Continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have a bot of your own then join us and share what they are saying!

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous bot watch thread and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

dylsmimi · 03/12/2015 13:49

Even the elf of the shelf has got involved - just seen a status on FB with the elf on the shelf drinking aloe juice!! "Naughty elf but it is full of energy so maybe he is clever after all" Hmm

Siwi · 03/12/2015 14:29

I have just had a random thought.

I think that drug dealers/smugglers fllow the mlm model.

Christmaspanties · 03/12/2015 14:42

The photo slideshow on the latest timelessvie blog post is too small to read on my phone screen. Looks like you've captured some fabulous photos there, could they be inserted into the post somehow at a bigger size?

Christmaspanties · 05/12/2015 19:30

Did I kill the thread? Sorry Sad

LittleMissStubborn · 05/12/2015 19:36

Its all be very quiet on the mom front. I do have a friend buying lots of younique though.

Bovnydazzler · 06/12/2015 05:16

It seems small town local reporters are braver about exposing (a little) of forever living cult than at national levels.

On a different note, my manager bit posted an oh so impressive €611 cheque on Facebook (why she would get a euro bank of Ireland cheque I'm not sure) as her Chairman's bonus. She spends a lot of time on FL (always posting about planning meetings, party launches, she got up at 3am to travel to Dave O'Connors brainwashing). I just doubt that that €611 cheque gives her much profit per hour and isn't that exciting an amount.

dylsmimi · 06/12/2015 07:28

My mlm bot's further upline 'manager' is on a cruise - the pictures make it seem that the company have the full cruise ship decked out I'm company colours - how can this be. I'm confused? Does it really mean they can afford to do this? Seemingly in a year?
Btw it doesn't make me want to buy more products as I just think I'm not paying inflated prices for someone to go on a cruise!!

LittleMissStubborn · 06/12/2015 08:18

The candle one does cruises. There is some debate if the 'trio's is free but they have to pay for training.

It isn't really a jolly though, there will be back to back seminars. Not exactly fun.

I know of someone fairly high up in the candles, they are very over pricedbought out of guilt so no surprise a few free holidays can be given away.

LittleMissStubborn · 06/12/2015 08:19

Trio's should be trips. The auto correct on my tablet has a mind of its own.

Tokelau · 06/12/2015 10:08

My bot has been to Emma Cooper's house recently. There are lots of pictures on Facebook of them all there in their onesies. Apparently it was all very inspiring.

Annie65 · 06/12/2015 11:53

I went to a body shop party last night. There was no recruiting, no hard selling, lots of bargains and I enjoyed it. Got a few xmas pressies. Thats what these parties should be like. They did do some aloe vera products so will do a price comparison with FL later. The party host did well out of it too, she got £100's worth of stuff for £30.Smile

Annie65 · 06/12/2015 12:30

From what Ive seen body shops aloe vera range is half the price of FL, you then get special offers on top of that, at the party there was 30% off products. Of course FL will say they arnt as good Wink

acatcalledjohn · 06/12/2015 17:39

Well, of course. The Body Shop stuff has not been stabilized and is therefore shit.

You get what you pay for Hmm

DreamingOfTheBeach · 07/12/2015 10:03

These clean 9 detox things are phasing me off now, I've just seen this from a rep after someone asked for advice following her diagnosis with fibromyalgia. And then another rep also junper on the thread, claiming she ran a wellness company, PM for details on how I can help Hmm (also no know as FL)

sminkypink · 07/12/2015 10:56

Well those are more fake claims. There is someone on nethuns who says her husband went into anaphylactic shock from the bee pollen tablets. Another FL bot said, ' you should only have take half a tablet'. It made me want to scream, NO NO NO . That they are only trained on brainwashing techniques and not the product is horrifying. They have no clue what they are selling. It can cause real harm.

LittleMissStubborn · 07/12/2015 22:40

The 'medical' advice is so worrying and often dangerous. It isn't a few candles that the worst thing to happen if used safely is that they smell a bit rubbish or a mascara making you look like you are wearing a dead spider FL/JP et al can have serious adverse effects on people's health.

sminkypink · 07/12/2015 22:50

It's illegal prescribing. I just read that news article linked above - what a bloody cheek she had! Doctors receptionist pushing aloe shite on the patients.
Two of the Facebook bots have been signing up victims at a Macmillan coffee morning, is nothing sacred?

LittleMissStubborn · 07/12/2015 23:23

Interesting newspaper article.

Annie65 · 08/12/2015 08:07

My SIL is really sucked into FL now, her mentor seems like a very ambitious woman and by the look of it would stamp on her own granny to get higher up the pyrimid. Her mum and partner have tried to talk to her about it but she will not listen. Ive told her mum its no use telling her as she will see her as being a negative hater. I think we may have lost her. What started out as a bit of a joke has ended up being very worrying and frightening. I really hate these stupid pyrimid schemes.Sad

rayofhope · 08/12/2015 09:43

I'm so sorry Annie what level is your SIL at in FL? When did she join? Most drop out before they even get to supervisor. I even know someone who got to Senior Manager (2 managers in her downline) and quit as it was just not working for her.

Annie65 · 08/12/2015 11:09

Rayofhope, not sure what position she is, I know she brought the business in a box so went straight to ass supervisor. Dont think she has hit manager yet as that would have been annouced. She has got a small downline though. She is off work at the moment on the sick due to childcare issues. She has 1 year old twins and is a prime target for FL. Luckily there is not too much spare money in the household, and I think her partner will put his foot down soon as she is spending money on these training days and books etc. She is making out she is able to spend time with her babies because of FL, but its because she is on the sick. I hope she sees the light like you did before it goes too far.Sad

Annie65 · 08/12/2015 11:10

She joined last April btw.

SocksRock · 08/12/2015 16:05

She should be careful - if her employer finds out she's working while on sick leave, there could be problems...
