Scan 5w4d

Has anyone had a scan this early on and can let me know what it showed? I had one due to 2 bleeds and I also have had 6previous mc so I know this won’t end well. But still looking for stories (like u do).
I’m sure of my dates as it’s an ivf pregnancy but saw gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole…..not feeling very hopeful!

I had one at about that stage for DS - there was a fetal pole, and the gestational sac. They had me back in 2 weeks later and there was a heartbeat.

I’m really sorry for your previous losses and hope this one turns out better.

Hey,
Also IVF, I had one that early also due to bleeds, sac and yolk present, back the next week to find a fetal pole and HB!

@Moonshine11 thanks. U think it was 5plus4 when you had it? It seems most People have a pole by then. Just to be super cruel I’ve started feeling sick since yesterday and it’s just mean if it’s all about to end :(

It was at 5w2d as I remember it wasn’t long after we found out it had worked and I rang them crying and they got me in!
Was your scan with your clinic?

Hi cream ive had 3 scans so far! I should be 7 weeks on Thursday. My last scan I think I was 6 weeks plus two and there was only a sac and yolk sac no fetal pole but they said it was nothing to worry about and should be here next time they scan me!! You are even earlier j wouldn't worry too much. My next scan is tomorrow morning I'm so nervous! when is yours ?? Xx

Mine is Thursday. Am not feeling hopeful!!! :( it’s not just the scan it’s my bleeding and the lack of symptoms I have.

Lots of luck!!! I’m literally going mad waiting !!!

I had no symptoms at that stage op, they didn’t come till 8w and only lasted till 11!
What’s the bleeding been like that you’ve had?
Filled a pad, brown, red?

No it was 1 tablespoons of fresh red blood. That came and it was painless and I didn’t even know I had it till went to loo. 2 episodes 10 days apart. It’s just my history too which is majorly playing on my mind…..

I had a scan exactly 6 weeks from my last period. They dated me at 5 weeks 3 days and there was just a gestational sac, no yolk sac. A week later there was a heartbeat, and I was told it was a viable pregnancy. I’m going back next week, which is around 10 weeks and hoping all will be will.
I hadn’t had any bleeding or pain, I was scanned early due to history of complete molar pregnancy.
At six weeks, I think it is very early to see much and you may need to wait to be sure either good or bad news. Hoping for good outcome for you.

I had a scan 6 plus 3 and no heartbeat so not looking good :(

Hi

I got on well 4 days later I had another scan and there was a heartbeat!! Don't give up it's far too early if yours day are wrong even by a couple. Did you see a yolk sac ??

I'm still worrying again now as my symptoms seem to have disappeared so I'm for a scan on Monday! Xx

Hi

I was 6 plus 2 on my first scan there was just a yolk sac and then 4 days later a heartbeat. When do you go back ? Have you got a picture of your scan?

I've got another scan Monday morning I'm hoping all still okay xx

And my dates weren't wrong maybe a couple of days. The month previous I had my eggs retrieved for IVF and had 5 embryos frozen! I was waiting to start medication for FET but my period never came as I was already pregnant naturall! After trying for years.

How many embryos did you manage to get fingers crossed all okay for you anyway xx

I had a scan at 7 plus 3 and had a hb and measuring right for days strangely which really surprised me as I was sure I needed an ercp. However since scan I’ve had daily brown spotting which is so worrying so I’ve another scan on Thursday. Terrified it will be gone now :(

@Cream123 I've been following this as I've had a MC recently :( I don't want to give you false hope but the MW told be brown discharge is completely normal with a lot of women. I've got everything crossed for you tomorrow

Hiya yes all okay so far! Got another scan Friday baby seemed a little small but hopefully on catch up this week!! How are you ??

Also they found a small bleed behind sac but they have said it's nothing to worry about!! X

In just waiting for my scan on Thursday. Fairly sure it will have ended :( just wish I hadn’t been given good news last week and then have it all taken away.
With my history , brown spotting daily for 6 days now and also no hb at 6 plus 3 I just can’t see how this would be ok. The days are going so slow

Why do you think it is ending ?? If there was a heartbeat last week ? I'm so confused ?? I have a bleed behind sac and they said it could cause me to spot but it doesn't mean you're having a miscarriage?? Have they told you something different??

I had no heartbeat 6 weeks plus 2 and my dates are correct. Not one person has seemed concerned at all. As long as the baby is growing each time you really can stop worrying!! I understand the bleeding is worrying you. But it could be a subchronic bleed. When is your next scan ? Xx

Sorry I just seen your scan is Thursday! How many weeks should you be then ? My last scan I should have been 7 weeks 5 days and baby measured 6weeks 6 days and at another scan 5 weeks 5 days this was on the same day (I had a nhs one and didn't trust what they said so booked a private one on the evening) I obviously will know more when I go on Friday I'm hoping baby has caught up a bit xx
