Don't like the idea that some company has all my bank account details and now are filing them that does not seem right at all .that's my account number and sort code enough for anyone to access my account .

EternalBeauPlate · 17/02/2015 19:33

Has anyone had a letter directly from HMRC NOT Concentrix that is asking for the same information - payslips, proof of childcare or partner living with them etc?
If anyone else has does it mean something different?
So confused! Confused

ccbb1 · 17/02/2015 19:45

I did few years ago .have you recently had one .maybe it's because concentric now have so much to get through they can't cope so now the job back with the people who should be doing it in first place .

Morgan97 · 17/02/2015 21:03

Eternalbeauplate,my letter was from HMRC,the wording seems to be similar to those who received their letters from Concentrix. I also had the same letter 3 years ago and was lucky enough to actually speak to the person who signed the letter,I explained my situation then I sent receipts off as requested, heard nothing for about 2 months then received everything back, never heard anything since, until my letter just over a week ago,so I'm now doing it all again, worried cant eat or sleep properly same as before and wondering how on earth I will be able to pay anything back if they decide I'm lying or I haven't sent enough proof. It's awful feeling like this,I'm trying to be positive but it's not easy.

ccbb1 · 17/02/2015 22:10

Morgan .what was the wording on your letter this time ?

Katy69 · 18/02/2015 09:49

Does anybody know the average waiting time for returned documents . I sent mine last week recorded delivery. Was recieved 9th feb .i have two bank accounts and the bank only sent me one bank accounts worth by mistake. . So thats what I snet to concentrix . Just received the second bank account today ! Should I just hang on to them ? Or should I send them also ? Don't really see what it can prove anyway. . Having to pay fior more postage etc ! At the end of the day your tax credits can only change if they can prove that anither adult is living with you . How can they prove this ??? Definitely scanning bank statements doesn't ! If they think that somebody is living with you we'll surely you will have to change your tax credits application form , put the "names" person on the form . They have to get information , salary Etc from the alleged adult in order to calculate your payment ! So if we really do not have an Another adult at the address. Who's name are you meant to put ! lol

Morgan97 · 18/02/2015 11:22

Hi ccbb1 the wording is dear miss blah blah,we need to talk to you about weather you are living with a partner you claim tax credits as a single person but we have evidence another adult mr blah blah is living with you if you are married etc etc you must make a joint claim.you need to phone us so we can talk about your circumstances. I rang told them my circumstances they asked me to send the receipts but if it wasn't enough evidence that I was financially independent then tax credits will stop. I'm going to wait til next Friday and if not heard anything will ring them.

Karo3161 · 18/02/2015 12:24

Just chased mine as they signed for the documents two weeks ago and not heard anything. A recorded message is now saying it takes up to 28 days to return documents and advise re a decision and if I am within that timeframe to accept their apologies for the delay. Sleepin at night is overrated anyway!

Morgan97 · 18/02/2015 12:38

That's bad Karo3161,I wonder what happens if you're not within that time frame! Seems to me too many letters like this are sent at the same time yet not enough people to deal with the replies, absolutely crazy system. My letter was posted on the 11th feb, received and signed for on the 12th feb and so the worry and waiting continues.

Annoyed385 · 18/02/2015 22:57

Hi people . I still have not recived my documents or one letter since sending them in and them being recived on 26th jan . They have had them for 23 days ... Not returned a thing . I rang them to make sure they had received them and if there was a update ( which everything was as normal and no change to my award as I said in previous post) but where are my things ?? ??? Or some sort of letter ? Acknowledging they have them ? Or letting me know everything is fine ? Please for those who are sat worrying and waiting , just pick up the phone and ask . ... Although mines not changed im now worrying about where my documents are ? I think more fraud will be created , not stopped . Anyone else not recived anything at all ?

Karo3161 · 19/02/2015 18:51

Had an interesting day today - received all, my documents back (by signed delivery) with a letter dated 6th February saying they'd be in touch. Later in the day received a further letter dated 10th February almost identical to the one I got in January stating they had evidence of a partner and could I send in my documents to them. Very confused I rang Concentrix and must admit it was a much better service than when in January. Spoke to a lovely lady who was most apologetic and said all they need is mine and my brother's birth certificates, to confirm kinship, and then the case is closed. Won't feel completely relieved until this is in writing but it's hopefully going to be resolved soon. Hope everyone else is getting good news.

Sylvia02 · 19/02/2015 22:16

I received all my paper work today along with a letter stating they'll be in touch soon. I waited 5 weeks.

Morgan97 · 19/02/2015 23:14

5 weeks Sylvia02, blimey they told me when I first rang it would take ten days to hear anything,it's only been a week since I replied to them, don't think my nerves will stand another 4 weeks. Has anyone else waited this long or dare I say it longer than this?

vicj69 · 19/02/2015 23:38

I sent off my stuff 1st class recorded 18 days ago, which they signed for the very next day.
Still haven't had a reply or my documents back!

Katy69 · 20/02/2015 08:49

I just received all my documents back this morning , signed for ! That was less than two weeks ago that I sent them. So pretty fast ! A letter attached saying they will be in touch soon regarding my claim. Just have to wait and see lol . Wait and see if they beleive I live alone . When you think about the way this a has been dealt with and information they required is all pretty pathetic if you ask me . A complete waste of time and money for everybody. . And added stress for people. Hope this is all over soon for everyone .

Not seen it .how do I get to see it .

indigo65 · 20/02/2015 18:06

Posted mine today, cost £10 recorded delivery, included SAE,after visiting the CAB yesterday, was told had to send it off as its the tax dept. They hoped it was not a fishing exercise,as that is illegal. It is an underhand way of dealing with those of us that are already caught up in the system, through various circumstances, never mind those that have never done a days work and get something for nothing, just have to play the waiting game now.

Morgan97 · 20/02/2015 19:45

I've not seen that either Itsgoingtoreindeer can you let me know how please.

Maybe mine took longer because they had to go through about 80 pages of bank statements. I'm proving that I work 32 hours per week (still can't see how that'll prove it) I'm self employed. I couldn't sleep for weeks & who knows when I'll hear back.
