I signed onto my internet banking and managed to filter it so it only the transactions they were asking about (payments to nursery) were showing I am with Nationwide - I don't know if other online banking accounts let you do this? I used permanent marker to scratch out my sort code etc as I sent off all my details, name, address dob etc to a massive company with thousands of employees Confused and to be honest it sounds like a shambles so I don't trust them at all.
When I got my reply they have made mistakes on my claim. More waiting. It's been a nightmare.

Morgan97 · 02/03/2015 12:16

Thank you,I'm not sure if I can filter it but ill try,I've blanked out my account num n sort code but I've left the last two digits on there still reluctant to send them, might even blank out my name n address too I've enough to worry about without worrying about people stealing my identity too. You're right it's a total shambles. When I first rang they said not to bother with my bank statements then when I rang today they lied about when they received my receipts then tell me to send bank statements I'm so tired but thank you for your help

cowshindtail · 02/03/2015 14:42

Morgan97 you asked how soon I got the decision. They received my paperwork on 3/2/2015 and they sent it back on 5/2/2015 minus a set of bank statements, but I received it 13/2/2015.The letter telling me I am innocent was sent on 11/2/2015.My letters of complaint to Concentrix and Hmrc were received by them on the 25th and 26th of Feb. No answer to either yet.I have also contacted my MP who wants a lot of paperwork-so more photocopying.I don't know whether that will be a waste of time as he is a Conservative.

Karo3161 · 02/03/2015 14:44

As ever vulnerable people get caught up in these phishing exercises. I am fortunate to have good family support and able to speak up for myself - so many are not - and it still got me in a worried state.

It would be good to know that those people and companies that evade millions in tax are subject to the same scrutiny. Single parents are easy prey and if a few end up ill or worse as a result of these letters I don't suppose anyone in power will lose any sleep - they're just collatoral damage.

Morgan97 · 02/03/2015 15:00

Thanks cowshindtail,HMRC are useless, phoned as soon as I got my letter guy on phone says no don't sent statements, was reluctant to give his name until I pushed for it, sent my receipts then rang today spoke to a nice lady (she gave me her full name too) who told me yes send bank statement and a letter from the person who lives at the same address stating I live here and contribute to bill etc, said they'd give me till the 15 th march,so more worry more messing about at post office then more waiting its never ending.no reply from my mp or anyone else I've emailed it's a bloody shambles.

Morgan97 · 02/03/2015 15:04

Karo3161 you have a good point there, bet all the bankers that are on over inflated salaries don't lose much sleep eith, makes me so cross I'm usually a strong person but this is pushing me to my limit. I know I'm not the only one going through this but I feel so alone sometime can't think of anything else it's awful how they can do this

ceeburke · 04/03/2015 05:22

Please how long did it take to receive your documents back, l sent mine almost 3-4 weeks ago and they said there is a delay in returning and that they sent mine back almost 2 weeks tommorow.

Katy69 · 04/03/2015 07:51

I received my documents back after 11 days . Been waiting three weeks for my answer . My payments are going in as normal . Don't know how much longer I can wait. I know there is a delay . I too am very angry at this whole investigation and how it's been handled . It's a stressful situation to be in , I wait up nervously every Sunday night to check to see if my payment has went in on the Monday . It's awful to feel like this every Sunday night . The worry .it's unfair ! Hope I don't have to wait too long now . I've nothing to hide . I had the " evidence there may be another adult " letter . There was no name just a "may " . Has anybody had the name of the suspected adult actually writen on the letter ? Btw I have been trying to call . On hold for3/4 hour once . I dropped the line and gave up .

Hunnybunn · 04/03/2015 17:14

I sent my paperwork in on 29th jan and had my documents back yesterday with the letter saying we will be in touch about your claim soon. Then today I had a letter from tax credits saying change of my partners working hours is now 29 hours a week! I haven't changed this it has always been 33! It says 33 on our last award notice and on the stupid contracts we sent in! So why have they changed this? No other payments have stopped all still going in the same, should I phone tax credits and say they have changed it by mistake or wait for the concentric letter to come through which will hopefully say what and why they have hanged the working hours. The only thing I can think of is up till June last year he was 18 hours and then since then 33 hours everything was updated and notified and recorded last June, maybe because they wanted payslips from March to dec 2014 they have averaged the hours out? But this still means the contracted hours he works would b wrong on the award notice, help I'm confused and worried

Nicola196847 · 04/03/2015 19:37

i still havent received my decision notice from concentrix but on arriving home today i have received a self assessment late tax return penalty notice for the previous tenant i wonder if this is the so called adult or partner i am supposed to be living with .

EternalBeauPlate · 04/03/2015 21:49

I have just realised that for the past 2 weeks they have paid me the wrong amount (I actually spoke to someone before the second payment who acknowledged it was wrong). I really don't know what to do now.

Nooster · 05/03/2015 10:50

I got one of these letters in January accusing me of living with my boy's dad. (split up 7 years ago, I moved out, he is still in old house). This is my house, my mortgage and I pay for everything.

My original letter came around 10th Jan, sent everything off recorded in the next couple of days and it was delivered. I harassed them with phone calls as parcel was showing as delivered - asking for an update as was worried payments would stop. When they kept saying it could be in the system I copied everything and sent again, By this time I had paid for my exes land registry document at old house to prove he lived there and added that too. As a plonker, he refiused to provide me with a bill or anything to prove his address.

I got my second lot of documents (all copies back on Tuesday 3/3) and called them. They advised that no amendment would be made to my award. Good news for me!

I then asked where all my first lot of documents were as mortgage statement, bank statements, all bills, all originals were all in there and they advised they'd set up an investigation to find out where these were. Bloody marvellous, very useless.

Listened to the radio broadcast and it's very interesting, Will all their spy powers surely there was no need for all of those private and personal documents?? That now they seem to have lost.....

Muppets; I expect another investigation soon, funny how they seem to target the people who are honest but miss the people fiddling the system.

Pinkielady2015 · 05/03/2015 14:17

Recieved my documents back today after sending them on Friday 13th Feb so took 14 working days to send them back to me. Now just waiting on a decision letter, my payments havent stopped. So just gonna wait but im not worried as i aint got nothinh to hide :). Good luck everyone try not to worry x

Katy69 · 05/03/2015 14:45

Can't help but worry. , has anybody's payments actually stopped ?

EternalBeauPlate · 05/03/2015 17:18

Mine didn't stop but are wrong.

Hunnybunn · 05/03/2015 17:23

I've had a letter from tax credits not a reply from concentric to say my partners hours have changed!! They have t though!

Hunnybunn · 05/03/2015 17:24

Haven't

EternalBeauPlate · 06/03/2015 12:21

I have been on the phone to them again today. My payments were wrong and I phoned to tell them. They have NO record on the system of my last phonecall even though it was just a few days ago!
I have told them by phone and by letters that my husband is employed not self employed and (they have the correct income) they still haven't updated it.
Worried sick again now.

Pinkkk32 · 06/03/2015 16:10

I also received the same letter saying that someone is living with me back in January. I contacted them and on closer inspection the national insurance number wasn't mine nor was the case number. After going through security checks etc they said there had been an account opened in September which wasn't me. My address was still my mothers and I hadn't changed to my new address as I had moved out from my mums in May 2014 so all this got updated but as I had moved out before this account had opened the guy said it shouldn't really matter. I had to send all bills, rental agreement and bank statements but was only told to send last two months. Sent it all off received them back on Tuesday this week. Received the same letter again today that there was evidence someone living with me and told to send everything again! So I've contacted them today and they said it is just bank statements they need and they need more than the two months I previously sent. Why not say that in the first place!
Also they want proof of child matienence. Well their dad pays for them but directly to them I.e when he has them, football fees, spendy money and that is our arrangement which we are happy with. I can only think they are asking for more statements as on the ones I sent there were bank payments to my Ex but this is the thing. If there is anything the kids need or something needs paying for football and it's an expensive payout etc we do split the bill which we always have so yeah there are payments from me to my ex but that isn't a crime surely with this internet banking being so modern I'm not the only person who transfers money to a family member or friend. I've ordered the statements and will send them but I don't see how it proves I'm single. Hopefully this will be sorted out as I don't want to bring my Ex into it he has his own life and we are just about getting on.

Morgan97 · 06/03/2015 16:14

Got my letter 9th feb rang and was told no need to send bank statements just receipts so sent them off were signed for on 12th feb, rang on 2nd march got through after two hours of trying, spoke to helpful lady who said yes I do need to send bank statements and I have till 15th march, told me they received my receipts on 19th feb, very strange, sent bank statements with certain details blanked out they were signed on 12th now realized forgot to send savings account statement not sure to wait or send it.this is disgraceful I can't believe so many people have had so many problems about this situation,I'm sure many of you are having sleepless night and have put your lives on hold. Incidentally has anyone heard anything from their MP yet I haven't.

cowshindtail · 06/03/2015 17:01

My MP wanted copies of all the letters to and from Concentrix which I dropped through their door yesterday. Still not heard anything from HMRC or Concentrix-they received complaint letters from me on 25 and 26 of last month. It maybe that they hand out £50 to the simple cases who have just been very upset by being wrongly accused, but since they have lost my bank statements they maybe realise I can't be fobbed off so easily-or cheaply. I'm not intending to give up-worry and lost sleep has been replaced by anger at the injustice and incompetence.

Pinkkk32 · 06/03/2015 17:19

I really wonder if they just want to see if the amount you earned is correct. They can see from my bills, rental agreement that I am single and all they are still asking for is more evidence from my bank accounts. That to me wouldn't prove if I was single. I've nothing to hide they can have the statements but I do agree it is a personal intrusion.

Katy69 · 06/03/2015 18:12

Pinkkk32 you mentioned they asked you to send child maintenece proof , this is wrong. CM payments from ex partners are classesd as disregarded income ! It's nothing to do with them. They asked me too for that proof and I clearly explained to them that it's disregarded so they are not getting that information from me. What a cheek they have. Looks like they haven't got a clue what they are doing !

Nicola196847 · 06/03/2015 18:13

Had my reply today after sending my documents on the 14th of jan, says i have reviewed your information you gave us and do not need to amend your award , what award i am not in receipt of tax credits and i told them that in my letter , at least its all over with now , hope everyone else gets on ok too .

Temporaryanonymity · 06/03/2015 18:15

I've had a letter from them, but mine is about them disputing the amount I pay for childcare. It's a grand sum of £38 a week.
