Hi iv looked on mums net since my 1st pregnancy and I bleed and came here to read others stories. Iv had 3 miscarriage 1st October 2021 2nd February 2022 3rd July 2022. Iv now been referred and awaiting an appointment to see a specialist. Anyone else been through recurrent miscarriage and been successful after? The first was really bad passed natural but awful. The second hurrendous never seen so much blood in my life and resulted in a d&c the third fine generally like a period but my god it done it's toll on my mental health. I generally believed I suffered depression for that week it was the worst iv ever felt. I just want to know what to expect when we get our referal appointment and did these appointments help anyone? I'm 31 and married we've been together 10 years and so ready for our next step. Thanks for reading kkon x

Sorry for your losses - it is just so unfair that they happen. I just wanted you to know you aren't alone, when it can feel like everywhere you look there's reminders of what you don't have right now.

I've just suffered a miscarriage - it was my first pregnancy.

Although my journey is different I just wanted to reach out and offer my support. I had read posts on MN whilst pregnant to gain reassurance - it was only when I miscarried that I felt I would post. I think I'm the first to post but you aren't alone - thoughts are with you x

I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time. Tommy’s has fantastic resources including a phone line if you need to chat things over with a midwife (who are also trained in bereavement). They also have lots of resources about recurrent miscarriage. Hopefully they will be able to help you find a reason for your losses 💕

Awats93 · 29/07/2022 19:36

So sorry to hear about your losses. I just wanted to give you abit of hope, I’ve had multiple miscarriages, I had 3 then had my daughter now 2 with no issues with pregnancy. I never got to the referral as I didn’t wait to try conceive again after my 3rd loss. I hope you get the answers you need from the doctors.

Buttons294749 · 29/07/2022 19:39

So sorry OP
I had 3 x MC then went to the RM centre who discovered i have factor V.

Once i had the blood thinners i went on to have 2 x successful pregnancies

SkirridHill · 29/07/2022 19:42

I had three miscarriages. We had some tests done, there was no conclusive reason for the losses. I went on to have my DD afterwards. I do hope you're ok, I found it really tough.

So sorry for your losses @kkon - sending hugs Flowers

I have just had a second - first Feb, then this one which hasn't yet passed but is a missed miscarriage - I'm waiting to pass it naturally.

I am considering testing now too even though I couldn't get it on the NHS yet but it's so traumatic I really don't want to go through it all again if I can avoid it.

Let us know how you get on and best of luck.

@julie123098 ah I'm so sorry to hear this. Honestly my 2nd was the worse too and I didn't think I would want to go through it again and even try but give yourself time. I will keep you posted you too please. Take care off yourself and make sure to not deal with it alone xx

@julie123098 ah that is good! I made the mistake of shutting my husband out about and ended up really disliking him for a few days glad to say that did pass but it's such an emotional time honestly wouldn't of been able to do it all without him if you need to speak to anyone I'll be here xx

I'm so sorry for your losses. I remember how truly awful it is to experience MC 💔. But I want to give you some hope. I had 3 consecutive MCs. I was referred for testing, but they never found a cause, my scan and bloods were all 'normal' .
I then got pregnant with my little boy with no problem (he's 2 now) and currently pregnant with baby no. 2.
When I was experiencing my MCs I found Tommy's were really helpful.
Take care OP and look after yourself x

@MissT123 thank you so much so glad you got your rainbows. I keep saying storms don't last forever but they bloody feel like it atm! I'm so glad everything worked out well for you just goes to show there's not always an underlying problem and it can generally be bad luck. I have everything crossed for our next time round I can imagine it's not easy having 3 miscarriages and then being succeeding pregnant it must be very nerve racking every second x

Thank you so much OP.
I really hope you get your rainbow baby soon and I'm sure you will! Please don't give up and don't let the negative thoughts in.
After my 2nd MC I remember opening up to anyone who would listen to me about having a MC and it was really comforting to hear how many people had experienced it too.
I do really feel for you as I remember how painful it is. After my 3rd MC I was convinced I'd never have children and I became quite bitter and jealous when friends ect got pregnant with no problems. I even became jealous of my DP who has a child from a previous relationship. But here I am with a toddler and a bump, so miracles really do happen 😊
Yes it was very scary being pregnant with my son, I think I paid for a private scan every week or so lol.
Stay positive OP, (I remember how hard it is). I actually got pregnant when I had 'given up' and I don't know of it was because i was relaxed? But just make sure to look after yourself ❤️

Hi for anyone that sees this message still not sure how this forum works lol. So it's been just under 5 weeks since the 3rd miscarriage started. My first period was due yesterday and iv just tested positive 1-2 weeks! I'm beyond excited but omg I'm so nervous already. Iv started taking aspirin as the letter from the hospital said to do as soon as I test positive but I just read I should of been taking folic acid I must of spaced and not read it properly and we wasn't going to try and until after Christmas. Will this be a problem this time around? Did everyone else take folic acid pre pregnancy? Iv just taken my pregnacare so will be getting the folic acid from today. Thanks to anyone that reads and answers! Here's to the 4th pregnancy in a year 🤞🤞

Lily1990 · 01/08/2022 13:46

Hi @kkon I read your thread after my third loss (although a chemical pregnancy) and it's so encouraging that you've conceived so quickly again! So thanks for updating and bringing hope to others going through this.
Re: folic acid, my mum said no one took it a few decades ago, and they still had healthy babies! So I wouldn't worry :) wish you all the best!

kkon · 01/08/2022 14:01

@Lily1990 ahh I'm so sorry to hear this lily hope your ok. Thank you I got myself all in a panic let's hope the aspirin helps this time around 🤞🤞

@kkon How is it going for you? I've got a history of recurrent miscarriages too (4 MCs, no babies) and currently 4+3, but HCGs very low (20) :(
Wonder how you're getting on.

kkon · 08/08/2022 15:12

@SavedByGraceAlone hi sorry to hear that! This one ended in a chemical. So disappointed again. I'm just going to wait for my referral now. I rang tommys on Friday and spoke to a midwife and she said some people will always miscarry if there is an underlying problem and it could just be taking a medicine everyday that can see you to full term. So without knowing what my issue is I don't think I can put myself through this anymore so will wait and hope the referral doesn't take too long 🤞🤞 wish you all the luck in the world x
