Hi JOEM I didn't want to leave your post unanswered. I'm sorry for your losses; it's a horrid place to find yourself. I don't know if it helps but I had 3 losses within a year followed by 3 healthy pregnancies (and another recent loss) so please hang on to hope. It is extremely likely that you will go on to have a successful pregnancy.

Have you miscarried recently - and have you had a bfn since (just to rule out any retained products of conception - although you would probably have other signs of these too!). Have you ovulated yet this cycle? It could be ovulation pains - some women find these get much worse after miscarriages, but they tend to be either on the left or the right rather than period-like, so that might not be it either. Other than that, I sometimes feel 'period-like' pain when my bowels are a bit off - could it be that? Hope you find an answer ...

Oh, I forgot - if you have recently DTD, then that can sometimes cause uterine cramps too!

Hi, Thank you for your reply, I last miscarried at the beginning of April and this is the first time since then that we have tried again, I think I'm around the time of ovulation, I usually get pains but not like these ones, I had to take pain killers, also I am having trouble going to the loo, i thought I was ready to try again but these pains brought back lots of bad memories, Thank you again for replying xx

Hi again can I ask, did you do any thing different with your 3 healthy pregnancy s? Xx

I wish I could pin it down to something I did differently, but I'm not sure I can. For all 3 I used progesterone supplementation once I got a bfp and also took low dose aspirin. For the first successful pregnancy I also used prednisolone in the first trimester but not for the next two pregnancies. I've just had my 4th loss (well, in progress!) on aspirin and progesterone though so I don't think it's my magic bullet and there isn't good empirical evidence that the treatments I used are effective for unexplained RPL in clinical trials.

This is the current theory that I'm exploring:

Have you found that you conceive reasonably easily?

Hope that your pain has decreased today. Which tests have you had done?

I'm sorry for what you are going through, I've had blood tests to see if I'm ovulating, which I am, one for sticky blood and an xray to see if my fallopian tubes are blocked which there not, also tests for any infections which came back clear, I usually get pregnant on the first try, I'm taking asprin but I've never heard of the things you have mentioned, did you get these through your doctor? X
