rayofhope great questions on encouragement of large spends on personal use. There are many videos of recruits being encouraged to 'be your own best customer' at large rallies, training events etc. so it can't be claimed that this is just encouraged by a small number of 'unethical' wayward uplines.

VegoDoll · 24/02/2016 10:58

Just dug out the disclosure statement, it says 833 dollars for the year but it's there in black and white. No one can argue that 833 dollars for a years work is more than shit. But there are variables to consider, most people don't do MLM full time and unfortunately most people who go into MLM do not have a clue about marketing. Could just those two variables influence earnings maybe? Not finger pointing, or blaming the victim. Just trying to add some balance that is all.

Maybe, if 833 dollars was what I had earned in the last year with my company I would be feeling pretty peeved, but because I haven't I guess feel detached about those figures, as I know they don't apply to me. But, I DO wish a lot more people in MLM earnt better.

My only issue is the volume required to earn a decent wage in some MLM's. In some companies, the volume needed even just to earn 12k a year is astronomical. And it takes time to build volume up too. Only now that I have a lot of experience, can I tell whether a compensation plan is difficult to earn with or not. I have come to the conclusion that some are definitely more harder to earn with than others.

Wow, so >99% of the company, on average, earn less than what most people would consider a reasonable wage. It's also interesting to note just how quickly some people seem to rise up through the ranks. I can't believe that their meteorical rise is through hard work, more likely they're the "chosen few" who are then paraded in front of the masses just to show how you're not really being screwed over good life could be.

sminkypink · 24/02/2016 11:14

I've been sent some Jamberry stats, now. There are 23 six figure income earners in Jamberry in the USA (that's over £71k in pounds). There are 119560 active consultants.
So, they have a 1 in 5198 chance of achieving that $100k income
In the UK, looking at available stats if you have a j.o.b. you have around a 1 in 20 chance of earning this much.
Think about it, not so amazing now, is it?

Patzy85 · 24/02/2016 11:16

The only way to succeed is to generally, (without being harsh to our bots here, I'm not saying it is how you personally operate) PUSH.

Push the product.
Push yourself on to the public.
Push you friends and family.
Push your downline.

I imagine that this in itself is quite alienating. People unfollow and unfriend. People avoid and lose touch. People laugh at the posts. People judge you for making the decision.

Say a bot posts a normal, rare, non-business post. They always get more interest than they do if they post a business related post. They must realise this is because most people aren't buying into it.

cozietoesie · 24/02/2016 11:17

Who does your 'compensation' come from, Vego?

Annie65 · 24/02/2016 11:17

Going back a few pages, can somebody pm me huns, who is casa bot, thanks huns.

Patzy85 · 24/02/2016 11:18

It's rather cringey to watch a friend host an online party where they have invited all their FB friends there is zero interaction, it MUST be incredibly disheartening.

sminkypink · 24/02/2016 11:20

One stat I'd love if we could figure out would be to add up the total number of mlm six figure earners in mlms in the UK.
According to the BBC, 545,000 people in the UK earn over £100k.
I expect the percentage of MLMers in this total is absolutely tiny.

cozietoesie · 24/02/2016 11:25

I'd be interested to know where distributors actually think their 'compensation' is coming from? Money doesn't just materialise out of thin air!

sminkypink · 24/02/2016 11:29

they're beginning to lay it on thick in the Jamberry group I'm in. Will get some screengrabs when I get a chance.
We've just been treated to the, 'newborn on the stage at the clapping and cheering event.' That's such an mlm stereotype isn't it. Apparently it's amazing.

pinkandstripey · 24/02/2016 11:42

Thanks for the commission info :) so how do you get promoted? I'm guessing that 1st promotion (from asst supervisor to supervisor?) is a simple recruit 5 people (or whatever)?? But after that? Do you need x amount of people at different levels?

I have 3 bots - one who made manager in about 3 months, has been doing it for a few years and is going to SA. One who doesn't seem to do much at all. And one of my oldest friends :( she's still in the omg this is amazing opportunity, but has done clean 9 several times (3? 4?) recently so at 100/pop is clearly making nothing :(

I'm fascinated by this, I'd love to ask my manager (or whatever she is these days) bot, but clearly would never get a straight answer!

Melaw21 · 24/02/2016 11:44

Ugh sminky I can cope with a lot of the cliche's but the ones exploiting the kids and the new mums gives me the rage... 😡

Melaw21 · 24/02/2016 11:45

Did you zoom in and see if the babies nails were wrapped? It wouldnt surprise me!

cozietoesie · 24/02/2016 11:47

How can you wrap a new baby's nails though? Leaving aside any other issues, there just isn't enough nail ?

sminkypink · 24/02/2016 11:51

they do a kids range but I don't know if it goes down to newborn

cozietoesie · 24/02/2016 11:52

They do a 'kid's range' ? Goodness.

trinitybleu · 24/02/2016 11:54

Hello again everyone. Remember when these threads were lighthearted?

Don't have time to read all of this in detail but have scan read and to clarify / remind:

  • We can't move people around the team - your sponsor is your sponsor for life.
  • We get NOTHING for signing someone up. You only start to earn commission on their sales (1%) when they have a team under them and are established. It's about supporting your team, not churning through sign ups.
  • You'll earn more by selling (20 - 30%) than recruiting.

And yes, I did my tax return, yes, I have paid my income tax on my profits, and yes, I am insured for business use on my car (cost me nothing). I'm still selling (and not to friends and family), I hold no stock, I have been to 0 training days and I have read no books. I work on Y on the train to my other job, so 2 days a week at 40 minutes per journey.

Lovewineandchocs · 24/02/2016 12:07

Hi again pink
It isn't the amount of people you recruit, it's the volume of case credits you and your team obtain (through retail, personal use and recruitment) You get 'promoted' to supervisor by your team doing 25ccs (roughly £5500 retail price) in 1 or 2 consecutive months, then assistant manager by doing 75ccs in that time frame and manager by doing 120ccs. Once you get to manager promotions are different-a senior manager needs to have 2 managers in their direct downline, a soaring manager needs 5 managers, and so it continues up. V confusing Smile

throwingpebbles · 24/02/2016 12:08

You can screw me if you like though chucking

My lovely bots if what you are doing is all so fine and dandy then why are you bothering to spend hours on here whimpering away about how we are meanies whilst providing no hard evidence to refute the real solid criticisms. If you were genuinely doing something legitimate you wouldn't feel the need to make thinly veiled threats and school boy insults because you would be able to produce lots of decent factual evidence.

Once again: why don't forever etc get their products medical licenses if they are the miracle cures they claim to be

And erm if you bots are as successful as you claim to be then why not buy a house instead of renting? I can't think of anyone I know on that level of income who would choose to rent rather than buy

I really do think we should come up with a list of questions that have not yet been answered and just post them in response to every post by a bot.

If your businesses were really successful and fine you would t even bother coming on here to argue! We get the odd ranty letter into my work claiming we are all crooks or something, we just ignore them as we know what we are doing is genuinely a high quality and important public service. It wouldn't even cross my mind to bother to engage with them.

cozietoesie · 24/02/2016 12:09

You're a shining example, trinity. Smile

I hope all your recruitees are in the same boat as you.

Eyespying · 24/02/2016 12:13

'We can't move people around the team - your sponsor is your sponsor for life.

Yet more unsubstantiated, scripted, 'MLM,' BS, babble and white noise. Conveniently, and predictably, this person ignores the fact that 'MLM' adherents have been offered commission payments on their own purchases, and on the purchases of their recruits, and on those of the recruits of their recruits, etc., ad infinitum.

Exorbitantly fixed-priced (and therefore, effectively-unsaleable) wampum products (often of a dubious pseudo-scientific nature) have been given in return for 'MLM' adherents' payments (based on their false expectation of future reward). In this way billions of dollars of unlawful losing investment payments has been, and continues to be laundered as lawful 'sales.'

'MLM' racketeers have been stealing from countless millions of ill-informed individuals around the globe in some of the most pernicious, and profitable, closed-market swindles, and related advance fee frauds, of all time.

Lovewineandchocs · 24/02/2016 12:15

Big news today in FLP here-a star bot has defected to Ariix-and apparently has taken most of their downline and busy trying to recruit from other people's downlines (quite successfully). FLP are FURIOUS! Lol Smile

Melaw21 · 24/02/2016 12:18

Well said throwing and and I would specifically like to reiterate your question about renting instead of buying, it is beyond daft to take all that (big income) money you have earned and throw it away on a rental?surely? Very odd... Unless you are just trying to create the 'illusion' of a lifestyle of course, but that just wouldnt be cricket would it? 🤔

Melaw21 · 24/02/2016 12:20

That wouldnt be 'taking a month off bot' per chance would it love ?? 🤔
