Dozy that is a very sad tale, first for your family member sucked in and the family on the outside. The chance of her making her millions is next to nothing, but the pull of it 'just being round the corner' is what keeps them in.

The extent to which she is going to climb higher is really concerning. Literally tens of posts every day - buy this, buy that, messaging about every detail of her so called amazing life it isn't. That little task alone must be so all consuming, thinking about posting on social media every hour of every flipping day. She is sucking even more vulnerable people in too. A lot of her 'network' she appears to be targeted are women who don't have money to lose, starting their maternity leave etc. etc.

The way they try to demonise any other career choice the standard 9-5 really bugs me, too.

These threads have really made me see that I'm not alone in feeling this way.

I just hope this whole bubble is burst & shown up for what it is soon.

Dozyoldtwonk - I've been trying to expose 'MLM' rackets, for the last 20 years. A lot of them are controlled by 'Mormons' and they they've passed countless millions of dollars to the 'Mormon Church.' You can imagine how well protected they are in the USA and particularly in Utah.

I'm very pleased that these threads have been able to help you.

Thinking you must be alone is a very common reaction for friends and relatives of gung-ho 'MLM' evangelists. I've been through this myself, and before the Internet.

Willdoitinaminute I've been having a look at the charity as well. I think it had a name change in 2013 but has actually been running since 2002. The founder is not a director or secretary of the charity/company. Will keep looking into it.

One of my FB friends has liked FL UK so their 'Success Day' post has been shared to my timeline. What a load of self congratulatory shite it is. Whoever is the lone wolf poster who said 'What a load of tosh!!!' well done. I wish I could but the fallout would be too great right now. I so want to say 'you paid for tickets, hotels and trains to attend this.' Because this isn't how it works in actual companies who value their employees. And FL reps are employees however they spin it.

When my employer invites me to a conference it's all paid for, including food and refreshments. I also get paid sick leave, holidays and bonuses. Oh and I get paid to go on training courses, I don't pay for the privilege. I also work flexibly, from home fairly regularly and could wear my pyjamas if I choose to. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I also don't work 15 hours a day or at weekends or whilst I'm on leave. I'm also very well paid based on my experience and qualifications.
