Hi :)

I have unfortunately just had a miscarriage :) this was our first try/first pregnancy.
I have discussed with my partner and we are going to try again but i am scared, nervous, anxious and excited all at the same time.

It would be great to hear some success story's of successful pregnancy's after a miscarriage if people are happy to share.

Much Love Be xx

@BeckyNS I’m in the same boat as you, it’s lovely to hear success stories after mc! I’m on my first period since the loss so I’m excited to try again now but still anxious at the same time! Xx

BeckyNS · 31/08/2022 11:34

@ChloeN
Was this your first pregnancy too??
It's so hard isn't it... so many mixed emotions. Fingers crossed this will be a one off mc for us both and the next time we will welcome healthy bundles of joy.
So much excitement but soo nervous.
Let's hope we hear some success story to give us a little reassurance and hope :) Xxx

@BeckyNS yep first pregnancy, we got pregnant really quick so I was over the moon but had a bad feeling about it from the start! Hopefully I won’t feel like that again next time to stop me feeling so anxious! Xxx

BeckyNS · 31/08/2022 12:42

@ChloeN

Hi ladies, sorry you find yourself in this situation. It's heartbreaking.
I had a miscarriage in june 2020, height of the pandemic, had to go it all alone. It was my 4th pregnancy, the previous 3 being no issues.
Well a few months later I fell pregnant again, and whilst it was very nerve racking, I had my boy in June 2021, to the day I lost the other one, and all was perfect. I was fortunate to be able to afford a few early private scans for reassurance.
My SIL had a miscarriage too, her first pregnancy, then went on to have my nephew not long afterwards.
I had a period after my miscarriage then started trying (but I had surgical intervention so wanted to ensure I was healed).
Good luck on your journeys and keeping fingers crossed for you x

Hi, no success story to share yet but am in the same boat, we started trying Jan this year and I fell pregnant in may, only to find out at the dating scabtthat I had had a missed miscarriage. I am just waiting for the bleeding to stop. It's almost over, but gosh it takes ages. Hopefully all 3 of us will have a success next time. All I seem to see are babies nowadays and my arms are empty.

BeckyNS · 31/08/2022 13:35

@justsayso
So sorry to hear you are also in our boat but nice to know we are not alone and can share are stories.
Thankfully my bleeding has stopped just got to do a pregnancy test at end of week to check levels have dropped.
Yes all I seem to see is new born baby's and people accounting their pregnancy.
Our time will come ladies and it will be even more special and precious xxx

Hello ladies, jumping in cause i'm in the same boat. This was our first pregnancy too. Found out at the dating scan the other day that i'd had a missed miscarriage. Absolutely devastated.
Sending hugs to you all and hoping for success for us all next time x

ChloeN · 31/08/2022 16:30

I didn’t realise missed miscarriages were as common as they are! I’m on my first period since my loss which luckily came on time. Hoping this means im back to normal!

FieldView · 31/08/2022 16:32

Similar boat here. I had a miscarriage picked up at an early scan in December - it took over three weeks before my pregnant tests were showing negative again, so it might take some time for things to settle down.

Took a few months out to get my head straight and have recently started ttc again.

Fingers crossed we all have better luck next time Flowers

I'm 37 weeks and being induced on Friday, I tested positive with this pregnancy on the 14th January after miscarrying on the 9th December. I can honestly say I haven't felt anxious at all, what will be will be I think. (Also aware I'm in the minority with that!)

justanotherlaura · 31/08/2022 17:01

I'm 32 weeks now, had an early miscarriage on Xmas Eve last year and found out we were pregnant again on 12th Feb.

Not going to lie right up until the 20 week scan I was adamant something was going to go wrong and it would happen again, definitely has put a dampener on the whole pregnancy and I'm jealous of people that haven't had a loss, they seem so innocent and joyful but so pleased we are where we are now and feeling more positive now.

We started trying straight away but only do that if you're ready!

Ms8804 · 01/09/2022 09:48

Hi there, im so sorry for your loss. It’s absolutely cruel.
i had 4 early miscarriages and a MMC at 9.5 weeks in April this year, I had a DnC that ended up having retained product which caused and infection so it was a very awful experience. I have just found out im pregnant 5 months later and am really struggling with living in the moment and trying to enjoy myself.
i agree with the other ladies here saying they’re jealous of people who have never had a loss.

we don’t have any children and don’t have any positive experiences associated with pregnancy after over 2 years of trying.
Im truely grateful for the 2 lines and im 5 weeks today but I can’t shake the feeling of dread.

i wish the best for all of you here ♥️♥️♥️ We all deserve a positive outcome after all we’ve been through. X

Whataretheodds · 02/09/2022 10:19

Following with interest after miscarriage this week (1st pregnancy). Wishing you all the very best.

Ms8804 · 02/09/2022 10:58

Fingers crossed for beautiful outcomes for all of us ladies 🤞🏼♥️

just wondering if anyone has had referrals to any specialists or have any treatment plans from here on out?
Our MMC baby turned out to have triploidy (3 sets of chromosomes so it was non-viable from the start without us knowing even with a heartbeat on ultrasound) it’s very rare and isn’t know you happen more than once to a person. We still went to genetic counsellor and had karyotyping done so we’re waiting the results at the moment to see what they are. It takes about 3-4 to get results back.

thanks to everyone for sharing their stories here. It’s such an isolating thing to go through when nothing can be done or said to help so this makes me feel less alone.

Is everyone here in the UK? I’m from the south coast of Australia and have found it interesting reading about your Health system, it seems a lot easier to get help there than it is in rural Australia. X

ChloeN · 02/09/2022 13:17

@Ms8804 hey, so sorry for your loss😣 that’s positive to hear you shouldn’t experience the same problem with your next pregnancy! No treatment or referrals for me, I don’t have any issues that I know of so I’m just hoping I was unfortunate with this baby and I’ll be ok next time!
Im from the uk🥰

Whataretheodds · 02/09/2022 18:40

@Ms8804 sorry for your loss. In the UK the NHS usually only offer investigations after 3 miscarriages. There is the option to do more, sooner, if one pays to go privately.

The NIPT test is available here, again privately only, i believe it tests for triploidy along with others.

JP400 · 03/09/2022 21:11

@BeckyNS So sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in October 2020 and got pregnant again in January 2021 and had a healthy boy who is 1 next month

BeckyNS · 03/09/2022 21:14

@JP400
This is great to hear thank you :) happy 1st birthday to your boy xx

I had a miscarriage in Oct 2017 at about 8/40, waited one cycle and then fell pregnant in December 2017, DC2 born Sept 2018.

I also recently had a miscarriage at start of July, bled for 2 weeks, then it took another week for a negative test. I tracked ovulation and ovulated end of July, currently 7/40. Feeling seriously rough right now so hoping this is a good sign!

OP, good luck with trying again. Many healthy pregnancies follow a miscarriage.

We were told there is no medical reason to wait for 1 period before trying again, other than accuracy of estimated dating until you have the first scan.

JP400 · 04/09/2022 08:33

@BeckyNS I felt all the same feelings as you and wanted to try again. I think it took about 6 or 7 weeks for my cycle to return after it happened. I was 7 weeks pregnant and I passed naturally and didn’t need any intervention

BeckyNS · 07/09/2022 11:57

Hey ladies

It has been two weeks since my miscarriage but today I have started bleeding again!! Has anyone else had this?? Im guessing it's just my body still clearing my uterus. I go on holiday Tuesday and not liking the fact I don't know what my body is doing and is going to do.

Thanks in advance xxx

Hey ladies, sorry for your losses 😥 had miscarriage myself 2 weeks ago I was 8 weeks and my bleeding finally stopped Friday but still testing positive on pregnancy tests. Dying to start trying again but should I wait until negative test ? Also other people recommend waiting until after period comes back but I’m so inpatient I don’t want to? The urge to be pregnant again is unbelievable ☹️

Whataretheodds · 12/09/2022 22:39

@BeckyNS how are you getting on? May i ask, did you have 2 clear weeks of no bleeding before it started again, and has it stopped now? I ended up needing surgical management, had a little bit of bleeding for a few days afterwards, then several clear days before a bit more.

BeckyNS · 13/09/2022 02:32

@Daniki I'm in the same boat we are very knee to start again. Our sex life isn't quite the same atm but if it happens it will happen.

@Whataretheodds I was just shy of 2 weeks.
Went for a BT Thursday and hcg levels at about 152 and scan all clear apart small amount of blood in uterus still and one of ovary was about to realise another egg so my body of getting back into some sort of cycle. They did say about 2 weeks after I should ovulate.
Had another blood test yesterday and it was 76 so got to take another pregnancy test in two weeks. My bleeding stopped and started again but only lasts about 24hrs (very much stress related with appointments)
Off ok holiday now to relax and with hope start are journey again xxxx
