FRER tests are cruel

Hi all, sorry for the list of dates coming up but hopefully someone can help.
I had surgical management on 7th December, tested negative on a cb digital on 16/1 and negative on ic on 19/1, I had a scan confirm all clear on 21/1, period started on 23/1, I then ovulated again on 4/2 and dtd loads over that time. Just 7dpo I caved and tested and there was a really strong frer line, too strong to be biologically possible for just 7dpo, two days later lighter but it's still there. Has anyone else found frer hold onto HCG for much longer than other tests?

I'm sorry but they dont. You also can't ovulate with hcg in your system. Since you've had negative tests, the all clear and have ovulated then I'd say this is a new pregnancy

I've heard you can ovulate with levels of 10 in your system. Well if it is a new pregnancy it's already a failing one. How can I possibly have had two strong lines just 7dpo when it's unlikely to even have implanted but just a whisper now at 9po?

This happened me, I had a clear positive on FRER something mad like 6/7 weeks after a ERPC. My HCG blood levels were 7 which shows just how sensitive they are. However with another (successful) pregnancy I had a clear line at 8dpo midday and it had lightened by the next morning. I'd seen progression on a cheap one so I just left it and stopped taking tests. Such a worrying time, if it is a new pregnancy wait a few days and see if you have progression maybe? Thanks

I'm going insane. This this is top test this morning at 6.30 which prompted this post and the bottom test is 10am. I don't know what's going on.

Have you had a negative on frer post mc? Having just had a mc in January I was showing negative on IC tests but faint positive on frer. The frer takes the longest to get to zero. Can you test with the same brand you got your negative on. If that shows positive then thats hopeful. If it’s negative then I would personally assume some left over hcg from mc xxx

This thread might be helpful. A few have had issues getting a frer to zero weeks after mc xxx

I had bloods done and a scan on Thursday and HCG was 7.3 which still gives a staggeringly strong line on FRER.

The next morning (yesterday) I started my period so I'm hoping that will flush anything left and I'll do another FRER. But the plan is repeat bloods on Monday (which will be 11 weeks post surgical management) and if still over 5 I'll have a hysteroscopy to check for any retained tissue that can't be seen on the scan.
