Thanks Eyes, that was really interesting to read.
I want to grab her and give her a good shake. Every time she posts on Fb it infuriates me that she is so brainwashed but I know that at the moment she is so deeply into this that she'd probably fall out with me before she'd listen to what I have to say.

xenu1 · 30/01/2016 21:25

rayofhope You are not alone and certainly not the only one of us to have been conned! It takes courage to admit it and by your example others will be warned. You can stand proud and I, for one, respect and admire your stance. (Really, you can have no idea how valuable your posts are.)

Mootpointer · 30/01/2016 21:26

lovewineandchocs It makes total sense. It's worrying how many have stories of physical or mental ill health or financial challenges. The enthusiasm & faux positivity are used as a lure.

Eyespying · 30/01/2016 21:27

Mootpointer The 'Ariix/Scientology' shill Bot, Tim Sales, is a former US Navy diver and bomb disposal specialist. He has lately specialised in recruiting the members of Veterans associations, because he can can join them himself and then pretend affinity with their members. Many Vetrans are isolated because they are physically disabled, and/or suffer from combat related psycological illnesses like PTSD and depression. Veterans also have substantial pensions and compensation pay-outs.

I have had victims of Tim Sales contacting my Blog. One guy suffering from PTSD estimated that he'd lost $50 000+ of his veteran's pension in 'MLM' rackets including 'Ariix.' He began to smell a rat, when Sales also tried to get him interested in taking 'Scientology courses.'

Eyespying · 30/01/2016 21:31

LadyLannister My pleasure. BTW That was my own Blog I sent you to.

You could try telling your friend that you don't want to argue with her, but you will always be there for her when she decides of her own accord to come out of 'Ariix.'

Annie65 · 30/01/2016 21:32

I really dont like the thought of any of my personal details being passed around. Especially phone numbers. Where does this information end up and why would anyone else want phone numbers? I really hope my Sil hasnt given any information out about me or the rest of my family. Could I find out about this or I will have to ask her straight out, and as for Fl threatening to take things further, well it does work both ways. I was aware of a WDYKL, but I just thought it was a list they kept themselves, not giving out personal information to any Tom,Dick and Tosser.Angry

LadyLannister · 30/01/2016 21:38

Thanks Eyes, your blog is fantastic - very informative.

Yes, I think I will try to take that approach with my friend ( and hope to God that her involvement in this is short lived ).

throwingpebbles · 30/01/2016 21:41

lovewine I think you have hit the nail on the head there.

There seems to be a pattern of focussing people at vulnerable points in their live - new mums; made redundant; newly single etc

They are all over the new mum groups Angry going on about not wanting to miss seeing their kids grow up etc

BlueThursday · 30/01/2016 21:42

Crikey I didn't look at the thread for a few days and I see there's a new thread 28 pages long!

I've only read the first few of this one so far but see there's a ton of deleted posts - what's happened Shock

eyes morally reprehensible. I know of those suffering with depression, ME, low esteem, crohns, chronic pain connected with arthritis or immune system disorders all drinking aloe gel and professing miraculous cures. Going cold turkey from their medication, driving long distances to attend trainings. All bad news

mummyof3girls25 · 30/01/2016 21:48

love wine and chocs I never understood why they tell you this business is able to fit in around your family yet their webinars always start around 7-8pm, my kids bedtime. They expect you to go to multiple business presentations of the same crap over and over because it is "motivating and positive" and they expect you to pay for training and success days that are on weekends which cuts into your family time with your kids! But apparently this business is brilliant for mums, they are so contradictory yet I doubt they even realise. Once they have been brainwashed they seem incapable of rational thinking and negativity must never exist around them. I got a lucky escape!

mummyof3girls25 · 30/01/2016 21:50

Another thing, my upline said she heard of a woman who was off her antidepressants within a short time of drinking the aloe gel. Then told me it might help me to come off my antidepressants. They sell it as a cure for anything they can think of!

penny1ane · 30/01/2016 21:56

Don't worry Annie65, the wdyk list is unique to every distributor. Your information is only any use to a distributor that knows you.
I don't ever remember details being shared.

Eyespying · 30/01/2016 22:00

mummyof3girls25 In my experience, whatever any version of the jargon-laced 'MLM' fairy story says, it is a complete inversion of quantifiable reality.

We are all engaged on these threads in decrypting another enigma code, but in the end, the 'MLM' enigma is painfully easy to decrypt.

Annie65 · 30/01/2016 22:04

Penny, thanks, I was getting really worked up then. Smile

penny1ane · 30/01/2016 22:09

I'll hold my hands up to this.
I used to promote the drinking gel for my Ibs.
I had trouble for years with ibs but after finding the foods that triggered it I managed to sort it.
I needed a story to promote the product. "Facts tell, stories sell" they told me.
So, I created my story. " for years I have been struggling with ibs but ever since I've been drinking the aloe, I've had no trouble since "
You might find that most people that have been cured are those that sell the products.

Apologies for lying. I guess it could be something to do with who you mix with.

I never did sell a bottle to cure Ibs. I'm a terrible liar!!!!

Mootpointer · 30/01/2016 22:14

annie65 be aware though, that distributor may talk to their upline about you when they're profiling, to identify a 'hot button'- something about you that they can use to 'encourage' you to join. Could be better health, more time with family, hate your job, need more money. New bots are mentored by their upline so can be very inexperienced, Experienced bots just want a prospect to sign up,

Eyespying · 30/01/2016 22:23

penny1ane

Don't blame yourself. You are certainly telling the whole truth now.

You can tell these Bots have been coached in what to sing.

So she Rex invented Medicinal Compound aloe vera
T'was efficacious in every case.

SimonLeBonOnAndOn · 30/01/2016 22:54

One of my boys is currently promoting gloop as a cure for anxiety. 😡

cozietoesie · 30/01/2016 22:56

Some of them have very limited product ranges. They have to make them multi-functional.

Mootpointer · 30/01/2016 22:56

penny1ane spend your 1.5ccs on these. You'll blend in just fineWink

Anyone familiar with the Data Protection Act? I'm wondering if the Information Commissioner might be interested. I'm just thinking if they are passing on information about contacts it might be a breach of the DPA? Not familiar with the act myself.

LikeBigBotsAndICannotLie · 30/01/2016 23:18

Well up here in Scotland, where I am in particular, there are no FLbots. Sadly, I would welcome that rare form of car crash posting that I have witnessed on here and TV's page. It is weird because I am loving the shit out of all the craziness but also very sad for the people suckered in by this and I finally signed up here after lurking for years in support of those frightened to step up and be heard. Don't be frightened by their shitty threats, they are posting info on public pages on the net, they don't have a leg to stand on. You have been brave, stand proud and hold your heads high, meveryone makes mistakes, learning from them is what counts.

I have 2 Uneek bots, a herbalife nut and two on Scentsy. Warned two specifically before joining, they didn't listen. All same demographics, mums getting ready to go back to work, mums with young kids who hate their jobs. These people that prey on folk like this are vultures. The worst.

Willdoitinaminute · 30/01/2016 23:19

Re data protection I think since they claim to be self employed the data they hold should not be shared. I imagine FL head office may have got round this in terms and conditions. You would have to check. To hold data you need to be registered and pay annual fee to DPA.
