Lost my baby at 7 weeks pregnant

Went for a scan today as I'd been spotting and having bad cramps and we got told that there was no heartbeat and the baby was only 7mm so they think it died around a week ago.

I'd had bleeding earlier in my pregnancy but had blood tests which confirmed I was still pregnant. Not sure if the two are related.

I'm just devastated, can't stop crying. Is anyone else in the same boat?

I've opted for surgery with general ansethic, hoping I've made the right decision, not sure I could cope with seeing the blood right now.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I have also experienced the same thing and was similarly devestated. Please do keep talking about how you are feeling. I gave my baby a name and now, many years later, with 2 almost grown chrildren, still wonder about the person this baby would have been. Sending you huge hugs.

@dalisdrippingclock thank you. I think that's lovely that you still think of your baby all these years later. I don't ever want to forget x

Hi, I’m in the same position at the minute. Went for a scan last week to be told baby stopped growing at 6 weeks (we was 8 weeks). Left the scan feeling really down although we was told to come back in a weeks time and baby could of grown. Started bleeding heavy last night so I know what they’re going to tell me when I go for my scan on Wednesday. This is my second miscarriage since March of this year after having a healthy pregnancy in 2019 and another in 2020. No idea what is going on. Husband thinks covid vaccine as I’ve never struggled and never suffered before 🙄🙄
