Continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have a bot of your own then join us and share what they are saying!

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous bot watch thread and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

Grin very unMN hugs and xx for you lot, you're hilarious and fab. cat, predictably, your response is leagues ahead of mine which went along the lines of 'WTF? Aye, GTF.' I wish I was more eloquent!

acatcalledjohn · 19/11/2015 21:03

I didn't think it that eloquent, what with my sarky use of hashtags.

ForeverLivingMyArse · 19/11/2015 22:39

To be fair the bot that posted seems to know it's bull but feels she doesn't have many other options to earn an income from home.

Annie65 · 19/11/2015 22:43

Found a new FLbot who is trying sooo hard not to be negative, that she stopped listening to the news when she started her business. (Sounds just like a book Ive read recently ). Anyway, now she doesnt know whether to watch the news , because of the recent atrocities , and is asking her fellow FLbots what she should do. People cannot walk about with blinkers on. We have been given free-will for a reason, its what makes us Human. I know we live in very frightening times, but I find people who ignore what goes on around themselves and around the world more frightening. There are good things that happen too, such as the solidarity of good and gracious people, who do not ignore, but help anyway they can, other people. Sorry about this rant, but I think knowledge is safer than ignorance.Hmm

dylsmimi · 20/11/2015 07:22

Is the 'it works' / wrap right the same scheme as forever living? There seems to be lots of products - wraps, supplements etc and lots of diamond, ruby presidents and my friend is involved though she says she doesn't have targets set for her as a minimum each month she just sets her own targets. I'm a bit worried about it and not sure what if anything j can say Sad

lazycoo · 20/11/2015 08:28

Dyls I haven't said anything to my bots until they've started targeting me. I haven't known how to bring it up. Once approached I've said I think MLM is an unethical and unsustainable business model so I'm not interested. It would be fair enough to just say 'not interested' but I feel I owe it to the bots to tell them why.

CandyCaneCottage · 20/11/2015 08:47

Glad I found this and here are s couple from one of my bots, it's here dream board she currently has 0 of them things and then the next where she says a mars bar gives you more energy than a fruit salad, forgets to mention that all that fruit probably has more calories and sugar

And another about the benefits of juice plus, the funny thing is one is highly educated and the other was saying that she fired one (out of 5) of her runners at a stock trader and was looking for a new one starting salary of about £60k and then by the end of the third year about £150k. So no idea why she would be peddling juice plus if her 5 runners are meant to be earning 60-150k each. What must she be on?

Sorry "meant " to be earning

CandyCaneCottage · 20/11/2015 09:07

Last post for a while because I think I'm kinda ranting now but I go on my facebook maybe once a day (no point as nobody interacts with me ) and I think for 500+ friends my timeline is extremely empty just shit posts from old groups I joined when I was younger, well trying to find them pics my Facebook newsfeed is thankfully so downsized it's just constant images id say 5-10+ a day easy from fake progress pics, a ridiculous amount of " motivation"

CandyCaneCottage · 20/11/2015 09:09

Pressed send too soon sorry for being a nuisance, but yeah motivational images, and other juice crap

dylsmimi · 20/11/2015 09:39

Thanks lazycooy friend seems to be giving up on another business that was fairly well established and appeared to be going well all in persuit of this mlm scheme. I'm just worried she will regret it and then loose the other business and there is no get rich quick schemes! But at the minute I don't say anything so feel completely unsupportive and like a bad friend Sad

CheekySmile · 20/11/2015 09:54

Wow candy that's quite a list of claims from your JPbot. Less prescriptions? Improves children's behaviour? I'd love to get in touch with him/her and ask for peer-reviewed proof that the claims are true.

And rant away, that's what this thread is for!!

rayofhope · 20/11/2015 10:21

dylsmimi it works is mlm aswell. I have a friend doing it too.

There's also actiderm. I think they have to do something like £500 of sales in a month before they get their bonus.

And a new one on the scene is called TLC - Total Life Changes, it's based around tea and coffee. Think they're meant to help you lose weight.

Juice plus are doing some trial with children about improving their immune system (or something like that) They approach people about it, asking if their child would like to take part, that it would be good for their child but then here's the catch...... If you want your child in the free trial you have to sign up to JP.

The more I read up on these companies the more cross I'm getting about it all. But I tell you what I'm so much happier being out of it, my hubby has noticed such a difference in me. I'm not under any pressure and I'm spending far more time with my children rather than being on my phone. (nap time atm)

stopfaffing · 20/11/2015 10:58

candy, please don't leave us, come here whenever you want to rant, it's better out than in Smile.

shirleyknotanotherbot · 20/11/2015 17:01

So I've been a bit naughty and accepted an invitation for a catch up over a cuppa Brew

sminkypink · 20/11/2015 17:26

My FL bot is going to the brainwashing circlejerkGlobal Rally. The huns/hunis have taken screaming selfies said what an amazing opportunity this is for hun/huni.
Also been thinking about how the lack of moderation on Facebook means it's the perfect platform for these crash diets, if you paid for an ad in the press and made claims like that you'd be in trouble with the ASA. Now we have Facebook we can train MLM bots to make these spurious claims with no comeback for the company. Yay for snakeoil.

acatcalledjohn · 20/11/2015 17:27

Ooh, when will that be? You do realise you are now totally obliged to report back in which case you can have wine] instead of brew]

sminkypink · 20/11/2015 17:28

whoops haven't got the hang of strike throughs on here!

acatcalledjohn · 20/11/2015 17:29

Brainwashing circlejerk Grin

That could explain all the buzzing they feel afterwards.

sminkypink · 20/11/2015 17:29

Its next year! Will they still be MLMing or will it have all imploded by then?
