Madhouse, thank you for the book! (At least, I'm assuming it's you, not someone randomly posting me a book out of swap order... it's Trillian's book, which looks right from the list).

That's my April book so I'm about a month behind. Will there be a big gap now cos of Trillian not having had any books for ages at the beginning?

TrillianAstra · 16/05/2009 15:08

I think Squilly's book should be not too far behind mine now, and Korma's book is out there somewhere (as in I have read it and sent it on). After that there is a big gap because that is all I have had.

Squilly have you had any more yet?

Just to remind myself and everyone the order is:
Trillian posting to
Psychomum posting to
Flame posting to
TheMadHouse posting to
FlossieT posting to
Coco posting to
Rosmerta posting to
Sherby posting to
Shootfrom posting to
Sleepyeyes posting to
Korma posting to
Squilly posting to top!

Cocodrillo · 20/05/2009 20:50

Thanks for ze book Flossie

Cocodrillo · 20/05/2009 20:51

You read it very quickly. Or maybe you'd already read it? (Or even gave up on it?)

It looks intriguing.

I hope things are improving Korma x

squilly · 20/05/2009 21:30

Sorry I missed the thread on Saturday. I have it on my watch list, but then I forget to check it, so I manage to miss things (DOH!).

Korma, I'll email you tonight as soon as I've finished this mail.

Trillian...I don't have anything to pass on now other than a book I've just read, which you may/may not have read already. The Gideon Mack book?? Can't remember the exact title, but if you haven't read it and fancy a read, let me know and I'll forward it on.

Hope everyone is doing o.k.

Can't believe we're looking at breaking up tomorrow for half term but am really looking forward to a break from school.

Take care all and catch up with you soon. (Daresay Trillian is currently on the Apprentice Thread. I will not google, I will not google)

Also sending strengthening positive stuff over the ether, korma.

Coco, read it very fast - needed a bit of a change from a recent spate of very literary fiction. Am now reading a Rafaella Barker so it is clearly going downhill fast... have decided to tackle my unread books by reading the ones I think I will least want to keep and re-read first so I can give them away and make some space on the shelves. "Coffee table" is going to have to be re-named "book table" before too long as there are three foot-high stacks of paperbacks on it. And it is not a big table.

Cocodrillo · 02/06/2009 17:11

DH keeps threatening to send mine to the charity shop. He is disgusted by all my unread books.

tillyfernackerpants · 04/06/2009 10:25

Do what I do, they all get piled up at the side of my bed but underneath! Then dh can't see them!

Btw, I'll be sending the next book on tomorrow, sorry I'm a bit slow. Should I be getting one or is there a gap now?

Cocodrillo · 04/06/2009 10:54

I've forgotten who you are? Rosmerta?

I have one still to read and post on. Once you've had that, I think there'll be a gap.

TrillianAstra · 04/06/2009 11:00

Psycho the book you've read about a man is Korma's book, go write comments on it! That's the last official one you'll get for a little while I think.

Squilly I don't know anything or anyone called Gideon Mack so if you are wanting ot be rid of a book I will of course take it off you! (is it any good?)

tillyfernackerpants · 04/06/2009 18:33

sorry coco, yes I am Rosmerta, how's the baby?

Flamesparrow · 04/06/2009 18:42

A bit of a cheeky request, but I don't suppose anyone has Frenchman's Creek by Daphne Du Maurier I can borrow please?

They decided this month's rl book group is a mass read of the same book this month, and I really don't want to buy it... and I have lost my library card

tillyfernackerpants · 04/06/2009 19:06

Flame, I have a copy of FC & have actually just finished reading it! I'll dig out your address & post it to you tomorrow. Have you read it before, or any of DDM's books?

Flamesparrow · 04/06/2009 19:28

Oooh thank you! I have read Jamaica Inn many times, have Rebecca and The Scapegoat sat here that I have always planned to read but never gotten round to

Waves to everyone - how are we all

Korma Sorry to hear you are having a mare - hard to ask for help isnt it I had to too.

I am on the mend everyone, well that is I have a bra and two prostectics, just can not wear it all day, as I get far too sore, so I look like a preg drag queen most of the time

I have caved and am seeking mental health help , but I am sure I will improve

Cocodrillo · 04/06/2009 20:03

Oh sweetheart, you have had so much to cope with - and you sound to be doing brilliantly much of the time. It must be tough with the boys being so young and demanding too. Good on you for asking for help - no point at all in suffering in silence x

TheMadHouse · 04/06/2009 20:10

Thanks coco. Boys are being boys really, just need loads of excercise etc to keep them calm. I have posted some pics of baby L's memorial garden on my FB page it is so fab

Flamesparrow · 04/06/2009 20:27

Pregnant drag queens are quite a niche thing though aren't they? You can be unique

You've been through a hell of a lot of crap, I would have cracked up from the beginning tbh - help is a good thing.
