been lurking on these threads for ages, not an ex bot or anything, but have family in the mlm business.
Some of the shite I've seen their partners post is such complete shite it's starting to make me angry, lots of guilt inducing posts about not needing nursery for their babies, and how they're at the park which is empty because all the other parents are at work. Also terrible spelling Grin
For vulnerable parents of newborns especially it just seems nasty and manipulative.
Also lots of videos which involve saying a lot but not actually saying anything? Talking about how excited they are, and how amazing their 'teamies' are Confused but not actually saying why.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 18:11

Guys I'm in the middle of cooking dinner so I can't keep up with these posts but I will sit down later tonight and try and answer when I can read through properly.

cozietoesie · 23/02/2016 18:11

Could someone explain to me where the big sellers on Amazon, eBay and specific MLM shopping websites figure in this picture? I wouldn't like to assume, from lack of information, that they are simply pocketing the profit without doing all of this work that's been mentioned. It wouldn't make them sound like regular guys at all, would it?

Cubic charting is just a term I use to describe " being on track for ". I can't move anyone around in my back office. When they sign up, they sign up and that's it.
