Continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have a bot of your own then join us and share what they are saying!

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous bot watch thread and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

Here is another good link davidjwbailey.com/2014/07/04/forever_living_scam/

Does anyone know what nu skin is? Had a few people trying to sell that lately

lazycoo · 28/11/2015 18:03

So cosmopolitan have recommended a FL product. Here is the link for anyone who can take the time in the comments section to point out they're also endorsing a system designed to exploit and impoverish its sales force.

I have just removed myself from a friend's FB launch-party-for-nail-wraps group. I was really pleased to see her back on FB recently (she lives abroad and has previously removed herself from FB when she's fostered children) and I am a bit disappointed - and also a bit sorry that I put her back in touch with another mutual friend on FB. FFS!

IAmNotDarling · 29/11/2015 16:25

Saw a FL Bot's stall at an Xmas market today. Lots of products on the stall but zero interest in the 30 mins I was there.

Tiredemma · 30/11/2015 07:42

IAM I was also at an Xmas Fayre. The large void area around the FL stall was quite striking.

sminkypink · 30/11/2015 08:27

I've noticed how many of the super duper platinum FL bots seem to either be members of or being stalked by victims members of the empower network. Which is a crappy mlm where the product is merely training you to fail attempt to make money out of a blog. Looks as if it can be combined with your existing scam business. The referral/payment system make Younique's payment system look simple. It seems that they expect you to invest $5000 in the scam, and for that you get SEO, affiliate marketing and web training, all stuff you could get for free online. They even make you use their blogging platform, so if you stop paying, they take down your blog. Blackmail or what? The empower bots are even more annoying, some of their instagrams make me want to hurl. They keep popping up on my FL bots Instagram feed ( probably because Facebook has banned Empower network for spamming) and they say stuff like, 'Inspiring content, well done!' They have far more of a hashtag problem than my FL Bot does. #boreoff #thatsnotyourcar #stockshotredortphoto. On the hastag front, I wondered what happened when a mate came over all hashtaggy, it's because she was failing selling FL. One of my other friends, a well known fashion blogger who does make a living at it, I don't think she's ever posted a single inspirational meme or used a hashtag. Ever. #hashtagmeansstayaway

How much is 1 cc in English Sterling? I thought it was £132 but according to one of my FL bots its $132. My SIL is still cracking away with FL, she went very defensive with her Mum, when she dared to ask how much money she had actually earned. Sad

sminkypink · 30/11/2015 11:19

Never mind, tomorrow she'll be a 'global business mentor', or 'a success stylist', she'll ditch her surname for a the word, 'management' it's laughable isn't it? The 'training days' where they are basically trying to train you to wear your friends down. Its opposite land to real business, I have a client who has juat sacked an employee for ordering too much production, whereas in FL you have to over order to stay in 'business'. Such a morbid fascination with the whole thing, it's totally batshit, that's what it is.

LittleMissStubborn · 30/11/2015 12:27

A FL cc I believe is around £56

Annie65 · 30/11/2015 13:09

Thank you littlemiss, that makes sense why they try to plug the c9's, each one they sell means 2 cc's.

rayofhope · 30/11/2015 13:31

1cc is £159 wholesale and a C9 is about 0.5CC

Annie65 · 30/11/2015 13:56

Thanks rayofhope, so one c9 is only half a cc. Good grief they really have to work hard. Im glad you got out ray, it gives hope for my SIL. Smile

www.empowernetwork.com/

found it.

lastuseraccount123 · 30/11/2015 15:34

what a load of bollocks. www.empowernetwork.com/viral-blogging-system.php

empower network is an 'authority site"? um no I don't think so. It does not cost thousands of dollars to get keywords information - you can do it for free on google. but google ranks searches more on quality than keywords now anyway.

Everything else they are claiming is so spesh you can get on a perfectly normal blogging site like wordpress or blogger.

"viral sharing muscle" - utter bs.

"viral commenting" - i really wonder if their employees do this? you can't make people comment

acatcalledjohn · 30/11/2015 15:53

I saw my friend the FL bot at a party this weekend. Not a peep about FL, though I did notice she has FL stickers on her car now.

Like I have said before, I do really rate her as a person and I'm guessing she knows not to mention the topic to me. We had a lovely night to be honest and it was nice to catch up with her. So bots can be accepting, it appears...

Christmaspanties · 30/11/2015 17:25

Ha ha I tried opening that empowernetwork website on my phone at work (school) earlier and its a blocked site! Our network is pretty laid back so it must bad for them to block it!

stopfaffing · 30/11/2015 17:44

last, this rings a bell with me. I am sure the eye posted a youtube vid of some woman in USA who started one of these. You're right, you can do the same thing youself for nothing Sad.

Briefly reading through the Terms and Conditions I see that there is a refund policy, cut and pasted below:-

*Actions to be completed by the member to be considered for a full refund after a 36-month period:

  1. Watch all Level UP sequence videos;
  2. Watch all 8 Core Commitment videos;
  3. Own Kalatu Premium for the full 36 months;
  4. Own Inner Circle for the full 36 months;
  5. Do the entire 21-Day Blogging Challenge monthly for 36-months;
  6. Get 2 daily mobile exposures for 36-months; and
  7. Complete the Compliance Training*

Here are some of the monthly charges:-

*1. Kalatu Basic - $25/month

  1. Kalatu Premium - $72/month
  2. Media Hosting - $25/month
  3. Inner Circle - $100/month*

There is also the Affiliate Programme $19.95/month.

I think it would be wise to work out exactly how much it would cost to do the 36 month full refund if it doesn't work programme. Thousands of dollars Shock.

yes it's an incredible rip-off faff they are clearly just taking advantage of the average person's naivete about running a website.

the irony is google et al are trying to weed out manipulators of search results like this. you can pay for google ads on web searches, but evidence shows people ignore anything that is paid for and click on the natural top search results.

lastuseraccount123 · 30/11/2015 18:43

which is good news for us/ Timeless vie Grin

I have been doing a bit of SEO on the TV blog, but haven't done as much as I need to yet. It's a work in progress.

Does anyone feel up to getting TV a wikipedia entry? or writing one for us?

sminkypink · 30/11/2015 19:41

14k? Not a six figure income from home, is it? I wonder how much unsold product she has? Some of them are piled out, no wonder there is tons of the stuff on ebay. Anyway, I've had a reply from the advertising standards authority, they are interested in taking my complaints about FL forward (have complained about false claims made on FL bots social media account pages). So share your bullshit claims! I found one today that says if you apply aloe to your scalp as a mask it makes your hair grow faster. If only they would claim it takes the bins out, too, they might be onto something!

lastuseraccount123 · 30/11/2015 19:44
