what is the credit status of someone who has taken out an IVA and it has run its course?

XH expecting to be able to refinance the family home to 'buy me out' once IVA is finsinshed - is this likley?

The IVA stays on your credit file from 6 years from date of being awarded, so say it was set up and agreed by the court on 01 January 2010, it would (allegedly) fall off your credit file on 01 January 2016. Until that point, it will adversely affect your credit rating - and may do so afterwards if you do not "clean up" your credit file.

This is a brilliant site http://www.debtdivas.co.uk/ Debt Divas for queries and things relating to IVA's. The people who run the site are all financial professionals, have been on both sides of the coin, so to speak and they are kind and helpful. They should be able to answer your queries better than I. :)

THANKS!!
So the answer is technically no...another year to wait assuming credit status does not deteriorate further.

you should credit check yourself to ensure all defaults are registered on the date the iva was approved or prior that way they will all fall off after 6 yrs
