PM'd you lastuseraccount123

OMG we're all actually like teamies hunz! We are literally nearly millionaires

sminkypink · 14/01/2016 20:02

Yeah, theres not much point in challenging, they're in too deep, they're not gonna listen. More important to try and warn off those considering getting involved.
You're right, they are victims too. What you don't see from the highlight reel is the debts, the ruined relationships and neglected kids. Shingles keeps posting up attacks on her ex then deleting. Sounds like hes none too pleased that shes uprooting the family to miles away.

Siwi · 14/01/2016 20:17

Yes Sminky, once they are brainwashed, criticism entrenches their faith.

lastuseraccount123 · 14/01/2016 20:18

it's really sad.

CS's day seems to have centred around her gym visit. Her sons accident got third or fourth billing. I am somewhat stunned that he didn't even receive his own post with pictures of glamorous mum and son with A&E staff being all grateful. She missed a good photo opportunity there. She's definitely slipping.

Crazybaglady · 14/01/2016 20:31

Fuck sake I've got 4 self assessments to complete and I'm spending my evening trying to come up with creative hash tags to compete with #werkinandtwerkin how do you beat that?

sminkypink · 14/01/2016 20:35

Accidents are too negative, I reckon.

Willdoitinaminute · 14/01/2016 20:50

"It's now 5pm, I'm getting ready to go & host a business launch for one of my new team, showcasing what we do to her family & friends - my husband is at home to sort the kids, but when he's not, I have a baby sitter - they are literally life savers for a few quid an hour"
Hmmmm! And I thought the whole point of FL was to free up time for family. My 8.45 to 4.30 job, with no evenings or weekends is looking better and better. Don't get time for gym but then I'm active all day so perhaps don't need it.

Crazybaglady · 14/01/2016 21:05

'The difference now is you're probably heading to work' how fucking snarky

stopfaffing · 14/01/2016 21:06

Lemonsole · 14/01/2016 21:09

Delurking... In morbid fascination for your bots and their activities, it constantly strikes me how similar the MLM bots' perception of what "work" is to how my children used to see "work" when they were tiny. The whole idea that just sitting with a laptop open is work, that working from home is the same thing as a day off (instead of that moment when you stifle the child's vomiting sounds from your work call) Likewise, their view of what management entails (sitting in a deckchair...) is invariably the view of somebody who has never come even close to a supervisory, let alone managerial position.

Keep up the good work.

acatcalledjohn · 14/01/2016 21:24

My bot posted a few days ago that she'd ordered the Clean 9.

Yesterday she announces she has to give up the gym due to lack of cost and can we recommend good work out DVDs.

My fingers were itching.

Which fucktard spends > £100 on a powdery cleanse FFS!

I like her too much to be a complete bitch to her. Then again, I've got to give her credit for not mentioning FLP to me at all, ever, since I told her not to fucking bother. Unlike many other bots she at least listened.

acatcalledjohn · 14/01/2016 21:25

Due to lack of cost? Hmm

FFS. Lack of funds.

Tobydogrocks · 14/01/2016 21:41

I've been lurking for some time now

I did have a flbot but I deleted her in disgust after she gleefully posted pictures of herself peddling her shit at a cancer support group Angry

A close friend of mine is now getting sucked into a MLM called It Works! I feel like screaming at her It Fucking Doesn't! She's prime fodder though, on maternity leave and desperate not to have to go back to work Sad

Anyway folks, keep up the good work

BlueThursday · 14/01/2016 22:44

Surely it's one fewer dumb arse Wink

M0biusgeek · 15/01/2016 07:13

melawe loved that King of Queens clip Grin

M0biusgeek · 15/01/2016 09:50

Just a thought... Bots like to use celebrity endorsements - so we should too! :-)

Perhaps doing a TV blog post specifically highlighting the clips we have found of Michael Scott in the American 'Office' , 'Jeremy's MLM bit in Peep Show' and Doug's 'Water Filter' thing in 'King of Queens' might prove fruitful in highlighting that even sitcoms take the piss out of this garbage!

These sitcoms are also likely to be programs the bots know of and it might help them see that that the people being pulled into these 'schemes' are widely regarded as gullible characters. Might be another way of hitting home if they have seen one (or all!) of these shows.

Penn & Teller also did an episode dedicated to MLM called 'easy money' on their show 'BULLSHIT' .. i watched it once but now can't a link that is available to watch in this country (according to YouTube) Sad

I have to say that the TV/BotWatch FB angle is a very effective way of raising initial awareness about MLM. I think fighting them on their own level, using their own terminology etc. is a genius in itself.

Finally, socksrock thanks for being so honest and posting about this thread being the reason you became aware of the truth before it was too late! Can I ask more specifically if there was a particular post that made you want to read more of the thread.. or how did you find us etc? Were you just casually browsing or specifically looking for info about MLM on google etc? x

GreenGoblin0 · 15/01/2016 10:23

**M0biusgeek good idea on the celeb endorsements.

and well done on the posts on CS's Facebook page. I know they just delete them but it's worthwhile posting I think as it clearly wound her up and shows she has something to hide. if it gets through to one bot it's worth it. Hasn't she been in FL for 5 years? surely she will have published accounts for her "six figure income creator" business?

sminkypink · 15/01/2016 10:35

if anyone has a spare tenner you can get full company reports online
the free reports you get don't report turnover and net profit you have to pay for that.

MObiusgeek

Try this link for Penn & Teller tearing the 'MLM' fairy story to pieces.

pyramidschemealert.org/naked-truth-penn-teller-nail-mlm/

You have made a very good point, because this episode of 'Boston Legal' probably did more to destroy the credibility of 'Scientology' than any media-coverage (before or since).

MLM-bot watch - LIGHTHEARTED - continued discussion of Juice + Forever Living Younique etc as scams with laughing
sminkypink · 15/01/2016 11:06

I would have a word with the organisers, tbh.

A local group near to me made leaflets to warn locals off giving money to UCKG 'church' xmas collection. We also lobbied London Transport to prevent them from doing collections. I wrote to Costco and Sainsburys and had them banned.
UCKG are a billionaire owned church from Brazil who decided that a small child - Anna Climbie - was possessed by the devil and as you know she ended up dead due to the inhumane abuse she suffered as a result of the abuse.
They expect all members/victims to hand over a 'tithe' of 10% of their income (even if they are in debt or unemployed). yet they still do street collections and aren't transparent about where the money is going.

I wonder if its worth a bit of direct action as needed. Make a leaflet and host it where it can be downloaded, printed off if needs be or just shared with people. We used to email it to supermarkets to stop the church money collectors from operating.

M0biusgeek · 15/01/2016 11:35

like a BEWARE OF 'MLM flyer? We could all have them in our handbags ready to pin right over any 'income opportunity' ones we see any given moment.

probably best to be more like:

BEWARE OF 'WORK FROM HOME INCOME OPPORTUNITIES'.
There IS income available, but only for 0.01% of the 'business owners'.

This title and subhead should be framed as a pyramid. haha

sminkypink · 15/01/2016 11:38

A leaflet to go on noticeboard. Maybe we need a name for our action group - Women Against MLM?

sparkly72 · 15/01/2016 11:52

My bot removed the post (asthma) and messaged me. In essence she admitted she had misread the article, however she talked about her own personal experience of using the products with a family member and how she has the backing of her own gp.
