Still continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have an MLM bot of your own then join us and share their claims and content.

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous threads here and here and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

I was linked to the TV FB page last night and then found myself here. Im a fairly long time MNetter now I guess. My daughter's step mum invited us over as she was desperate to show us something exciting, and having seen her posts for various MLMs over the years I was pretty sure what was coming.
Arbonne
She even tried to sign my daughter up, who is 15.
I did the smile and nod, and asked if I could photograph the sales contracts to read over at home before I made any decisions. I also sent her several links from people about MLM and Arbonne specifically (she was after Younique before) which she thanked me for, but Im not convinced it has gone in. She was claiming the £10K a month would be her thing, and that she was interested in opening it up in Hong Kong, where she has contacts. Funnily although she has links to that country they didnt seem very keen on her being a 'founder member' over there - guess someone else wants to use her to tap that market.
Anyway I have copies of all the Arbonne contracts and payment structures, and very complicated it looks too. And as with others you need to maintain a certain level of sales/recruitments per month or you dont get paid.
dont know about the legalities of posting them, but could send them to anyone who wants them

FloralYums · 29/12/2015 13:23

Acatcalledjohn- please drop me a line if you see anything in my group that you don't like. I feel the groups success is partly due to the fact that the recommendations come from real women - or carefully chosen companies that I collaborate with - and I try and come down ASAP in any stealth type selling

I don't even allow body shop or Neals yard consultants to flog their wares, in the interests of fairness. It's tricky to navigate really.

I am greatly enjoying Victoria sexton by the way. I'm almost inspired

DreamingOfTheBeach · 29/12/2015 16:06

Do the bots ever tell people how much they've been paid?
I know they are super fast at telling people how much EC has sold or how much they have turned over, but has anyone ever got a profit figure from them?
Has anyone asked? Because I'm so tempted to ask, under the guise of being interested in 'the opportunity'

sminkypink · 29/12/2015 16:21

No, they never do, they all wibble on about 'coaching six figure incomes' without giving any specifics and continue to fire photos of the Maldives at you.
They won't ever tell you their net profit, they might share their turnover (which, in MLM is meaningnless), I can think of a couple of instances where they'll tell you their earnings, but its not net profit. It never takes into account spending on successdays, personal cc spend, petrol calls, website coffees etc. But the truth lies in their company accounts and it can be an eye opener.

penny1ane · 29/12/2015 16:31

This is a post from one of my flp fb sponsored posts.
I don't know the rep personally but see some of their posts.

It really annoys me that they don't consider anyone's feelings. Not even their own downline that might be struggling.

Nobody commented on the post and I'm pretty sure it would have annoyed a few people.

On the other thread in this forum its described as an economic cult. I do think some of the showing off about wealth would even make Kim Kardashian wince.
They are like this bloke with his gold shirt. I bet he's an mlm shill and the shirt is actually knitted from Big penny wrappers out of him mams quality street.

sminkypink · 29/12/2015 17:11

whoops here he is!

Thank you for the explanation of CC. Smile I'm being really entertained by these threads- is that a bit cheeky?

AJFsmummy · 29/12/2015 19:51

Likeaboss - my bot has an "all expenses paid" trip to Greece in September too.....aka a bullschit few days on a success day where they all chat shit and lie.

Ugh my bot has just put "great and incredible day with my fellow beautiful business owners"

Fuck off you cult bastards. You don't own a business.

toldmywrath · 29/12/2015 20:03

I've noticed that they are all beautiful as well. So that's me out Wink

NickAngel · 29/12/2015 20:31

Hi, been following threads about MLm and FL on here for a while.
I must be really unusual or live a hermit existence as I know no one who is into FL. I have no Bot!
But... Have the products been passed to a real chemist to test and report on? I a huge fan of Ben Goldacre so wondered if there was actually any independent science testing or blind studies with any of the products?
Are there any male sellers or is it specifically aimed at 'mummies'?
I'm absolutely fascinated and appalled that people can be so naive....

Siwi · 29/12/2015 22:13

Nick, the men in fl tend to be partners of bots, from what I have read.

I have no bots either. Come and sit next to me.

Although I did find a card in the butchers.

LittleMissStubborn · 29/12/2015 22:48

After finding the stock photo for the rapeseed field, I was left wondering if barnbots (page 1) hot tub photo is a stock photo too. But I am having no joy.

Then again a lot of the photos could be stock photos - you rarely see front of people - just feet, or views or back profiles.

McNo · 29/12/2015 23:19

I've resorted to stalking bots pages, I live in a fairly rural area and I have found 4 on my immediate friends list. As mentioned earlier I was asked by one to join and so glad I didn't,

Some are definitely more 'brainwashed' than others but being such a small area I am going to watch and see which fails first Confused

sminkypink · 29/12/2015 23:36

They are fascinating aren't they? I like playing, 'spot the bullshit'.

Annie65 · 29/12/2015 23:40

One of my flbots has qualified for a "holiday" in Africa next April, with a credit card in her name with "loads of money"on it especially from FL. Bit confused there folks, dont you have to pay credit cards off? Wonder what the interest rate is from FL?Hmm

NettleTea · 29/12/2015 23:43

I thought it was interesting that both barnbot and the other one are both moving into the same house? Maybe thats how they are affording it - each renting a room like a luxury bedsit?
