Continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have a bot of your own then join us and share what they are saying!

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous bot watch thread and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

Does anyone live near enough to view?

sminkypink · 01/12/2015 21:41

That makes the castle thing even more bizarre, she deffo hosts training there as my bot goes there. Smoke, lights and mirrors....
I just typed Forever Living into pinterest. So many lies on there, if I submit them all to advertising standards it'll crash their server. Don't know where to begin.
Maybe its time to make a list of claims for aloe, there must be hundreds.

sminkypink · 01/12/2015 21:47

I think the most batshit one Ive found tonight is that it can help with fertility problems.

Annie65 · 01/12/2015 21:49

AJF, I enquired a couple of months ago and the estate agent said if I was interested in buying it they would get the tenants out in a months time, so there is no contract at all. It is still a mystery though. Its more of a meeting place for FLbots than a home.Hmm

sminkypink · 01/12/2015 21:52

The white range rover is leasehold and the castle is tenanted. Its like a Dreams:Shattered meme.

AJFsmummy · 01/12/2015 22:09

They should change the castle name to "schemeys folly bullschit"

lastuseraccount123 · 01/12/2015 22:37

if we could get any of that info in writing it would make a GREAT anti-FL meme....just sayin'

sminky good tip, I will go on there and add to the post about MLM lies on our website.

sminkypink · 01/12/2015 23:26

I'm gonna have a good try at a list: All from FL bots on Pinterest
Cures baldness
Reduces vets bills
Cures hangovers
Strengthens the blood vessels in your gums
Boosts the immune system
Increases metabolism
Strengthens the heart
Balances moods
Enhances mental clarity
Stops snoring
Promotes nutrient absorption
Cures headaches and migraines
Relieves tiredness
Relieves depression
Relieves arthritis, joint pain, rheoumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia ( can you spot a pattern?)
Cures sugar addiction
Horse medicine ( no I am not shitting you)
Removes red wine stains
The aloe gel is consumed by Posh Spice, Cheryl Cole, the rest of Girls Aloud and Minions ( thought it was bananas, but hey.
I'm tired of scrolling down now, but there are tons more. I just don't understand why they don't just sack all the docs in the NHS and get a load of FL #bossbabes in.
Still disappointed that cannot find any evidence that aloe will take the bins out.

Tokelau · 02/12/2015 00:03

Sminky it doesn't seem to help the FL bots with their spelling!

rayofhope · 02/12/2015 12:07

ambler21 getting 1500cc in one year opens them up to getting a chairmans bonus cheque at the global rally (next years is in South Africa) It's quite complicated but you have to do 4cc a month personal (retail and recruiting) to be paid on your team. This is so you don't just sit back recruit a couple of people and then do nothing. You only get paid your bonus when you do the 4cc. cc's from anyone in your team is included in your team total cc's.

You have to do 120cc over 2 months to get to manager. This can be achieved easily with 15 to 25 people in your team each doing their 4ccs (at least). But don't forget theres quite a large drop out so you always need to be recruiting.

To get 1500cc in a year, you have to do a certain about of open or new business (people in your team who are not manager yet) but you also have to develop managers below you too. But once anyone in your team hit manager you only get a % of their total cc's in your team total. This is to ensure you keep getting new people in your business. Expand your team, wide and deep.

Then the amount of your chairmans bonus cheque depends on how many managers you develop below you. The more managers in your team, the bigger the cheque. EC got about $33k last year but I expect hers to be a lot more this year. I don't know how much but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a few hundred thousand this year. I think she's developed a lot of managers who have all qualified for a chairmans bonus cheque too. Some of the top distributors do 15500 cc in a year!

xenu1 · 02/12/2015 12:33

Thanks rayofhope! The pitch from "Soaring Manager" Alison Woodley (at ) pushes personal consumption to her downline (as no-one really retails) and with luck she can get enough new distributors to purchase 4CC per month to enable her bonus, and also I imagine she prays that these downline distributors have enough credit to buy 4CC per month for the year so she gets the Chairmans Bonus. If they drop out or run out of borrowed money she loses as well.

But also in her pitch - 3mins 15secs in - she states that 1 CC is £141 wholesale/£200 retail. If as you say some top distributors do 15000CC per year that's £2.1million at wholesale! No wonder FL spring for a holiday in Mexico...

CheekySmile · 02/12/2015 12:40

So the TV website page was messaged a lot last night by someone trying to recruit members of our group to his MLM! Hilarious claims that this company will be like FB or Apple in the future, and that training only takes 20 minutes...

No selling?

rayofhope · 02/12/2015 13:01

xenu The top guys only need to do their 4cc per month (it's now £159 per cc) all the 15000cc come from them recruiting and get the newbies to do the same (2cc per new fbo) and the newbies doing at least 4cc per month too. If you have 3500 people in your downline that soon adds up (even if some of them are only doing 1cc per month)

sminkypink · 02/12/2015 13:06

xenu1 the benefits and bonuses are still pretty poor compared to what high flying self employed sales reps get in my trade (fashion). There were some millionaires made, but its quite rare, you'd be handling maybe £10 - £20 million of business for that. They would also be going to several conferences a year in flash resorts (all expenses paid) and not have the hassle of constant recruiting to deal with. Sure its a lot of driving, but they all work from home and they don't have to lie about having a castle!
Anyone interested in a real sales role can start by subscribing to The Grocer.
I think EC got there first/ is at the top of the pyramid, so theres probably not a cats chance in hell of anyone else replicating it as the market seems saturated to me? I wonder how long FL will last? I note Pampered Chef has just closed in the UK. My SIL was involved in that. Don't think was so bad, but it did get to point in our area that everyone had had a party/ was sick of it and no one wanted to host one again.

sminkypink · 02/12/2015 13:07

Automatic tree? Sounds like another word for pyramid!

Siwi · 02/12/2015 13:39

PC closes at end of year.

Let's bet on when fl closes. Par slap pampers for winner.

sminkypink · 02/12/2015 13:58

I give FL another year? Maybe two? My main FL Bot (one of EC's managers) has not been at it a year yet but this is her second MLM (she did the wraps MLM for a year). She was made a manager in September, I make that 10 months to get to that level, she seemed to get a lot further up the pyramid in that time, when doing the wraps, so I'm wondering how long before she jacks it in.
I mentioned before that someone I know is involved in Flavon Max. Looks like a Juice plus copycat. Comes from Poland, new to UK (website is awful, badly translated). Coloured powders £30 a jar. Makes same bullshit claims as the rest of them, daren't ask if it will take the bins out. Her sister does FL, it looks likes she's about to get sucked in by saladmaster. They are local to me, up the road in Walthamstow, they seem to deliberately target members of inner London religious groups, especially from ethnic minorities and with young families. She fits that profile and is very religious, I know her from a local religious study group.
This is the thing with these MLM companies. I note that obsessive religious types (fanatics?) spout exactly the same stuff as MLM bots and try to manipulate in the exact same way, for instance, trying to turn you away from a partner who doesn't practise. Cutting dead anyone who doesn't agree with your belief, refusing to even debate. It's just so familiar to me

ambler21 · 02/12/2015 17:23

Thanks rayofhope that's exactly the info I wanted. Cheers.

LittleMissStubborn · 02/12/2015 17:50

I've just had an unsolicited text asking me to join an Avon team. All I can think is that a school mum has passed my number on (she asked me last week if I was interested) I do have Avon but I don't think I have ever given her my number.

I feel like writing back that I don't have time to pee, let alone do Avon but it might be too far too the point.

Christmaspanties · 02/12/2015 18:30

A local lass I know who seems to join every MLM going 'to get the products cheaper' but fortunately doesn't seem to take it too seriously just gave my husband a Tropic Skin brochure to pass to me. Reading the back seems like its another MLM - anyone heard of Tropic?

LittleMissStubborn · 02/12/2015 18:37

The more I think about it the more annoyed I am. How dare the area manager pressurise people into handing over numbers. I didn't ask for to be contacted at all. It is really intrusive. I thought Avon was ok, I am really disappointed, I like some if their stuff as well. I am thinking of a suitable reply, but it is probably best just to ignore it.

lastuseraccount123 · 02/12/2015 18:57

i believe Tropic is an MLM.

acatcalledjohn · 02/12/2015 20:44

LittleMiss, just reply:

Never thought Avon would head in the same direction as that classic Pyramid aka FL. Your unsolicited text has lost Avon a customer and the positive word of mouth. Well done.

But then I can be a bit PA from time to time with things like this.

CheekySmile · 02/12/2015 21:32

Christmaspanties Tropic Skincare is an MLM set up by Alan Sugar and Susan Ma, one of The Apprentice candidates a few years back.
