I don't think that that was meant to sound critical in itself, Quinoa. I was just trying to get a picture of how much support people actually receive from the MLM they're involved with and I was shown some of the costs involved in real life. (I assume you had to pay your accountant for their services?)

I wonder if such costs are laid out for people when they join up? Smile

Not really, it's far more beneficial to work with someone and help them achieve success (whatever that may be to them) if someone buys a business and leaves it in the car I don't earn! If someone goes home and with my support earns well.... I earn too! How many do u think I would have to be recruiting if that paid the bills?? I recruit two people every month...... I get maybe 8-10 asking each month. I couldn't properly support 10 people every month so I keep it at 2

cozietoesie · 23/02/2016 19:22

....I swore I'd never do it again'....

I wonder what changed because to be forsworn is a serious matter in my book.

shadowplay · 23/02/2016 19:23

Chimp I will let Eye speak more comprehensively about the facts when it comes to churn, but the figures speak for themselves. Look at fl, they boast annual global revenue of $2.6b distributed through 9m distributors, which leaves a princely sum of $288 per distributor per annum.

We know that some selected people earn a decent wedge out of it, so when that's taken into account we talking about significant numbers of people pouring money into this scam and getting sweet fa back.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 19:25

We can't move people, if I decided to stop working my team would be supported by my sponsor. If I resigned my sponsor would inherit my team. We can't move people under different people

cozietoesie · 23/02/2016 19:25

Anyone care to clear my mind on that point about the sellers on the big commercial websites? I'd hate to be left with an impression that they've been awarded 'favourite son' positions to boost their income. Smile

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 19:28

Please remember something when you churn out these figures. Not everyone joins for a high income! Some are more than happy buying products for discount, earning a top up few hundred pounds. Some even come in for the social aspect, the confidence building or to be part of something. You will always have people join thinking it's easy even when u tell them it's not so you will always have people leave or stop. Those figures can't possibly be worked out accurately

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 19:29

What was your question? I haven't seen it

workingwithchimps · 23/02/2016 19:29

Shadow - I don't know about figures - I still maintain 90% is a high number and if this were the case, I would have thought it would be highlighted somehow - however if you have concrete evidence to back up then let me know - it does not effect me or the majority of my team - who wish to earn

Quinoa20 · 23/02/2016 19:29

Fair enough cosie Smile

Where's eyebrow bot? :)

bossbabebot · 23/02/2016 19:30

But Natasha you are saying it's not easy - when we have evidence of your colleagues saying it can be done in a couple of hours a week ... A couple of hours a week sounds easy to me !

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 19:30

I'd like to just point out I joined to earn £400 a month to keep me OFF benefits! I didn't plan on earning big income. Also I can assure you no one gets "picked" by the company and the homes we rent are paid for by us!

cozietoesie · 23/02/2016 19:31

So there are no accurate figures available from the MLM itself? I had received the distinct impression that some (at least) figures were being put out there as graven on stone tablets?

Powertotheparalai · 23/02/2016 19:34

Quinoa I agree.

Natasha I have another question.

A lot of the memes and the inspirational Facebook statuses and a big selling point for MLM companies are the freedom to work around your children and spend more time with them. Did you find that working for a MLM really enabled you to spend more time with your children? The MLMer I mentioned previously has left her children very regularly for success weekends and nights out with her team ect yet still boasts about spending all her time with her children and using it as a selling point for potential recruits. If you found this to not be the case (you found that actually you did have to sacrifice a fair amount of time with your children in order to work) do you still sell this idea to potential recruits?

Please note- there is absolutely nothing wrong with leaving your children to work. I recently became self employed thinking I could spend all my time with mine and found this is not the case. I do not judge working mothers or SAHP in the slightest

cozietoesie · 23/02/2016 19:38

My post at 18.44 expands on my query about the big commercial internet sellers if I recall. I would very much appreciate clarification on how the company website sellers fit into the overall picture.

PonyoLovesHam · 23/02/2016 19:39

Keepthe targeted is the right word. Especially when you're pregnant/with newborn, I was an emotional mess for a while with my first so vulnerable too!
I'd feel massively pissed off being targeted, they're so blatant about it too Angry

Lovewineandchocs · 23/02/2016 19:41

natasha
I had asked a couple of questions a few pages back. I'd be particularly interested in the one about success days if you get a minute to answer with the rate this thread's going lol Smile

ambler21 · 23/02/2016 19:42

And working I agree with your statement.
I still maintain 90% is a high number and if this were the case, I would have thought it would be highlighted somehow - however if you have concrete evidence to back up then let me know
The concrete evidence of how many people have signed up for your particular MLM scheme since its inception is exactly what we keep asking for.

It can be done in part time hours, some have to if they work full time. Time management and doing actual work in that time can absolutely be done. It depends what you want and how quickly. I know you have mentioned Emma Cooper a few times and although I don't know her well I do know that she states that was her choice to work that hard, she always is very clear as to how hard she worked but that doesn't mean it can't be worked part time too

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 19:50

It honestly depends on what you want. I had to earn immediately and as a single parent I had no choice but to work around my children. My mum lived with me and was able to child mind when I needed it. 18 months on I spend more time with my children than I ever have since they were born. We do have successful people who never sacrificed time with their children. It's a personal choice

Patzy85 · 23/02/2016 19:53

Natasha - how many people have left your downline/failed at making this work as a business and is it because they simply didn't work hard enough?

How many people make a six figure income in your downline?

How many CCs do you turnover personally each month on average, and how many does your downline achieve?

Do you feel that this is a business anyone can do or do you think that it is advertised as being easy simply to gain the initial CCs to boost the upline?

Do you feel that the products are at all overpriced?
