Here's the story:

Didn't post on Friday night due to pouring rain and my own personal laziness. So, Saturday morning asked DP very nicely to go to Post Office to post book (he knows how sadly excited I have been about the book club). So, trusted DP to do the job properly (big mistake as it turns out), carried on with the weekend.

Yesterday, out of interest, asked how much the book had cost to post (haven't a clue how much post costs because always put my own personal post through the mail room at work ). He says there was a monster queue of car tax people at the PO and he couldn't be arsed, so bought a book of stamps at Tesco and shoved a couple of first class ones on the jiffy bag, posted it and thought job done.

TYPICAL

Cue huge rant at DP (you can't be trusted, etc etc ad infinitum)

I don't think that book is going to go anywhere soon and if it does turn up poor IsThere is probably going to get nobbled for postage costs (oh the shame of it!)

What shall I do? Shall I post another book? IsThere - if you get asked for postage by the postman please let me know and will send a cheque.

MamaG - am sorry to cause grey hairs.

I have punished errant DP by threatening withholding sexual favours (not true really) and that I am going to tell all of mumsnet about his idiocy.

Still no book . Think by now may have got lost. could you let me know what it is so I can buy, if the other one turns up will send on (won't be going near anyshops until Friday at earliest so still have a couple of days)
