Barking that's ace!!!! Start of things to come xx

Monten · 23/02/2015 21:55

Sorry the consultant worried you sebs, mine did too. I was frightened beforehand too, I'm really scared of GAs. You will be okay though. I felt relief afterwards. Pls look after yourself. Have you considered speaking to your gp about how you're feeling? There is help out there if you feel you're not coping. It's so much to deal with.

Welcome to the newbies.

I'm so glad you're appointment went well barking.

Monten · 23/02/2015 21:56

your grrr

bythesea82 · 23/02/2015 22:01

Hi all and welcome to the new faces. Sorry to have been a bit absent, have a stinking cold and on go slow!
Just a quick check in but barking, so pleased it was a good appointment and you won't have long to wait for IVF to start.
sebs hope tomorrow is ok as can be. Look after yourself.
Sorry not to mention others, must sleep but thinking of you all Flowers

Frecklefire · 23/02/2015 22:04

Boozle 80, what side effects can progestetone have on baby? I got progesterone from end of week 6. Pregnancy stopped progressing at 7 week 7.
Just trying to consolidate what i've learnt on here in the past week. Is it best to do nhs tests and contact coventry in tandum - then you are waiting for both at the same time thetefore cutting down on the time ypu have to wait to try again (I'm 40 and get pregnant easily - thank God.) Still really p'd off that mate has been offered loads of help with her next preg after 2 mc and i got nothing and went on to have a third. Anyone know anything about the reputation for help with rmc at any hospitals in the leeds/bradford/harrogate area?

Justonemoretime · 23/02/2015 22:18

Freckle, the progesterone was a typo. No known risks to baby Smile
Good news Barking!
Sebs, good luck tomorrow. You will be fine. You will be able to begin to put yourself back together after the procedure.

tannyLoo · 23/02/2015 22:25

Sebs good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. Your DP is right. If this feeling persists, please do talk to your GP. Some counselling and/or medication might help get through the early stages of grief. I hope that after tomorrow things will start to feel less raw.

twilightstruggle · 23/02/2015 22:34

Oh wow Barking that's amazing on both counts. So glad it was a positive appointment and over the moon that you're starting ivf so soon. Massive positive vibes being sent your way.

Seb - I hope tomorrow goes as well as it can do. Will be thinking of you. I agree with the idea of perhaps having a chat with your gp if you're still feeling this blue in a couple of days. Also maybe seeing if there are any ways you can let DP support you a bit more. I know you say you're used to handling adversity on your own but sometimes life throws shit at us where we just have to let others be there for us, as terrifying and alien as that might be. Does that make sense?

ThePopAndCry · 23/02/2015 22:51

Frecklefire - was with Leeds recurrent miscarriage clinic but am now with a different dept due to the late loss. Have you been referred to any of these hospitals yet?

Brummiegirl15 · 23/02/2015 23:02

Thinking of you tomorrow Sebs

Jady77 · 23/02/2015 23:13

Sebs i know you're in a dark place right now, but hang in there. It takes time, but things will become lighter. I had similar thoughts and at the same time was desperate to create life and be pregnant again. It's such a confusing time, your mind goes everywhere. But it will ease. I also echo what others have said about getting additional support. Sometimes it's useful to be able to vent, talk, to someone who's purely there for you and not so close to it as your DP and know they're not judging you in any way. I hope you manage to get some rest tonight. Flowers

Flower29 · 23/02/2015 23:16

Hi all,
Struggling to keep up with this but wanted to say I hope it goes ok for you tomorrow seb (well, as well as it can do).
Glad your app went well barking and it's great that you're ready to go next cycle. Will have my fingers crossed for you, hope this time will be it.
So so sad to read of more newcomers Sad. I'm so very sorry for your losses, it is so shit what some of us have to go through. Especially to lose your baby so late on pop Sad. Hugs and Flowers to you all. X

longestlurkerever · 23/02/2015 23:16

Good news Barking!

sebs I totally agree re scrabbling in the dark. I have managed to piece together my own diagnosis from books and advice on here more than from actual tests and consultations. I hope tomorrow marks a corner for you.

bythesea good to hear from you. Hope all well with you.

Feeling better and more positive this week after last week's wobble. Even starting to think about organising stuff.

Boozle80 · 24/02/2015 06:10

It was a complete typo Freckle, sorry to worry you. I was talking about a steroid. I was under St Mary's in Manchester and I can honestly say they are fantastic - they're also self referral and take people from out of area so if you're close I'd really recommend them. Let me know if you want any details. Like any nhs hospital it can take a while of chasing your tail but once you're in it's a great place to be.

girliesaints · 24/02/2015 06:36

Thinking of you Sebs, hope it all goes ok x

barkingtreefrog · 24/02/2015 06:44

Thinking of you Sebs. Thanks

Boozle80 · 24/02/2015 06:48

I hope it all goes as well as it can today Sebs

bootles · 24/02/2015 07:07

sebs virtual hand holding for today. I have had 2 erpc's and 1 tfmr (basically the same), and have felt physically fine pretty much straight after all of them. Thinking of you xx

Marchgirl · 24/02/2015 07:11

Thinking of you today sebs x

Fantastic news on the ivf barking, sounds like you are being well cared for, which is good to hear

Flen · 24/02/2015 07:23

Great news barking! Glad you had a positive experience with the consultant.

Sebs hope all goes well today.

bootles · 24/02/2015 07:24

popandcry so sorry to hear about your losses. Your recent loss must be devastating, I am so sorry. The searching for answers can feel like a desperate process, and I very much hope the pm brings you more information.

I know its not the same, but I had a tfmr at 13 weeks after a bad 12 week scan. She was found to be chromosomally normal, and I was told it was a 'developmental issue'. I have high uNK cells, but no-one can confirm if this was the cause. To get past the 12 WK scan and have a good NIFTY result only to lose your baby later must be utterly heartbreaking. I think the NIFTY only tests for the three main trisomies, so could it still be a chromosomal issue?

bakingtins · 24/02/2015 07:27

sebs thinking of you today Flowers

OP posts:
bootles · 24/02/2015 07:28

Someone asked about NIFTY - its the same as HARMONY, a non-invasive blood test that tests for the three main trisomies (I think) with an accuracy of 99 % or something.

barking so pleased things are progressing fast! Hugest luck and positive vibes (terrible English there!)

Catlover2014 · 24/02/2015 08:25

Glad you had a positive appointment barking! We will all be here for you during the IVF. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Sorry to see new ladies on here. You're in the best place though, lots of knowledge and support here. Work is busy so can't quite keep up but will try to catch up soon.

Tanny, any signs of this baby yet? X
