Bovnydazzlers I forgot to say that a hell of a lot of: attorneys, accountants, bankers, politicians, co-opted-academics, stock analysts, stock market investors, assorted useful idiots, airlines, hotel chains, conference centre, and stadium, owners, etc., have also made a packet out of 'MLM' rackets.

throwingpebbles · 11/02/2016 21:59

Oh and I rather enjoyed how this poster tries to tread a delicate line between making medical claims and not actually making medical claims ...

NB... My first attempt at starting up chats on other forums didn't go too well... I got banned for spamming after thirty minutes (I did say timeless vie was a parody!).

Onwards and upwards...

throwingpebbles · 11/02/2016 22:58

Has that vid been saved somewhere safe clarins

Powertotheparalai · 11/02/2016 23:37

Hii #hun #manhuns #teamies and #parslaiprincesses sorry I haven't made an appearance these last few threads. I'm been mad busy with my '10-15 hours per week' job that works around my family. So busy I had to #getridofthekids coops style!! It will totes be worth it once I've got my absolute inspiration who I am in total or of LP tattooed eyebrows. Eeeeeek literally squeezing with exciting. I'm just planning my goals for the week.... £14949393939 sales and £94983828384929299199 profit. Who would have though that two weeks ago I had an actual bullshit job with actual bullshit rights and benefits now I'm planning on being a trillionaire! No more negativity babes. I'm on it. I'm slaying 2016 like a total #bossbabe

RainOhJoyus · 11/02/2016 23:38

clarins that video is just beyond belief.
"With constant hard work your life can truely change" not the 15 hours a week you have to soend in hair and makeup just to post on Facebook.

I like the "you'll start earning 35% on products for personal use" erm, aren't I spending my money? And you have to keep up the 4cc of personal buying crap.

clarinsgirl · 11/02/2016 23:44

I haven't saved the video as I'm generally shite with such things. If someone a little more gifted could add it to the timeless vie repository that would be great.

DollyTwat · 11/02/2016 23:45

Who is going to buy it at the prices that include 45% profit just for the FL bots?
It must really only be worth about £1

flamebar · 12/02/2016 00:14

Ugh

I'd very much like to know how much the people who make the actual products (including eg raising the plants) are being paid and what their terms and conditions of employment are. I very much doubt that they're chosen to share in the 'experience' and 'lifestyle'.

Can anyone link to some genuine facts on those? They might give a decent indication of overall profit levels.

Patzy85 · 12/02/2016 00:26

Cozie - From what I understand that is what FL have the 'investors in people' gold award for, the ones with the JOBS (you know, those things distributors like to slate). However I read somewhere on these boards, possibly from eyespying, that the ones working in aloe farming are actually not treat very well at all.

I also recall someone on here saying they had done temp admin at FL HQ (again, paid work) and the checks they were sending out weren't for very much.

cozietoesie · 12/02/2016 00:45

I'm afraid, Patzy, that gaining IIP recognition is actually a walk in the park, particularly where you can control and influence your workforce - where it becomes a leisurely amble. I'd pretty well disregard that with any company.

Patzy85 · 12/02/2016 01:01

It's funny how much the 'business owners' like to mention it though, without realising that it has nothing to do with them or their training (that they must pay for themselves, of course).

cozietoesie · 12/02/2016 01:15

I guess it impresses people. Gives that nice aura of scrutiny, ( And you get a nice award to put on the CEO's bookcase. Wink)

AndrastesKnickerweasels · 12/02/2016 01:15

I'm another lurker, been watching for four threads now and figured that it was probably time to de-lurk.

My Herbalife botter used to be very "Rah-Rah," fed the goop to her three-year old, the whole nine yards. Then her fb went quiet. Absolutely silent, nothing for six weeks. Now she's baaaack...with a new fella, and a new...something. It's definitely some kind of MLM, all the hallmarks- success days, "inspo" days (I think these are the same as "sizzles," but around here if you say sizzle, people expect a sausage), "all expenses paid" getaways. Thing is, there's no name. No discernible product, no obvious marketing. Any ideas?

Her kid appears to be being looked after by the dad, or whichever friend is available, which is rather rich for someone who declared she was doing it "for my baby gurrrrl."

Also, has anyone else heard of "Jamberry?" It's recently popped up around here (Australia) and a large number of my friends are swooping around with wrapped nails. Nobody's signed up (yet? I consider my friends fairly intelligent...but you never know) but shit, it's all over my fb!

foragogogo · 12/02/2016 01:19

At the risk of upsetting the lighthearted brigade, can eyeso a brief summary of their background on MLM busting now that we are on thread 7/8? As I seem to remember it was extensive and interesting but can't remember the details. Might be a good opportunity for a recap on how this has developed now TV is hitting the bigtime.
