Hello everyone and welcome to the new thread for Round Two!

To recap, the basic rules are:
No chicklit
No abuse memoir type stuff
No horror
No hardbacks

Auto/biography is allowed as long as it?s not anything too obscure (or crap, obviously).

Chocolate to the value of about £2 each time.

As before, please email me at artifarti at hotmail dot co dot uk with the initials of your chosen book and author (e.g. ROTN by TH for Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy) so I can check there are no duplicates. I will assume all your name, address and chocolate details remain the same unless you tell me otherwise (johnworf, please send me yours)

Please do this on or before July 10th. Then I will email you all with the name of the new person you are to post the books to (we are reversing, for anyone that hasn't picked that up.)

No-one has indicated that they want to drop out so I am assuming not at the moment.
I have now read all the books so I am thinking about which was my favourite - so many good ones, a difficult choice.

I am afraid that I have completely lost track of who has which month's books destined for who and have not heard anything else from PL or anything from LadyBee - pooter have you received any books yet?

Can anyone who is still checking in on this thread please PM me and tell me whose book they have got (i.e. name written in inside cover) and I will attempt to get us back on track by January.

Several other people are MIA from the thread but I am assuming that they are just happily sending and receiving books until I hear otherwise...

Dysgu - that is the book that should have only got to you next month. If that helps! Everyone else seems to know the book that is coming to me (OK, slight exaggeration, Pooter and AgentP know!), but I can't tell you just yet. I am hoping that it will arrive tomorrow, the roads seem to be much better now.

Hope you're all warm and well. It was -20 when I went to work this morning, and -15 on the way home - not very pleasant! I don't think my face has ever been so cold.

slf has my book arrived yet? You've not posted for a couple of days, so maybe you're engrossed in it.

arti have you worked out what we should all be reading this month? I've not received a book from pooter so I guess it's one of the ones that's MIA.

If you let me know what it is, I can buy a copy - although not from Amazon. I have 4 parcels that were despatched early last week still to arrive.

Hey AP, no sign as yet Xmas Sad. Our post is well up the swannee, tho, we're getting things in no particular order and maybe the fact the book would have been a packet rather than a letter means it goes to the back of the queue? Dunno. Annoying though - just one of the many snow annoyances!

The pictures of Scotland in the snow have been amazing - do hope you weren't too badly affected. Those poor people shut in their cars all night - grim!

Well, I am trying to unravel what the missing books are...can you have a look at this list and let me know if anything looks wrong (there will be wrong things; it all gets a bit unstuck in the middle!).

At last! That took almost a fortnight. Ironically, my parents went to your city for a few days on the same day I sent the book. They could have hand delivered it.

Sorry I've been AWOL. I have received my December book and sent mine off to maria2007 at the beginning of December...hopefully you have received it maria?

Hope all the books have arrived where they should be going. I guess it's a combo of the weather & Royal Mail?

hello! Off tomorrow, so can I wish everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas and all the very best for 2011!

I recommend taking a nice Turkey sandwich and a glass of champagne to a quiet reading corner while the rest of them are watching the telly... that'll be where I am!

Happy New Year all, hope you had a good Christmas.

Have any of the missing in action books turned up yet? I still can't work out who has what books as there hasn't been much action on this thread - and now of course some people may have posted the January 1 book. I haven't had any emails in reply to my December ones (although a man from Burkina Faso wishes to transfer $10 million into my bank account, so that's good.) I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next if the books don't get moving again soon...

Hello everyone!

Happy new year first of all...

I'm one of the guilty ones regarding sending/not sending books. Things have been hard as we've had a bereavement in the family & lots of travelling (right now I'm in greece, still on holiday until the 11th). So I still have my packet with book & chocolate for Ladybee sitting there on my sofa waiting to be sent. It'll be sent on the 12th (just after I return).

I did try to send the packet on the day before I left but I had forgotten the address (stupid me) & the post office was about to close...

So that's what has been happening to me. I have however read & reviewed the books (and still have one more to review) so I'm hoping that with 2011 I'll be much more able to send books on time, and I do want to apologize for my ridiculous lateness in sending books to Ladybee so far. I hope the chocolate bars have been a compensation Grin.

I have received two books (and two yummy choccy items - which is tricky because i have just joined slimmers world....) today, so i had better get reading fast! Thanks Ladybee Smile I have Chandelina's book and another that im not sure about.

Its good to be back in the game! (We have been without internet since the first of december and i have been feeling very isolated and ill-informed, having just moved to a new area. Hopefully some other school gate mums will start to talk to me...)

I have deduced i have Respect The Donut's book as well as Chandelinas, so i do not have Arti's. Did you post it Ladybee? I think that was November's book. Arti, if you tell me what it is i can buy a copy and get it moving again - ta.

I have just received JohnWorf's book from StcikyLittleFngers - with yummy German chocolate Grin

Both look really good.

I have a parcel to send to Aristocat tomorrow - it is all packaged up so I am not sure whose book it is (but it has a blue cover and the initials of the title are TLF if that helps keep track of books?

Maria, it sounds like you've been having a dreadful time - I hope 2011 is a turning point and you and your family will have a good year.

I'm not sure how often I'll be able to get online in the next couple of months, but as and when AP has things to send and they arrive over here, I will of course send them on to Dysgu. So I may be a silent partner for a bit, but I will be busily reading/eating/sending in the background...
