Went for my 12 week today and baby had stopped growing at 8+4. They are giving me a week to see if things move on their own. Don't know how to feel but so feel guilty

What are your complications? Hopefully it will not affect your cycle, I think we all deserve some luck next time.
I hope you are right and that the pregnancy has kickstarted my fertility. I like to think positive most of the time and still hold on to hope. Have you seen gp about your complications?

Michelle0507 · 13/06/2018 18:15

@Pampl3m0usse sorry to hear you got yours too. At least for me the weather changed massively and it's been red hot. Eeeek, maybe we will. I've no idea about my cycles or anything as I had one period after coming off the pill which I'd been on years!!!!!

Good to catch up with everyone.

PineapplePrincess · 13/06/2018 18:27

Hi guys. Yes would appear AF arrived today here too. Was expecting horrendous cramps, but nothing so far - fingers crossed for an unbumpy ride. Altho’ a bit sad we’re all back to ‘normality’ - whatever that is!?!

Pampl3m0usse · 13/06/2018 18:46

Probable endometritis (infection of womb lining :( ) up on gynae ward missing the children's bedtime and just bumped into the student nurse whose first day it was when I found out the baby had died and whose last day it is today.

Cleozeta · 13/06/2018 19:59

Oh no pample that sounds rubbish, hopefully they can fix you up.

How interesting that we all got af around the same time. I've not had many cramps but it's quite heavy.
I hope we can get some luck next cycle

PineapplePrincess · 13/06/2018 21:08

Sorry to hear about complications @Pampl3m0use. Flowers

Michelle0507 · 13/06/2018 21:22

Oh no Pampl3m0usse sorry to hear, I hope you're better soon.

Mines quite light, lots of cramping though pain killers every 4 hours!

Cleozeta · 14/06/2018 09:47

Cd3 now and still no cramping. Heavy though. Looking forward to it finishing so I can crack out the opk's. I really don't like this part of my cycle it always feels so final!

PineapplePrincess · 16/06/2018 21:26

CD4 - very light yesterday and today, normal to heavy CD1 and CD2. Was expecting a heavier and longer flow post MC. Particularly as AF has been only 2-3 days since previous EPRC; worried cervical lining is not thick enough or going pre-menopausal.

No word from hospital re Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic, given it’ll be 6wks since MC on Monday, wondering when to start chasing. Any thoughts?

Another random thought popped into my head the other day. Pregnancy has been sent away for testing, will they be able to detect sex of baby and would they tell me? Don’t know why, but had a minor panic at the thought.

Michelle0507 · 16/06/2018 22:18

My period seems to have stopped normally have a 7 day one so we'll see. Had a few heavy bleeds but not as bad as imagined. Pain was so bad.

@PineapplePrincess I think it depends how many weeks.x

Cleozeta · 17/06/2018 08:53

My period was the most normal one I've had since the middle of last year. They had started to change due to preipenopause, and they were always either heavy and clotty or stop start. I would also spot right up until about cd 7 or 8. This time was like an 'old school' one and it slowed down yesterday and seems to have stopped today on cd6. I have my hopes up that this mc may have rebalanced my hormones a bit.

It depends how far along you were pineapple. They may not tell you, but I think past 10 weeks it may be on the paperwork. I think it gets written as whch XY chromasome, so you'd have to look hard and then work it out, so it's avoidable if you don't want to know.

Pampl3m0usse · 18/06/2018 21:32

Hi ladies,

Sorry for the delay replying, I took a few days out - my DD had her First Holy Communion, our new house is now finished and should be ready to move into in a few weeks and I had a busy few days at work... all of which I needed to do without the pressure of thinking of TTC...
Anyway I'm feeling much better so either my period or the antibiotics have done the job. Mine was incredibly painful (if that was what was causing the pain)... but also very very light. CD 7 tomorrow and I've had no bleeding since CD 3 which to be honest is a bit heartening as it seems unlikely with that little womb lining that I was in with any sort of a chance this cycle. Anyway onwards and upwards to FW from next weekend.
Hope you're all doing OK...

Cleozeta · 19/06/2018 11:08

Glad you are feeling better pample, it may have just been a strange one post mc and will hopefully go back to normal this cycle. I am looking forward to fw, feeling positive for once!

mk87 · 21/06/2018 13:18

Had the scan today baby had grown a lot but still no heartbeat 😢 waiting to see if they can fit me in for a d&c tomorrow. Has anyone else had one? How bad is it? I've never had surgery so I am feeling pretty nervous! X

Pampl3m0usse · 21/06/2018 16:49

I'm so sorry mk87. I didn't have a D&C but I hope some of the other ladies who did can advise....

@Cleozeta I'm looking forward to FW too... on CD8 and had some odd slightly bloody CD (sorry TMI) followed by what looks like EWCM. Did an OPK and negative, but last month I only got a positive immediately before OV (get pains) and the clearblue flashing smiley face thing never appeared, just went straight to a static one. Not sure if that's just because of the MC or what though...

Was feeling very miserable but had a better few days. Going to spend £££ that we have (but I shouldn't really spend on myself) on a piece of jewellery. Was going to spend some of Mum's inheritance on things for myself but then the house purchase meant that went out of the window, but know I need to try and do something to help me remember her and stop being so down on myself. Anyway I'm hoping the overindulgence will then mean I get PG and have to scrimp and save!!! Also going to get my nose pierced... because I can and life's too short...
@PineapplePrincess any news from the rc miscarriage clinic? xx
@Michelle0507 hows life back at work after your hols? Does it look like your cycle has settled down?

Michelle0507 · 21/06/2018 17:01

@mk87 I had a D&C it was fine, painless tbh which shocked me. Had some stomach pains and bleeding it's more recovering from the anesthetic it takes a couple of days to recover. It is more the emotional than anything as with this whole thing really.
@Pampl3m0usse I'm good thank you, went back to work yesterday it's lovely to be back living normal. My period was very short for me, quite heavy at parts so we'll see what happens from here.

Hope everyone else is well.x

Michelle0507 · 21/06/2018 17:05

I meant to ask is anyone suffering with spots? I'm still getting really big painful spots on my lower face and neck! I don't usually suffer with spots it isn't the appearance thing that's bothering me it's how much they hurt!

Cleozeta · 21/06/2018 17:18

Pample I am cd10 and have also had some unusual cm. Today and yesterday it was brown. Not sure whats going on. It's not much so I'm not too worried. Got a high on the cbfm today but nothing at all on a cheapo opk. Again a bit odd. Will have to wait and see what happens.

Good on you for getting the peircing. Why not! Smile

Michelle no spots for me yet, I guess that must be hormones rebalancing? Are you looking set to ovulate soon?

Cleozeta · 21/06/2018 17:18

Mk87 sorry to hear it was not good news for you. Hope it all goes as well as it can

Michelle0507 · 21/06/2018 18:45

I've no idea about ovulation or anything, as said before I'd been off my pill 4 weeks when I got preg was a huge shock. So I'm all about confused when is best to try and signs etc. Hmm

PineapplePrincess · 21/06/2018 18:46

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing okay.

Sorry to hear your news @MK87, how far along are you suppose to be? Sounds strange pregnancy is growing but not HB. {{{big hugs}}}. Any questions around EPRC give me a shout, had one early last year - was smooth and painless, and definitely one of the easier parts of the whole MC dabarcle.

Currently on CD7 or 8. Not really counting as we’re still not really trying. Was surprised to find CM today, with has a slight pink tinge to it. Was planning on seeing if DH was in the mood tonight, but we’ve already had cross words and he’s only in the door five minutes - so not looking good!?!

No word from clinic. I wouldn’t mind if I had an appointment and working toward something. But it’s not having been acknowledged. Not sure who to chase with either, doctor/EPU? And my frustration goes back to the point this is not a six week referal I had chased after last MC in November. Grrr!

How’s you @Pampl3m0usse? Has the infection cleared okay? House move progressing? Glad you’re treating yourself - nosering sounds fab!

mk87 · 21/06/2018 19:21

Thanks Pineapple. Think I am most worried about the drugs before hand and being bumped off the list/waiting all day which can't be avoided. I tried to go private as I had cover from work but they need me to see a consultant first and the nhs could fit me straight in. I should be 10 weeks but measuring 9 and no hb. From what they said I probably had one and it stopped recently! When I went at 8 weeks there was no fetal pole and measures at 6 weeks so it's caught up quite a lot which surprised them convinced now that I have stressed so much these past two weeks that I have caused it! Checked by two people and they were adamant that at that size it should have one.

Michelle0507 · 21/06/2018 19:40

It does sound strange @MK87 and can't be easy.

What do you mean by drugs before hand, there wasn't really any? When I had mine they told me it'd be first thing as they always do the list. I expressed I wanted to go down first thing and they supported this.

PineapplePrincess · 21/06/2018 21:31

That does sound odd @mk87, but yet definitely at 9-10 weeks there should be a heartbeat. The confusion can’t be helping you process everything, Flowers

At my hospital, not sure if everywhere is the same, gynaecology have their own operating theatre so there is low risk of being bumped on the day. I was admitted last year as an emergency case (severe pain with little bleeding) and because it was the weekend there was only general theatres available so I was constantly bumped. Had to wait till Monday when they had the choice of both general/gynae theatres. Was done by lunch time.

Meds wise, you don’t tend to get much until your anaesthetic, unless you are in pain. I was given vaginal suppositories to relax the cervix about an hour or so beforehand, which some hospitals do and some don’t.

Anaesthetic given pre-theatre and usually via cannula. They warn you of a burning sensation going up your arm and a bitter taste in the mouth - but as soon as you get the sensations you’re out cold. I remember the anaesthetist counting my down from ten, I never made it to one!?!

mk87 · 22/06/2018 15:18

All had gone pretty smoothly just waiting to be discharged. Feeling quite proud I kept it together. So far I'd definitely recommend this over a natural approach. Thanks for all your support x
