I think I’m miscarrying

Hi

I’m sorry if this is long or a bit confused. I’m a mess.

I’m 9 weeks with second pregnancy (first gave me my beautiful daughter almost 2 years ago, no previous loss or complication)

Today I text my husband saying my tummy felt a bit dodgy then at about 3.55pm I went to the loo and noticed blood in my knickers. Bit smaller than a 50p piece. Wiped three times to what looked like a lot of blood.

Ran out of work straight to early pregnancy assessment unit who saw me right away.

Speculum exam confirmed closed cervix and no more blood loss, and that what they could see was brown.

They couldn’t scan as no sonographers so booked for tomorrow morning.

I am so scared. This baby is so so wanted and loved already. I can’t lose it.

I have been so stressed this past few days, I’m overweight, I had my Covid booster (clinically vulnerable) and I get zero rest with a toddler and a busy senior job. I feel like I should have taken so much more care. I took this baby for granted.

Please if you have positive stories of similar experience I would love to hear them. I’m in for a very long 16 hours!

Hi OP, just bumping this one for you in the hope that someone will be along with help and support.

Hi

It has been confirmed that I am miscarrying. Thank you for the bump but it’s not good news.

I will be having a d&c tomorrow. I held on so tight to the hope it would be ok.

I'm so sorry for your loss OP Flowers I was hoping when I read your first post that it would be good news. I hope that D&C is as straightforward as possible and you can begin to heal from this when you're ready xx

I'm so sorry, it's an awful thing to experience. I'm going through something similar, having a missed miscarriage and am having medical management for it. I have one DC already and this was a much wanted and planned pregnancy. It's absolutely nothing you've done by being busy or anything like that. Be very kind to yourself xxx

I’m so sorry for your loss. Going through the same thing right now with d&c booked for tomorrow. If you want to vent, chat or just have a cry together then just drop me a message xxx

I’m in a very similar situation myself as we speak and I want to send you so much love and massive hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

WingingIt101 · 16/12/2021 13:53

@Worriednottheword I am so sorry. So so sorry. I hope so much that you get good news but if you don’t then please take good care of yourself, surround yourself with whatever you need.

2 weeks later and I still feel like I might wake up. Monday would be my dating scan - I don’t know if it’s better I know already or not. Either way I’m dreading the day.
